Just Remove Ranks Entirely

"Ranks will remain visible only to you for bragging rights and a goal to work towards, but will be a reflection of your dedication to the game rather than skill"

Uh, don't we already have that in the form of player level and Devotion? So now we'll have a 3rd meaningless number on the screen?

Rank will no longer be used for matchmaking and it will also be hidden from all other players, so... What's the point of keeping ranks at all?

    Achievements, probably. And also as a visible measure of your own skill, although there's not a lot of value to it since, as everyone has been saying for a while, rank really means nothing when it comes to measuring skill. Still, it's better than nothing, and some might enjoy having it regardless.

    I'm really unsure about it. It sounds like it's going to be practically useless. Maybe they're working on improving the system? I don't know. I guess I'm just happy that matchmaking will be based off of something else, since what we have now is pretty flawed and inconsistent.
