In this instance it best to leave them slugged and close the hatch before picking them up.
It easily could have been a 4k in this scenario.

Killers have asked for DS to be nerfed as it is used in over 80% of matches but BHVR have yet to respond.
Welcome to having a team member wasting time to do a sabotage two hooks daily, moris, keys and hatch mechanics.

Same when they 99 the doors and then get downed. I just had one and i could not rem if i hooked them or not in the last min and just assumed they had DS. So i let them crawl around rather than taking the chance of them getting out with the door at 99

When that happens, and they like to be cocky, I just run a snowball build and slug all of them and let them bleed out, I don't really like my time wasted so they'll either DC, get up with Unbreakable, or die, I just text on my phone. :)

I actually slugged the last person. The last 2 I basically played hook exchange until the Claud died. For some reason I guess Feng's DS just ran out in between till the very end. It's stupid af if you ask me.
I don't even tunnel, yet the "anti-tunnel perk" gives the last survivor a free win. She even pip'd?
Yet I don't get a double pip because I was matched against a team of purple/red rank potatos? Cool story bro.

DS isn't over 80%, infact devs even said Self-Care is closer to 80% than any other survivor perk in usage

And if you close the hatch early, then killing the last survivor gives you less points than a normal sacrifice? Lol what? Okay. That makes sense? (It doesn't make any sense).
Sorry I really fail to see how punishing the Killer is how you should remedy Survivors taking the game hostage.

It's merited in this situation. I deserved a double pip, I did well. I expect to be rewarded as such.
What I think is your response is a perfect example of when people say Survivors ALWAYS act entitled, and expect free wins handed to them, even when they play poorly, and abuse perks that lets them ignore punishment.
Because both happened. A perk designed to avoid tunneling, was used to ignore punishment instead, and then they found a free win mechanic taking my earned double pip away.

The thing with DS in this scenario is like NOED you have to expect it to be possibly used by each and every player.
There are issues with DS I agree but for myself its more about it breaking momentum with those who dont tunnel and randomly find the same survivor after hooking another in certain situations.
In this instance though it seems you had a way to counter it but fell foul of not expecting it and lost the last one due to it. At least this will cement this into memory for yourself and I doubt you will fall foul of it again as once bitten twice shy.

Lol you right. Honestly I think at this point i'm just going to go a slug build like all the other killers and watch as they bleed out on the ground. It's all just potato's in red ranks at this point anyways, sooner or later they will want to leave the game too.
I had been tracking DS, but for some reason Feng's (I guess) just kept getting just finished of cooldown any other time she was downed, because I was trying to force and DS's out as much as possible all early game (There wasn't any mid or late game, since they didn't get a single gen done). But nope. AT the very end of the game it was there... For some reason?
Nah i'm done playing for today, that and a slew of other bad matches, ######### auto-aim system, poor pip system, poor ranking, and then the often SWF. Killer is too infuriating, and i'm not even going to touch solo survivor which I imagine wouldn't go any better for me. So i'm just going to wait till my SWF get's on to play later to play anymore. This is what the Dev's would have wanted anyways ;)

The devs say that self care is the most used by a large margin, and isn't even close to ruin still.(ruin was 44% overall)

I can understand that, I don't even use DS because it isn't reliable in most cases. Just this one situation, not only did the perk not be used for it's intended purpose (let's be real it never is after the first month of playing), but it gave the last survivor a free win because of it.
I am just more baffled that a survivor has the ability to win when a not a single generator is done. Like honestly I feel like i'm going to find a way to abuse this. You know just like completely sabotage my whole team, and then take the hatch.

Oh no, I don't forget. It's pretty dumb, but at the same time you don't give any player Free Win mechanics.
The original purpose - if you remember - of the hatch. Is that is was implemented into the game to stop Survivors from taking the game hostage when thing's don't go their way.
Which it's common sense to know that if one player is doing something wrong, you don't remedy that problem by giving them a free win, but that's what happened.
Honestly when it comes down to the last survivor, EGC should just start. Doesn't activate the doors, or anything. It just starts. Then if the survivor can finish the last gen(s), then have the hatch open, or make them have to power the gates. Otherwise the entity takes them after the timer to avoid survivors from hiding.

You still technically win whether or not the last survivor gets out, so hatch shouldn't be too much of a bother. The entity feeds off hope and that just doesn't exist when the gates spawn close together.

I shouldn't lose a double pip for it. Like the number one, and pretty much only problem is that it punishes the killer. Sure you "won the game", but it doesn't feel like you won, when you are a tick short of a double pip because the last survivor got a free mechanic.
It's like you're playing poker, and you can bet half your chips to force the last guy at the table to go all in, and then when you do the dealer looks through the deck, hands him a clean full house - hits you over the head with a baseball bat, and then gives the rest of your chips to that other player.

I wonder what my opinion is gonna be like with the new MMR. I would probably enjoy getting 2 kills more, because I assume i'm ranking up from it.
Honestly that is how the ranking system should be for killer, as simple as "Did he get 2 kills? Yes? then a pip" "Did he get 3 kills? Yes? Then double pip". Because confirmed by the dev's using tactics like camping, tunneling, and Mori's is completely viable.
Survivor is a bit harder, because if you just let everyone pip with a free win mechanic that can get broken very quickly. Then again already it's too easy to rank as survivor.

Killers are not entitled to 4Ks each game.

They are if they did the work to deserve them. Survivors are not entitled to a win just for surviving to the last, they should actually have to complete an objective to get out.

In other words, survivors that are amazing should still be sacrificed immediately, because all killers are entitled to 4Ks no matter how bad they are.

What is amazing about not being able to loop, run, hide, or complete any objectives all match?
Oh wait. I get it. As survivor getting 1 skill check, and not being the last one on hook is exactly all you need to be "the best" at this game for survivor.

@Peanits I think this thread is actually what's bad in this game. The gross amount of entitlement survivors now have because the game has been made far too easy for them.
I would like to further my idea, of removing the hatch, and just starting EGC at the last survivor to avoid a survivor taking the game hostage by hiding.

I didn't even make the big deal out of it. The whole thread started with a single line. I got my point across, someone can say one line that isn't in Survivor's favor and then everything breaks loose.

At first it was fine; you didn't make a big deal out of here - the thread spiraled out of control down the line. As who started it, I ain't naming anyone, but I feel like everyone here is at fault (myself including) really, as no one truly is to blame.
Let us get back on track; I am here to spread awareness of what harassing other people can do and everyone is entitled to their own opinion - you are allowed to disagree, but harassing others isn't really a good idea (as I mentioned above with the consequences).
