How do you play nurse on console?

For those players that still think she's one of the best killers in the game, what perks/addons are you using on her?

I don't know how many hours I've put into her already but its been a LOT, I have over 1200 hrs on the game and play in console. I sometimes get a 4k, but in general, I'll lose 5-6 matches where everyone escapes before I get 1 4k, or even a 2k at red ranks. However I grab any other killer, literally any other killer ( i have them all at 50) and I do much better.

She needs something changed. There's too many bugs and issues with her right now:

  1. You get the blink right and the attack misses even though the survivor is in front of you.
  2. Statues/tires/rocks you cannot blink through.
  3. Staircases, you can blink down from them but not up ror across efficiently.
  4. Her individual cooldown on each blink on top of the fatigue. If you miss one blink, the chase is extended at least 10 sec.
  5. If you don't blink, you cant catch the survivor period, movement speed is too slow.

Use max sens, to be able to make the quick turns before the fatigue. This was a great improvement to my beloved P3 Nurse in ps4. She was my main.

But now shes crippled and i am not in the mood to swallow that cooldown down my throat.

Dont know if i helped at all. LoL

No because I already had it but thank you for replying. I don't think there is much to do, she is too broken. She needed a nerf but they str8 up broke her knew caps, lol.

    @Tro

Personally, this is the only Killer I never touched/touch, so it's hard for me to make a guide on The Nurse since I personally never liked her.

Even when I started playing I never played her and she was one of the Apex Killers (Still is depending on if you know how to use her) in the entire game. So, it's not like I didn't have the chance to play Pre-Nerf Nurse for a long time, I just personally never did because I felt she was a crutch if I knew how to play her.

That's just my opinion though, others would disagree but I personally saw her as a crutch. Now a days though, I still don't haven't picked her up, and I probably won't until she's my last P3-50. But besides how I feel about her, I can suggest some small tips below and some perks that would be useful on The Nurse for beginners, if you're looking for an advanced guide than this isn't the one sadly, this is just common sense and basic knowledge i'm giving you.

    tips and tricks

This part will be fairly short, but i'll give you some insight and basic tricks to know for playing Post-Nerf Nurse.

    Nurse's blink charges

For one, Nurse's blinks will recharge during her fatigue animation and than continue to recharge for another 4 seconds afterwards. Now, how does this make sense if both blinks take 3 seconds each? Well, the fatigue you get for base-kit Nurse is always a guaranteed thing during a chain-blink, knowing that means the first charge will recharge DURING the fatigue for 2 seconds and than finish 1 second after the fatigue is over.

So in a sense, you'll almost automatically have a blink ready after the fatigue, but in this case you need to wait 1 more second before you get that first blink to recharge for use. So, it's kind of almost like Pre-Nerf Nurse's base-kit except you don't have 2 blinks after the fatigue and the first blink takes another second after the fatigue.

So, utilizing add-ons that reduce your charge rate like Dark Cincture and Fragile Wheeze will definitely help with this quirk.

    nurse's add-ons

Another thing to note is that a lot of The Nurse's add-ons can still be utilized in many different ways and interesting combos. Add-ons like Dark Cincture and Fragile Wheeze reduce each blinks charge rate by 1 second each. Other add-ons like Spasmodic Breath for unique builds that require a blink hit and than a regular hit to down a Survivor is niche, but the concept is ultimately up to you.

I won't go too in-depth in this part, since I have a video below that'll explain all this.

anyways, here's a video about everything you'll need to know

This video actually covers Post-Nerf Nurse and all the changes that were made to her add-ons AFTER the PTB. So, it doesn't talk about add-ons the previously reduced charge times a lot more and instead is the accurate up-to-date version of The Nurse at the moment.

It might miss some hotfixes and other such things, but it's still fairly up to date with the add-ons, power, etc.

my build suggestion for the nurse

Now, as said above i'm not a expert with The Nurse since I never bother to play her for my own reasons. She's the only Killer I don't play regularly, but with that being said, I've played pretty much all the other Killers multiple times and on a daily basis, so i'm going off of common sense to her power and just a basic understand of how her meta works and still works at this time.

Also, the build i'm going to suggest is a beginners build, so take that as you will.

[Here's what I suggest though]: Corrupt Intervention, BBQ & Chili, I'm All Ears, and Infectious Fright.

