Me and a bunch of friends have successfully made a custom patch about sounds;
This is FAR from perfect, but this is something right?
FOR NOW WE WILL KEEP IT PRIVATE BUT WANT TO KNOW IF CHANGING OURS CLIENT IS ALLOWED.
This can be seen as a tool that can give us an unfair advantage compared to other killer that's why we are asking.
We just want to fix the game problem by yourself if BHVR take THAT much of the time (Not a criticism there are already working on a lot of patches ; keep up guys ! )

Edit: YES, we are aware that easy anti cheat will potentially ban us, that's a part of the deal and we assume the risk.The point of this post is to know if BHVR will be ok with it

While I am not a dev, I can almost guarantee that editing sounds in any way will be a swift way of getting banned; even if the intentions are genuine.

Well you can't change the files in that way, at least from what I know.
But if you leaked that mod to the public, then maybe BHVR would fell the need to hurry up and fix it.

Yeah, this will be quite bad, that's why IF he have the approval from BHVR, we will work on it harder to being whitelisted by easy-anti cheat

I am unaware of any process that would allow this, but I also don't code or create mods myself. Best of luck to you.
As an aside, I feel the need to mention that sound issues have been a notorious problem in DBD; often being fixed one patch and then broken again in the next. I imagine that even if you do manage to successfully fix sounds, your hard work may be undone the next time the game is updated; and you are then stuck fixing your mod again.

Being banned by the anti-cheats is our problem and we know the risk, we just want to know if BHVR are against the "custom client thing " or if you don't mind them;
imagine tomorrow you see someone coming and say: these people have a custom client with better sound this is unfair for me because I don't have it! will you ban those people MANUALLY ?; thx for your work ^^

There is a very high chance you, and your friends, will be banned. The anti-cheat will pick up on you eventually, if not immediately.
The Devs will not be able to do anything for you.

Can you do something to provide players an opportunity to custom their game a little bit without triggering the anti-cheat?

Nah they wont ban them manually, im pretty sure they have an automated tool for that.

why don't you send your solution to the devs so they can apply it for everyone, maibe you can help them in fixing the problem instead risking the ban... just saying

Can you people stop being rude and spreading false information? BHVR does not control EasyAntiCheat and they just told him that they cant dispute the ban.
OP said that he is aware of EAC, and guess what, everyone who knows at least a bit about anti cheats knows how easy it is to bypass it so dont worry about him lol.
