BT should become inactive, once the exit gates are powered. While there are still gens to work on, it should stay the way it is or may be even become the way it was before (give BT to both).

As a killer mostly player, BT is fine. Doesnt need a nerf.

What are you on about?
Do you know what BT's purpose is?Do you know what a no skill perk is?
Perks are not there for skills there are there to boost your chances of survival/getting more and faster kills.

The funny thing is, I don't tunnel.But there are instances where I lose one survivor and move on to the next in a very short amount of time, thus it ends up being the person with BT :) Don't assume

That sounds pretty good...discourage end game altruism and give 50% of all survivors invincibility...what could go wrong?

Survivors often sprint to the hook because they are running borrowed time. Or they hook tech. Neither of those are tunneling or camping.

Yup. Killers shouldn’t be blaming survivors for BT and DS being as strong as they are, they should be blaming all the craptastic players that just circle the hook waiting to tunnel.
The bad apples (and there are many) ruin it for everyone else.

I don't have an issue with BT. Usually if they unhook right in front of me the rescuer takes their place. We shouldn't nerf something because someone doesn't know how to play properly. That's what happened to ruin.
By itself it's fine. When mixed with other perks it can be unfair. I hate it when someone is saved from a hook, I assume they have BT and DS so I go after the rescuer. I hook the rescuer. The first hooked survivor heals up and comes back to make the save. Same situation, I assume there's BT and DS so I go after the healthy survivor who made the rescue. I down them and their DS from when I hooked them long ago is still up. That's what I want changed.

You say that like survivors dont play cheap with things like deadhard, AD, DS, toolboxes, and keys and if you dont think those things are cheap as hell you're showing your bias.

At end game,it's not that it's toxic, it's the difference between 3 getting out and 4. At that point, it's clutch saves at high risk becausedurvivors dont have time to wait around once the doors have been opened. Toxic is early game unhooks right after you hook.

BT only exists to counter camping. If you aren't camping 90% of the time if won't matter. That said I like the idea I saw earlier about having tokens for BT. Say you get 1/2/3 tokens. Each time you unhook somebody it spends a token. You are refunded the token if it is a safe unhook.

BT actually needs a buff. It shouldn't require a terror radius in order to activate.

To compensate they could make the radius smaller than the normal TR, maybe 24m?

That or reduce the time effect of BT to around 8 seconds, that way it's more reliable but can't be abused as it currently is.

15 seconds is short enough as is imo. That's only 25% of the DS timer.

I feel like the people asking for this nerf didnt play against the old double invincibility bt.
That was op as hell and had no negatives. New bt is fine outside of deepvwound being an awfully designed mechanic. You're still looking at a hook trade against. camping m1 killer. its only an escape by an exit gate and if so the killer should have planned better

Tell that to all the hook divers who go to unhook as soon as I finish hooking a survivor and turn my back. But survivors think anything the killer does is camping and tunneling.

It was made to combat camping. Only a fool doesn't see that. That doesn't mean people don't abuse it. Which is what my idea aimed at stopping.

If you wanna tunnel so bad wait 15 seconds or play Freddy and Doctor and not worry about BT as much.
Hook dives are literally almost free trades for killers, what's the problem in getting another hook in less than a minute here?

Alot of times when I see someone with BT try to bodyblock, i just chuck another hatchet to down em again. They CLEARLY wanted my attention, so they cant POSSIBLY yell tunneling when they themselves bodyblocked, lol

Rank 16 killers face red rank survivors REGULARLY. Maps are huge, filled with more pallets than can be kicked in the time it takes to complete 5 gens. These rank 16 killers can't earn pips because they are at 50-100 hours of playing time against teams with a combined 10k hours. Their experience is completely unenjoyable. Games fly by so quick they didn't get a chance to learn how to play killer. Killer que times are instant, survivor que times are like 10 minutes. This game is very unhealthy, you know this, I don't know why you are feigning like you don't know this. Hex perks are hidden in the most obvious spots and don't last AT ALL. Even if you have to stack up like Devour Hope, your hex totem will more than likely get cleansed before you start getting effects from it. There are a multitude of reasons why this game is survivor sided.

BT is frequently used to hook tech and hook dive. Its really not camping when the killer watches a survivor sprint to the hook before they have time to leave and yes it happens all the time.

all things considered i don’t think borrowed time needs a nerf. it’s extremely straight forward.. either you’re close enough for it to work, or you’re far enough for it not to; not to mention devour hope & make your choice promotes leaving the hooked survivor anyway.
a spirit with devour hope or make your choice combined with nurses calling can negate the terror radius, earn a stack for devour/give the unhooking survivor exposed status, potentially locate survivors if healing, down one, (potentially two rapid downs with MYC) hook the survivor(s), rinse and repeat while becoming an overall more deadly killer & turning the tables in your favor. add on something such as haunting grounds and u can punish survivors for playing too close to one another (at the price of not knowing exactly where devour hope is). a play style like that will negate BT essentially making them only have 3 perks, slow the game down a lot in terms of gens (even more so if u add on ruin or pop) and save urself a few controllers in the meantime.
its not abuse of a perk for someone to intentionally take a hit. it comes with its own con of having to mend. yes as a killer you’re taking additional time to entertain a chase you could’ve avoided, but the unhooked survivor is left useless (objectively) for 20+ seconds.
this game can seem unfair for killers or survivors when facing the right opponent(s). when you’re a solo survivor & u don’t run DS and no one has BT meanwhile the killer intentionally chases u, (frowned upon or not, it happens often in red ranks if gens are being popped enough) it’s frustrating.... simultaneously as a killer if ur play style kinda revolves around being relatively close to the hook but not focusing on it, then BT or DS can be annoying.
just as some perks are simply more effective & make the game much more challenging than others, so do some killers abilities and add-ons. if your biggest issue revolves around swf & difficulty dealing with BT or DS, choose a statistically better killer. if you find the better killers less fun & you wish to have a more entertaining, but less effective killer, then be prepared to be frustrated when u can’t counter certain perks that seem “broken”. i personally think BT is too situational to be nerfed.
& for the sake of keeping the “nerf BT” argument even remotely valid, let’s not mention eboni mori’s that come in the bloodweb pretty frequently after lvl 35, or some pretty game-changing add-ons that killers can use

The only thing I would change about BT is the way it stacks in a SWF and also... maybe hide the timer.
