Bloodlust *3*
Why is anything past bloodlust 1 even in the game still? Is this considered a "legitimate strategy" to kill people according to devs? Orrrrr.....

EDIT: everyone saying I should've learned to loop instead of dropping pallets, hear me out. A four lane against ghostface? That pallet is useless. The second pallet? I knew he would swing at it, as he did. If I wouldve waited for the killer stun, I would've been hit through it without a doubt, as I am on c o n s o l e. I'm red rank. :) all he had to do is kick the pallet and we would've moved to a dead zone but he decided to waste 1.5 minutes bloodlusting. Also to people bringing up certain maps you need it for, that's a sign the map needs fixed, not that bloodlust should be a thing!
KILLER MAINS: As a survivor, my issue with bloodlust is that it just isn't a good feeling to go down because of that instead of a good mind game or whatever else. I'm not mad I went down at all, but that it was because of a mindless tactic. But look at it this way: I wasted 1.5 minutes of the killer's time with a single pallet. He could've broken it, forced me to other resources, chased people off gens along the way, anything else, but he chose to do this. It hurts killers more than anything. Do you still think it should be in the game??

It is a "strategy" a bad one but still.
It's still in the game because it helps close the gap made from loops otherwise low mobility killers would be dead on arrival at longer loops or jungle gyms.
Poor map design being abused (looping) was the main reason it was made and will stay until all maps are "balanced". There are still old maps that can be run far longer than they should if a killer is stubborn for a survivor.

@starkiller1286 That's frustrating then. It requires entirely no skill at all, making these killers never attempt at being better, but still being rewarded for it with a down eventually. I was this only guy's kill because he tunneled me all game and got me with bloodlust and noed at the end. I'm glad my team got out, but it doesn't feel good to be cheated by BHVR at the end and dying to a poor mechanic.
If they are keeping this as a pathetic, interim map "balancer" it still needs a major nerf. Remove tier 3, at the very least, ya know?

I had Bloodlust III yesterday. Not that it helps on loops it triggers on, but well... It exists.

You are complaining that you got caught by the killer after 1 MINUTE AND 30 SECONDS of looping around 1 ALREADY DROPPED PALLET?

baby survivor? he droped an unsafe pallet without being close to the killer, what he should do, and after he manages to survive 1 minute while being bloodlusted, the baby is the killer that doesn't even respect (or even know what is) dead hard and still uses the worst bait

Honestly, I never passed bloodlust 1 in a chase. Ah and, good plays with that unsafe pallet, alltought your dead hard was not the best, the killer is braindead so it worked

Honestly, I agree with the OP. As you can see in the video, it took the bloodlusting killer one and half minutes to down the survivor which is only enough time to do 3 gens and that’s completely unacceptable. Bloodlust should be gone so that a single survivor can play like a MegHead and can have the ability to loop the killer easily for 5 gens instead of just 3!

Bloodlust takes a long time to activate. Meanwhile, gens will get finished and games ends pretty quick if killer keeps chasing with bloodlust. If you bloodlust EVERY chae you will lose all gens in no time. No need to nerf

I think bloodlust should be removed. It honestly is a gimmicky way of reaching survivors, but also, it hurts the killer sometimes more than the survivor. Spending so much time to bloodlust a single pallet can be the difference of 1-2 gens popping, just for a hit.

It doesn't really have a purpose. You can't loop a killer around 1 pallet forever, so why is it in the game? What purpose does it really have? I find it quite unnecessary, personally.

Even in those scenarios, Bloodlust will break half the time and make it impossible to even utilise it. Don't follow people into strong loops then. Whenever I'm on Asylum, I will never follow a survivor inside.

With bloodlust, that "can't loop forever" is slightly shorter. So maybe bloodlust actually helps survivors to be smarter by forcing them to leave it earlier?

Why is there a need for it? If you loop a killer around a pallet for 15 seconds or more, why are you even wasting time chasing them? Just that is 15 seconds you AREN'T applying pressure to gens or other survivors. Killers really need to learn when to break a chase, rather than attempting to get a survivor with Bloodlust.

Bloodlust kinda forces the survivor to drop pallets a bit earlier tho. Without it they have to nerf loops and amount of pallets. There are a few settings where survivor could kinda infinite loop without dropping a pallet if there is like a setting with 2 windows.
It definitely has a right to exist and it's easy to play around. Out of sight, drop pallet, bait attack and so on...

This is false. It's actually a common trope for a slasher movie when killer abandons one victim to ambush another. And this is fine for a surv to have a plan, and its kinda part of your job to ruin it.

Ehhhhhhhh, well it can be. You're still pretty new, so i'm sorry to say, but you should get better before you say "Bloodlust is bad". The problem is, a good survivor knows that when the Killer loses sight of the survivor and the chase, they lose Bloodlust, and if they break an object like a Pallet, or Generator. They lose Bloodlust.
The game is built around you're not going to chase a survivor for 9 minutes. You give a little chase, take a free hit, and leave, or you chase, down, hook and leave. Bloodlust is really only useful to slow Killer's that can't end chases quickly, and even then it's a poor choice to rely on it.
But it's definitely not an issue for survivors that know what they are doing.

But then what do you do when all 4 survivors will run to the safe haven without fail? Everytime you hit someone on Crotus Prenn will result in them running to the Asylum, because it is one of, if not the safest building in the game.

As others have pointed out it's a bandaid for bad map design. It can't be removed until maps are fixed. If he bloodlusts you like he did you already won the game anyway because of the time wasted, so bloodlust isn't helping him win the game.
Also, let's think about that loop at the end there. Were you really outplaying him, or was that loop just way safer than it should be? He chases you around and has to completely just guess whether you will jump the pallet or fake it. Luckily for you the pallet is so overly safe that you have enough time to tell that if he is going to commit to one side or not and can still vault at the last split second if he calls your bluff. That leeway time is taken once he gets bloodlust and hits you.
Without bloodlust that pallet is impossible to outplay unless you just play really badly. It is entirely up to the survivor and he has no outplay potential because of how overly safe that pallet is. Pallets that safe shouldn't exist or be way less common than they are.

Asylum also has 4 save pallets inside, so your point falls flat, because you have to break them in order to keep chasing, and it removes bloodlust.

You really think that's an unsafe pallet though? The loop around it is a bit too big for it to be an unsafe pallet. Unless the killer has Bloodlust of course. There's no position the killer can be in where he can hit a survivor if he properly predicts whether the survivor will slide over the pallet or not, since survivors have enough time to slide back again simply because the loop the killer needs to go around is too big.

Which slasher movie are you watching where the killer goes "darn, the dumb blond is too fast, guess i'll go for the token black guy". Typically the killer always somehow gets each person alone because they always split up. Its just abunch of 1 v 1s with epic death scenes...cuz thats why we watch slasher movies. Epic death scenes.

OP got chased for nearly 1.5 minutes and used 2 pallets. That's a strong chase. Also OP did loop the second pallet pretty well.

youre right about the first one, the survivor should have not dropped the first one. she should have instead ran to the next loop and looped around it. instead she panicked and threw it down extremely early.

Between a survivor and killer's tools in chase, bloodlust is what a pallet is to a survivor, yet a survivor can get the killer to disable their bloodlust by breaking the pallet, thus balancing out the chase when it continues. Scratched mirror doesn't have bloodlust at all, and that results in almost every loop being an infinite, which is why you don't commit to long chases with that Shape build. If the killer wants to commit to that chase, let them be, if they eventually get you, that's the idea.

I never use dead hard so I'm still learning how to use it properly. I don't want to be considered a dependent meta perk using survivor lol. But I threw it on randomly.
