Is there any point of getting excited about events?

I love double bp events

I was thinking the Ruin nerf might open a pathway to event objectives

The events are really blahhhhh at best so no not really in my opinion

I really want the devs to bring back the old Lunar New Years event where killers and survivors had to haunt for lanterns. It was fun, consumed a bit of survivors time, getting a lantern meant you were willing to risk being easier to locate and actually encouraged survivors to try to escape the trial, unlike Hallowed Blight, where most survivors filled their vial and committed suicide.

Though last event they said future events wil lbe tied with the Rift, which I hope they decided not to do, due to the backlash. Give me lanterns, give me special generators/hooks and just any kind of reward. Could be a recolor, could be special cosmetics in the shop. I don't want cosmetics/charms for logging into the game. If you're worried casuals won't be able to make it, then reduce the grind of the old events. These last two events have barely been events and are both pretty forgetable.
