Fun Ideas for New Game Modes?
Only been playing for a few months, but one of the things I'd love to see is new game modes of varying levels of seriousness. It's one of the things I miss about free-range, moddable PC games.
So let's propose some hypothetical Serious and SRS! game modes. I'll start.
Serious: 2 Killers, 6 Survivors, 9 Gens.
What it says on the tin. Just a bigger game, with more people. KInda just trying to make it as chaotic and overwhelming for everyone as possible. Could be fun, could be garbage. Who knows?
Super Duper SRS: Kill the Killer
Killer has a gate key. They have no red stain or TR, but the Survivors now do.
Survivors can hurt the killer (maybe like, 0.33 health states per hit?). Survivors have to kill the killer and perform a banishing ritual to get their key, only then can they escape.
Drop your own ideas, let's have fun with it.

I would like a first person game mode for survivors. Where the same objectives need to be done. But it would be way more scary because the killer is taller then you. And would look way more scary from a first person perspective. It also would not be that hard to implement. The devs could just give survivors the legion vaulting animations. And allow them to see their arms and legs while running and doing things to add to the immersion. What do you think?

I like the dual killer idea. Not sure about the gen and survivor count to make it fun for all parties though. It would be cool even if it were just a Kill your friends mode.
Also in Kill your friends it'd be cool to manipulate game mechanics. For instance: gen speed, foot speed, hooks till death, DK mode lol etc.

I actually really like the idea of a fp camera for survivors. That would actually be alot more tense.
The 3pv camera is already pretty tense, just keeping an eye out when you're being stalked. Not having that range would give me the butthole clenches.
I'd imagine you'd have to have some way to balance it slightly so the survs aren't just outright crippled. Maybe like a 30% wider pov? Something to ramp the claustrophobia, but still allow that slight information edge over the killer.

I actually quite like the idea of a perkless match. I wonder how it would play out? Especially for low mobility killers that really need tracking perks on big maps.
Maybe a vanilla mode could take place in a special mapset? Like, a labyrinth arena set. Call it Minotaur Mode, lol.

I kinda felt like just a 2v4 could easily slip into a steamroll and not be as fun for survivors. But more bodies to kill would spread the pressure as it were.
Plus, maybe killers wanna have friends too, man.

Key Hunt;
New Map; Mansion (Indoor Map)(Not official name)
Survivors Objective; To find 5 key's to open the exit doors on either side of the main floor. The key's are hidden in boxes much like chests, and there are 9 on the map. Boxes without key's will simply give the player an item instead.
Map; The Map is decorated as a clean old fashioned mansion home for one half, but the other half of the rooms are destroyed, and decaying from years of being abandoned. The mansion features secret paths to other rooms, and objects that may trigger if you get too close - alerting the killer (like you enter the piano room and the piano starts playing)(Walk by a chair and it falls down, when you look away and back again the chair is standing again).
I think this would be hella cool, really Resident Evil esc trying to find keys to open the escape - add some puzzles to use the secret passages, and that Darkness Within vibe.

Those are some awesome ideas. I know I'd love to see a couple implemented.
Funny enough, I think my favorite part of all your ideas is the mini event thing.
Maybe instead of every other weekend, there could be a mid season event, maybe even a double BP weekend or week, where the new game mode launches alongside that seasons hot fix or something.
That way it could be a fun event players can plan for, without running into choice paralysis too quickly.

Armello features rotating modes! Every Friday you have basically shorter rounds for quicker thinking and on Wednesday you have random rule changes. Both modes go alongside a "normal" multiplayer queue. I feel like this system could be a cool addition :)

2 killers=8 survivors

Vanilla would be fun

That's what I thought, but I don't know if itd scale linearly like that.
I feel like the main draw would be the extra team aspect. So it would be 99% swf anyway, lol.
Plus imagine being 1 of 6 against, like, double nurses or Oni. Sure it'd be really hard to win, but it'd probably actually be scary again. XD

it would only be unfair.

I prefer 2v8. Since we double the killers we double everything, even map size.
I was thinking of an April fool's gamemode. Like the map is bright with rainbows the gens replaced with a TV that they need to fix to play a happy song and a video with people dressed as bunnies hopping around. Meathooks are replaced with a dance floor ect.
It would be so fun xd

I also like it, maybe even limit survivor looking to one pov when performing unhooks, gens, etc.?

Any new mode would be appreciated but without a doubt, 2 killers vs 8 Survivor or just anything with 2 killers.

Randomizer mode where the killers ability/addon changes with every hook, and the Survivors perks/item changes on every generator completed.
