The amount of slugging i am seeing for 4k's is unreal. Gonna take unbreakable now.
Games are starting to be less fun now.

Then just use it.
Killers have to try hard to get 4ks now, so they slug. Get Unbreakable, Tentacity, Flip Flop, No Mither, whatever you like, these are all fair perks.

It's been a slug for the 4k affair ever since the EGC was brought online. There isn't much else one can do, unless they want to play Hatch Scramble. And some killers need that 4K for the pip, not that pips matter much anymore. Unbreakable is a beauty though, and has been popping off in almost every one of my matches, no matter which side of the killing I am on.

As killer, one unbreakable, which i had never seen before, turned a 4k into a 0k in about 15 seconds. Was i furious. Yeah. Now i just laugh about it.

Pretty much the only personal killer rule I adhere to. I despise slugging for a 4k unless I have eyes on the 4th. Ridiculously boring and draws games out to the nth degree. I guess I should clarify though, I'll slug like crazy if I have to apply pressure. I just mean I typically won't slug to prevent hatch.

Get over it, they told killers to adapt so they choose to slug since it's the best way to apply pressure and can get 4K. Not to mention survivors can use unbreakable and flip flop if necessary.

Some killers have no choice. When 3 gens pop after you chase someone for 35 seconds, the pressure becomes immense. Killers like Wraith, Hag and Clown have to slug.

Unbreakable is one time perk. I recommend using it when everyone else get hooked and you are the last one.

Killers are doing what they can to complete their objective. Its a valid playstyle.
Its almost like there are multiple perks you could take to counter this playstyle that aren't the 5-6 meta perks some survivors have come to rely on.

As a, former, purple ranked killer we are not meant to get 4k every stinking game. I am seeing far more 4k's on both sides than i am seeing 0k's to balance it out and you can forget about the actually goal of 2k. They are rare indeed. I see far more 1k's than i see 2k

Slugging isn't a confirmed 4k.
And through out all of my matches, the slugging matches usually produce a 2,3, or 4k, while not slugging rarely produces any kills

People did that before, too. To avoid the hatch standoff. Dont they and blame the EGC for doing its job of preventing 45 mins of staring. Lol.

That's what you get thanks to potato survivors complaining about ruin and getting it nerfed into the ground.

It's almost as if Killers are running out of successful strategies thanks to a constant stream of nerfs

Wasn't it obvious that killers would start slugging more becouse of ruin nerf? I've been running unbreakable ever since. It's very underrated perk.

Bad survivors crying for nerfs with non bad survivors supporting them made this bed.
Now EVERYONE has to sleep in it.
I play balance and is it agonizingly boring on both sides to have to slug as killer or getting slugged by them simply because killers really don't have a choice anymore.

I'll slug for the 4k if, like an above poster mentioned, I know or have good reason to suspect that the 4th guy is nearby, but generally I'll just hook the dude because because it isn't really much fun otherwise. I'd rather just let the hatch portion of the game play out and end (its in my favour any way), and hurry on to the next game than play walking simulator trying to find the last guy.
Funny story, I was playing survivor once as one of two last survivors and the dude slugged the 3rd survivor for the 4k. It took him 3-5 minutes to find me (I rescued the 3rd guy a few times). In the post game chat he was angry at me and said "Why didn't you just do a gen". Made me laugh.
But if I am killer and someone uses unbreakable, denying me the 4k, I'm just like well played my dude.

Make it so killers don't need to slug for the 4k then. They don't slug because they want to, they slug because the game is unbalanced and they're forced to.

It's literally a build that just has all of the Second Chance perks, so no matter how bad you play you have the highest chance to survive, and if you don't - well then you're gonna have to practice more and "git gud".
