How to deal with a losing streak?
So i've been on a pretty big losing streak right now and it's kinda killing the motivation to play killer
How do you people deal with losing a lot in a row?

Don't play. Find something else to do for the next few days.

When I'm on a losing streak I usually try out the other side to see if I'll have a better time. If that doesn't work then I'll play a different game or take a break and do something else.

Sometimes I try to mix things up and set different challenges/goals. I'll play NOED Wraith and stay hidden until 4 or 5 gens are done. Then I'll see how many kills I can get. You'd be surprised how fun and freeing it is to play by your own rules.

First thing I would say is don't sweat the losses. Sometimes you just have a bad game, sometimes you have a bad night. Oh well, it happens, there's always next time. Shifting your focus away from winning also helps. Try out some different gimmicky builds and go in not expecting to win, that way you're not disappointed if you don't and you're pleasantly surprised if you do.
If that fails and you're starting to get upset, take a break. Watch a movie, cool off, maybe go hang out and watch someone on Twitch. There's nothing wrong with taking a break if losing is getting to you. Forcing yourself to play when you're upset isn't going to make it any better.

Also play your best killer with ebony Mori or whatever toxic build u want; or play a rank 20 account for a couple of games, or take a break and play something else.

Huntress with iri hatchets always makes me giggle.

Sucking it up, don't sweat it. I usually reflect back to what I did wrong in past matches and eventually learn little by little.
Don't stick to long chases, pressure as many gens as you can or something. :p

I'll usually go play another game like RDR 2, Kingdom Come, Death Stranding, or Payday 2 until I get the urge to play DBD again. Its ok to take breaks 😊.

Stop playing for a bit. This advice comes from playing fighters, the more you lose, the more you will lose (I think there actually some science on this too).
Come back to the game in a few hours/the next day and approach it with a fresh mind. You'll find your brain has processed your past mistakes and you will play better for it.
If you mean you've been losing games consistently for weeks or months then in that case you might want to go and find some guides study killer a bit, but I'm pretty sure thats not what you're asking.
Some others in this thread have suggested swapping sides and playing survivor for a bit. That's fine if you feel its more chilled playing survivor, but if your goal is to survive in chases etc. you will find your losing streak from playing killer has probably affected your mood and will cause you to play bad as survivor too, so if you do find thats the case then it's best to take a short break as mentioned above.

Spirit is usually my cure when I have a rough game or two. It's GG if nobody has Iron Will, and it takes slightly longer if they do.

Go for more bp if I can't get in my kills or escapes. The challenges help in that regard. Hey my team is going down like a house of cards, but if I can get in my heals for the challenge, not all is lost.

I usually switch over to survivor for a while, just so I can feel a little less stressed. If I do have a lot of losses as Killer, I just stop trying to kill them really. I'll smack them around a little, chase them about, earn some BP, but let them escape. Or, I'll just completely mess with them and have fun. I tried Ghostface and when a Survivor saw me, I ran away from them. It turned into a match where they basically chased me. Yeah, it wasn't productive, but it was a fun match and I made some new allies for the game. So yeah, just try not to stress over it too much, and take a break if it gets too much.

Killers aren't meant to have fun.

Pick a different killer. One that you have not played before and EXPECT to lose but gain some experience. You will derank. Maybe a few times and then you will be served up some easier games.
This is how i picked up myers. I hit the wall at rank 10 with the trapper a few years ago. I could not get past that wall.
So i said screw it. Played myers and he became my main for a while till i hit a wall with him.
Then picked up doc. Liked doc a lot. The ability to flush out survs and deal with loopers was cool. Then i hit a wall with him.
The fact that i was running in circles a lot was starting to irritate me.
Then i found freddy. At first i only started using the snares. To me this was the killer i was goign to play. Then i found out about the fake pallets and i jumped ranks like crazy and am about to hit 7 when i am normally a green/yellow ranked killer.
Being able to cut out entire loop sections and the mobility he has is what i like. To me he has some good map presence. I am a hook em and leave em killer. So what they get unhooked? Ok, if they do it in your face things will have to change but by and large they hang a bit. Best game was ten hooks and no gens done. On a cornfield map which i freaking hated but i had lots of luck that game. 20 seconds after the hook i was already in another chase.

play different killers and know that the more you are losing, the lower your rank becomes, meaning you will hit a point where you are winning again.
as far as winning and losing is defined in this game....its quite subjective.
I would also recommened watching some Otzdarva or so, that can remotivate you to play.

On Killer side i'll have some round of parcours-billy. Double Engravings and Autohaven offering and you are back on track.
On surv side i'll try different builds and perk-synergies and expect the worst.

Keep your expectations low and you will never be disappointed

I've just started to play today, and had 6 matches in a row that went terrible. Killer is just too hard to play now. I'm going to stop playing until my friends get on to play survivor with.

Dr. peanits--the most famous psychologist in the fog, major in ...losing streak.

Thanks for the responses everyone
I've decided to p3 doctor and just focus on bloodpoints and trying random things based on what the bloodwebs give me
I think the biggest issue is the matchmaking went from rank 5 to rank 9 and i still only go against red rank survivors
I can't wait for the new matchmaking

I try again on the next day. Some days are just cursed.

If I ever feel like I'm on a losing streak, I go straight to playing Leatherface. It's very weird but I've never got below a 3k with him despite maybe getting a 1/2k playing Freddy or Billy every so often. I just seem to get survivors who look good because of their cosmetics but then underestimate me and expect me to respect pallets by 20 feet, atleast.