    • Corrupt Intervention - The Plagues Perk [In-game description] (3 Generators located farthest from you are blocked by The Entity for 80/100/120 seconds at the start of the Trial. Survivors cannot repair the Generators for the duration Corrupt Intervention is active.) [My thoughts] (It's a good perk to use as an alternative to Ruin, since some players don't like New Ruin and use Corrupt Intervention instead as a substitute. The reason I didn't pair Pop Goes the Weasel with this perk for this build is because The Nurse, on the right Killer, can play effectively without PGTW. If you can master Post-Nerf Nurse, than you'll have no issues with Gen times. Corrupt Intervention is supposed to help from the start, so don't take it as a for sure counter to Gen-Rushing.)
    • BBQ & Chili - The Cannibals Perk [In-game description] (After hooking a Survivor, all other Survivors' Auras are revealed to you for 4 seconds when they are farther than 40 metres from the Hook. Each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time, gain a 25% stack-able bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 50/75/100%. The bonus Bloodpoints are only awarded post-Trial.) [My thoughts] (Aura readings are great for a Killer like The Nurse than can traverse multiple Tiles to her next Survivor, it also helps with just finding who to chase next for another down. The BP gain is also a plus, so it's something to for sure use on The Nurse.)
    • I'm All Ears - The Ghosts Perk [In-game description] (Any Survivor performing a rushed action within 48 metres from your location will have their Aura revealed to you for 6 seconds. I'm All Ears can only be triggered once every 60/50/40 seconds.) [My thoughts] (This perk is really good for Killers like Spirit, Oni, Billy, and especially The Nurse. Giving The Nurse a Aura reading for 6 seconds on a Survivor in a chase is really good and it makes it pretty easy to blink to them for a fast hit/down. This perk really doesn't need any more explaining than that, it's just really good on Killers that can get to the Survivor at a loop with ease.)
    • Infectious Fright - The Plagues Perk [In-game description] (Any Survivors that are within the Killer's Terror Radius while another Survivor is put into the Dying State with a Basic Attack will yell and reveal their current location to the Killer for 4/5/6 seconds.) [My thoughts] (On a Killer that can down multiple Survivors, depending on your skill with them, should really use this perk to just locate any nearby Survivors for more potential damage and/or downs. Killers like The Oni, Billy, and Spirit really benefit from this perk and The Nurse is no exception to this fact. If you can down a Survivor fairly quickly with The Nurse, than you should use this perk to down anymore nearby Survivors that you're alerted to with this perk in your 4th perk slot.)

    conclusion

Despite not being a Pro-Nurse that you were looking for, and not really being a console player, this is the best I can give you in terms of a guide or just common knowledge to know when getting into Nurse.

Nurse is fairly complicated to learn for beginners and this is especially true on console. If you just adapt what you learn from that video above into how you move and play on console than it should click eventually. If you doubt that, than look up a Nurse guide for The Nurse, the ones I tried to find were all Pre-Nerf so... try going off of that and than apply the changes after.

Stay safe out there, see you in the fog.

Thanks; I just keep using her until I get frustrated enough and then swap to a more efficient killer for me. I only have ~104 hrs playing her, 1300 hrs playing killer/survivor. Eventually I'll get decent with her or I'll just do what almost everyone else has, just don't use her. Its a shame really.

I suppose, it depends how you look at it from an outside perspective.

She's a lot harder to master than she was before and she isn't really beginner friendly (but she never was in the first place). But, if you can master her than you can easily clean up a team despite the nerf.

So, if you want to put the effort in to learn her than it's in your best interest to use perks that can help with that, like the ones I suggested above. I wouldn't stress about it if you can't get a used to her change, she wasn't easy to learn before but now she's a lot harder to get used to.

Yes he can. You can also win in lottery. Witch Crossplay enabled (you can turn it off, but you wont find any lobbies on xbox), you will face tryhard players of doom. Even at rank 13 nearly everyone knows you have to go for a weird and u predictable movement. This is so easy to do and the most efficient way to counter her blinks.

So this means nowadays you will just get stomped. Yes, you can do a 4k and yes you can be good with her but you will always have a massive disadvantage in comparison to a pc player for obvious reasons.

Once u made a mistake in a chase or trying to defend 3 surv on their hooks, its pretty much over. Well its easier to face camp with leather face and just press M2 to shred them ehile they are trying to come to safe the hooked Survivor. I recommend sticking with this playstyle on console, as nurse is a joke with controller and fps drops 😋👍
