40 seconds to find someone with Whispers is a very long time. Plus the fact they did 4 gens in 2 minutes is a bit of a red flag that you never even looked near gens.

"pressure" can only be applied to bad survivors. Good survivors will walk a couple feet away, the second the chase ends they will go back to their gen, finish it in 20 seconds and then proceed to find another survivor to heal, i dont even bother too much with chasing beyond 10 maybe 15 seconds because if i do 3 gens get done.
Edit: After reading about the huntress plays, i could be wrong but the two or three seconds that are different between hatcheting first or m1ing first shouldnt matter in this situation. Thats the equivalent of saying " Hey because you checked a locker its your own fault for being genrushed"

Did I say generator times weren't a problem? Are you trying to tell me that spending 20 seconds searching for a survivor in case they wanted to flashlight save when they didn't even have a flashlight to begin with wasn't a mistake? Would it take you 40 seconds to find a survivor on a generator with Whispers equipped?
You don't have to attack my integrity just because I happen to have a different point of view in this particular scenario. Maybe try looking at things objectively for once instead of assuming that anyone who doesn't agree with you is a mindless sycophant.

I like how people are saying pressure gens. A while back I was playing Michael with no addons or perks right? So we all at the asylum. Mind you I'm a survivor main but I love Michael, so I play killer from time to time. I was just playing around. I was green rank at the time.
I never kicked a gen. I got a 4k with 2 gens left. I never hooked anyone either. I just kept drowning them and waited for them to pick up their teammates and went after the healthy ones only. It got to the point where they bleed out one by one. I didnt go back to the one on the ground until after they fully healed and even then I didn't tunnel them. I just left them. For those that tried to loop me i popped my tier 3 and well.. downed them and left. It was a fun game.

Dude just apply pressure at the start of the match when every single pallet is up. It's so easy! Just immediately down a survivor and slug them when slugging, while applying pressure, doesn't get you hooks. Dude just walk across those massive maps and apply pressure on every killer easily. Dude just abandon the chase on an injured person when they'll do a gen injured while we pretend they'll SC in the corner. Dude just pressure the gens, get a hook, go into 5 chases at once and pressure the gens.

I'm sorry, but if you don't want to come across as someone who defends everything the devs put out maybe you shouldn't try to blame one player for a problem that has been affecting many.
If good players are having trouble with the gen speed, how do you think it is for low skill players?
You can't just say "it's your fault you took to long to find them" as an excuse for Gen speed.

Not that I did say that - what I said was "It's hard to say whether generators were actually the problem there without seeing a video of your gameplay". They might have been, and they might not, but I can point out several major mistakes just in the way OP described the game that point towards the outcome of the match having more to do with lack of pressure than flaws in the game design.
I can see mistakes even in the video they posted, where they got a 4K. And that's fine, because they're rank 12, and no one should expect their gameplay to be flawless. But that doesn't mean it's not their fault if they lose. I never said, and never will say, that the game is perfectly balanced, but blaming the game for a loss when the player could have played better is a terrible habit to get into and helps no one in the long run.

The problem is we fall into a trap of shifting the problem around, while using specific scenarios as escape goat to justify questionable mechanics.
Op lost cause he play poorly, Ok, but what about everyone else who play better and still get can't stop 2 gens from propping right in the beginning of the game?
That's why people complain that killer is stressful. There is little to no room for mistakes.
"Guess the side of the map wrong in the beginning of the match, oh well, guess that's 2 gens before I get my first hook"
The game needs to be balanced around high skill lvl players, otherwise it's an inconsistent mess.

Imagine wasting 20 secs (1/4 of a generator) or (1/4 of 3 gens if all three were on the last couple gens) looking around for a flashlight save and complaining that you didn’t waste time

I can somewhat tell what was going through her head.
The annoyance that she walked all the way across the map. Finally found someone even though a gen popped then for 2 more to pop moments later. Just defeats the purpose of even trying anymore honestly

Actually before she came to me she was chasing my friend. I was in a 2 man swf.
She gave up on him bc he was looping her real good between a double T and a jungle gym

And exactly what you just said is the piece of the puzzle missing when I ask people why they feel like they got gen rushed.
Sometimes I get it, map rng hits heavy and you have a group of survivors who are decent, and have toolboxes, but how you play as a killer matters.
Applying pressure is not just a meme, it's a reality. Some people will ultimately suffer in their matches unless they know how to properly apply any kind of pressure for that matter.

And with the volume of complaining it makes you think about how much Ruin was relied on, and the new version dismissed so heavily.
After rewatching @Angeleou 's clip, I thought about the value he could have gotten from using Ruin that match. He applied a decent enough gen pressure that it would have given him quite the advantage if it was a decent totem spawn.

Depends on how survivors play honestly. This were solos or just 2 friends playing together who knows about the others? 4man swf with OoO and ez pz. 4 good survivors will win in 90% the rest is with giving room for error and fuckups due to being human.

From what I can tell (and I can be corrected because they blocked out the perks) I don't see indication that they had OoO or the other two were swf.
My main point is that I could report back here about all the bad matches I have had as a killer where I know I played bad and easily got "gen rushed". Because I understand that I didn't do my part, I can't really blame the survivors for playing well.

Rank 1 every season, im rank 1 atm and I barely play 4-5 matches a week lul. Did you notice you brag about being rank 1 every season yet you got genrushed by ranks 12 right?

I thought your comment was about general killer gameplay. This is what I was talking about, sure it does matter how a killer plays. But in the end even if a killer does protect 3 gens, depending on which killer he plays ofc it is more or less tricky, you probably know how repair times are depending on 1/2/3 working on a single gen ( bring in a toolbox, pt, a few skillchecks).
So when survivor is not really bad, you know the gens and prevent the 3 gen from happening it doesn't take much and you leave the killer in the end with a gen situation that is impossible to defend.
Sure it does matter how killer plays but it is not the deceiding factor. A single mistake will cost you the game.

Most people dont understand what genrush is. You have 4 survivors each one in a different gen that means you'll get 3 popped no matter what. In the killer's position there's nothing you can do against that, cause most experienced survs they -if they're doing gens alone- they will just ran away barely hearing the heartbeat, making you take too much time to even get in a chase which translates in "nah bro, im not chasing you there, cya" and even if you commit to the chase, you'll lose mostly 4 gens.

Thats another issue you shouldn't NEED perks like that you should be able to play around with builds and have fun with various builds. You shouldn't need to focus your build on "How do I have a small build of 2 perks based on something I want and fill the other 2 slots with slowdown perks that are NEEDED?"
