Should survivors be able to escape this often?
While players often talk about how killers aren't entitled to a 4k, should an individual survivor be able to escape this reliably?
There are several more examples... Is this intended to be this easy? Should a survivor be able to go into a match and expect to escape?
Just a thought.

Yeah absolutely none of these would be possible in solo queue. No, there's no problem with this at all. If you use every single thing at your disposal to escape every game, its just as easy if you use every single thing at your disposal to get 100 4ks in a row.

That's kind of a false logic. Most of them, aside from no0b, aren't really better than any other survivor. Ayrun is known for abusing things like Hook Techs etc.
A lot of the reason they escape so much (no0b included) is because people know who they are, and they get stream sniped etc by their fans, who boost them and help them escape. Though, you'll find those bits are edited out of the videos for obvious reasons.

You are dealing with some top players here so I'd say yes they will be above the normal rate.

Exactly.
As an example you could use Map wide Terror Radius Doctor to try and attempt to 4k 100 games in a row.
Or Mother-Daughter ring/ old Prayer Beads Spirit.
Another thing to mention is that these videos that @SpaceCoconut has provided are quite old and various techs demonstrated in these videos are outdated.

I haven't seen Tru3 or Otz do that...
But Marth...when he does it, it's a bit different. He starts and rank 20 and goes to rank 1. So it's kind of artificially augmented statistically.

If the survivor is skilled enough to survive then sure. Why not? Players have had streaks on 4K’s with killer. No difference.

Besides, it's pretty darn easy to escape if you're in a SWF and everyone else is willing to sacrifice themselves for you. Not really that realistic of a scenario for the everyday player, is it?

Because they aren't as prevalent as survivor escape videos. A search showed 2 results.
The Oni video was made before the removal of his flick.
If a killer can 4k that often they get nerfed. Nurse, Spirit are recent examples.
Regardless of skill level, should a survivor go into a match expecting to escape?

Maybe people who play this game for a living are, indeed, better than the average player in a game that very few people take seriously enough to be good at.

The whole "this is okay because this happened" argument isn't going to help prove any points v.v
The bottom line is, survivor is easier than killer. It's more plausible to escape, more, in a row, as survivor than it is to 4k as killer.

Not being as many doesn't say anything as technically you are versing survivor v killer mains which of course there will be 4 x as many survivors. Also most streamers play survivor as itd easier to engage with thr community so again of course their will be more videos.
The one flick isn't quite the same but it's better than it was now as they buffed it again.
Yes a survivor should go in expecting to escape if they are one of the top players as for balance their should only be 2 kills in theory. What is wrong with expecting to be better than the other survivors they are matched with?
I pose you the seem question should a killer expect to get a 3 or 4k every game?

The question is "should it be possible for survivors to escape this often". It's a perfectly valid counterpoint to point ou that yes, those survivors are dramatically better than the general playerbase, just like killers who are dramatically better than the average player can have stupid long 4k streaks with varying killers (especially considering that by design a 4k is probably harder to achieve than an escape). So if you're discussing one side it's reasonable to say that the same happens on the other side, and I'm personally OK with that when talking about such good players and it'd be hypocritical of me to suddenly have a problem with it when survivors do it.
No one is saying survivor isn't easier than killer because in no point of this entire conversation this got brought up.

Because playing killer is not the same as playing survivor.
That was my entire point. Survivor is easier to play, and easier to master, than killer.

No because the devs have designed the game so a 4k is an exceptional result. Survivors have more tools at their disposal in addition to teamwork to prevent a 4k.
But this post is about individual survival rates. Not killer 4k capability.

But that doesn't apply to this discussion. At all.
The question is "is okay for people to escape this often". It's perfectly reasonable to bring 4k streaks into the conversation, because you can't be okay with one without being okay with the other without being a hypocrite, period.
Which role is easier to play has no relevance in this discussion.

Give me 6000 people watching me, stream sniping me, bringing me items, dying for me and boosting me out the door, and I'll do it no problem. In solo queue? No chance.

These are people who play this game as a job. Furthermore, they had a lot of help. This is by no means a benchmark to measure survivors by.

I promise you nobody is doing massive escape streaks on their own in solo queue. The only reason these are even possible is because people aid them specifically, going as far as to die for them or disconnecting to give them the hatch.

The problem, is that the game is by design balanced so a killer SHOULDN'T get a 4k each time. The devs have stated that the intended balance is 2 kill 2 escape.
4K capability shouldn't be part of the discussion because the intended design of the game is to PREVENT a killer player from achieving a 4k on a regular basis.
If they do, it's a rare achievement.
Nothing has been said about individual survival rates though. This is where the core of my question lies.

To only talk about one and ignore the other is an extremely biased viewpoint.
Of course a 4k should be exceptional as it should only be an average of 2k. The fact some can get 3 or 4 almost every game shows they are intfact exceptional killer players.
The same can be said with exceptional survivor players.
The person may have escaped that many times in a row but how many games did 2,3 or 4 escape?
What you don't see is how good the killer player was and with everyone being in a mixed bag there is of course a huge gap between capabilities and why these exceptional players shouldn't be used to try and say what you are.

Its so ridiculous to use these videos and claim when side is op when there is plenty of videos of the other side having massive win streaks.
Watch any of the streamers play and shock, they actually win most games as killer on any given day. Meanwhile watch noob3 on stream and his escape rate isnt THAT good.

You could say the exact same thing about killers. There are many streamers that have videos of 4k streaks while running meme builds. I'm sure there are many more who have not streamed that, but achieved it as well. Does that mean killers are OP? No. It is people who play way more than the average person. It is not a barometer to measure balance by.

The reason they're being used is because they shared their evidence. I can't share evidence that doesn't exist.
We only need to talk about one side because the devs have clearly stated the design focus for killer lethality... even for exceptional killers. This can lead into nerf discussions which we should ignore for now.
They haven't done so for individual survivors. This is where my question lies. I'm trying to state this as clearly as I can since so many people seem to have a hard time understanding the idea.
The other survivors in this single match are only important for the killer metric of 2k 2e, which isn't the subject.
Their individual survival rates are the question. How often have survivors 1, 2, 3, and 4 escaped their matches? Is this their first? Or their 80th?
The skill of the killer and the mixed bag of player skill isn't a factor in this question, but is in itself an indictment of the current state of matchmaking.

Would you rather I say that the majority of survivors can escape multiple times in a row, on a much more regular basis than a killer can 4k in a row without any sort of evidence at all?

@SpaceCoconut Look at the videos though. Noob3, noob3, Ayrun....these peoples whole personality is being cocky and boasting. They’re going to make videos like that. Its the toxic survivor theme, escape tbag and boast.
For the most part killers aren’t like that as much. The killer main streamers dont have the same kind of cocky personalities as noob3 and Ayrun or those types.
Survivors obviously see escaping as more special than killers see the 4k. Tru3 often boasts about 4 man 5 gens when he gets it but never does videos of streams or stuff.
Why do survivors put more importance to escape streaks than killers do 4k streaks? Maybe because its harder?
I play both sides and I 4k more games than not. Meanwhile playing solo survivor my escape rate is extremely small.
Plus comparing an escape to a 4k isnt really comparable. Not with hatch, and its worth pointing out noob3 had both of his streak videos before the hatch could be closed.
A better comparison would be survivors bragging about 4 man escapes in a row. Thats the equivalent of a 4k. Where are all those videos? Does it really mean survivors are op if 1 escapes 50 games in a row but in most of those games 3 others died? Thats still a win for the killer.
