This has happened to me so many times. Its usually them finding a key in a random chest instead of bringing one in themselves.
With that being said, if anyone brings a key in a match with me they should expect to get tunneled

Imo keys are the biggest balance issue killers face.
Gen speeds/toolboxes are second to how bs keys are imo.

Not really. While keys are annoying, they don't show up all that often. I face a dozen toolboxes before I face a key. Would I like them changed? Yes. Do I want them changed before maps, then toolboxes? Heck no.
Though I've had survivors three gen themselves, only to find a key in a chest and make it out. Honestly, that really does tick me off.

That's exactly what happened to me. If i see keys I usually dodge or run Franklin's. I hooked a survivor over the hatch, went to check on the gens, and boom, gone. They had to the nerve to "gg". Funny how that never happens when I win as killer. They must have found a key in a chest and been on comms. Very frustrating.

One only works on the last, who's either gone or out the hatch. So doesnt matter.
Other two require hooks beforehand so that assumes you let anyone off the hook.

If they bring a Key they get a Mori imo, and anyone who picks that key up off the ground
You have no requirements to use the Key other than finding an easy to find hatch that spawns in the same few locations every time on each map.
You actually have to find, down, hook, find, and down a survivor to use a mori.

The hatch does not appear at 5 generators; you need to complete some to be able to see the hatch.
Majority of maps are killer-sided.

Keys show up in like 70% of the lobby’s I join lol I dodge so many people because of keys so don’t tell me they don’t show up a lot bc they do...I do play on console tho so that might be why
