Pig Power: Making Her More SAW-Like

As the Pig I always thought her entire power was good but never really thematically made too much sense to me.  And that chapter was a chance to really go wild.

I woulda liked to see this:

Each match will instead be divided up into "Phases" in which there are three.

PHASE ONE

- Phase 1 is when the Generators are being worked on.  All survivors begin with Reverse Bear Traps on their head and they cannot be removed in this phase.

- Every bear trap has a timer of 6 minutes and 30 seconds on it and is marked with a color on the side with paint.  Upon timer expiration, the wearer dies.

- Instead of the Jigsaw Boxes being used to remove the bear traps, they are used instead to extend the timer of the Bear Trap.

- An RNG element is here but I think more fun due to the urgency.  Each box will grant a certain amount of extension to the player.  There are six total in a match.  Same time to search, same penalties for missed checks.  One box contains a 10 second extension of the timer (Useless).  One box contains a 30 second extension (Negligible).  One box contains a 1 minute extension (Noticeable).  One box contains a 2 minute extension (Helpful).  One box contains 3 minute extension (Great).  One box contains a full 6 minute and 30 second extension (Exceptional).  These are scrambled when you find an extension that's 2 minutes or greater.

- After using a Jigsaw box, using it again will give you the chance to double your reward or double your loss (Instead of gaining the amount you got, you reduce it and then some.  Using it again after gaining it to full will overlap the timer and extend it to 12 minutes total.  This is the only time you are allowed to overlap the timer).

- When gaining any reward from a Jigsaw box, all Jigsaw boxes for you are closed off (With the exception of using it to gain double or lose double) for 1 minute and 30 seconds.  This means that anything lesser than 2 minutes is a net loss to varying degrees.

- Some Generators will have a color code on it; two colors on the top marked in Blue, Red, Green, or Orange paint.  These will correlate to helmets, which will be Blue, Red, Green, or Orange.  When completing a generator, one of those with the correlating color will gain 1 minute on their helmet, and the other will lose 30 seconds on their own helmet.  Survivors will not know which will gain or which will lose.

- Upon the completion of all generators, Phase 2 is initiated.

PHASE TWO:

- When Phase 2 begins, the Exit gates will be powered but locked by a chain and padlock.  Around the map there are locked chests (separate from normal survivor chests) that remain locked until Phase 2 begins.  After which they are searchable.

- All survivors will need to search these chests before they can escape.  Two keys are in four chests that must be found and searched before they can open it.

- Once one or both exit gates are powered, Phase 3 begins.

PHASE THREE:

- When Phase 3 is initiated, the survivors must return to the Jigsaw Boxes and remove the helmets from their head.  The hatch is the only other option, which opens for all survivors unless the Pig closes it.

- The End-Game Collapse will not initiate until at least one survivor removes their helmet.  It will not initiate upon the Hatch closing unlike normal.

- Each Survivor can escape whenever they wish, as long as their helmet is removed first.  With the exception of the Hatch.  The Killer must be mindful to find and close the hatch before all the survivors reach it, as if they all know where it is they can group by it and escape.  Closing it will not keep them from escaping, but will require them to go through the regular entrance, thus giving you more time to find them before they can remove their helmet.

Naturally the Pig's addons and such will be adjusted as needed.

----

I think these are really RP intensive changes and idk how viable they are.  But I had the idea and wanted to get it off my chest, and I thought a killer that entirely shifts the game on its head would be a really fun and crazy addition to the game; a risk that may pay off for both killer and survivor.

Nice ideas, that can be a start point.

I feel like if a survivor searches a box while his trap is inactive, it should activate it. So, search a box before a generator gets completed, it activates and forces you to continue your search.. search a box during endgame if the trap got placed on your head after all generators are done? Your own fault, deal with it.

(copy&paste from the other Pig thread, since I feel like this one here would be a good idea to put the idea)

I feel like this should be an entirely separate game mode, which could lead into unique game modes specific to each killer!

I'd imagine the Phase 1 idea as an Ultra Rare more than anything.

-Each Survivor begins the trial wearing an active Reverse Bear Trap.

-Searching a Jigsaw Box increases the death timer by a random amount.

-Survivors can't remove Reverse Bear Traps.

-Tremendously increases the death timer on the Reverse Bear Trap.

-Survivors can leave through an Exit Gate with active Reverse Bear Traps.

I dunno if it's an idea I'd wanna see, but there you go.

It would indeed make a good add-on, rather than making it base kit. Bit like how some survivors start asleep against Freddy and things like that.

Heck.. making everyone start with a trap would be a bit too powerful, but what if we add these fine lines (that I stole from Freddy's Black Box)

    • The Pig becomes obsessed with one survivor
    • The Obsession starts the Trial with a Reverse Bear Trap and cannot remove it
    • So on and so forth

TBH, I think an add-on that simply made the Obsession start with an RBT is enough to make it an add-on I would use.

One thing I'd really like them to implement is...

    • Survivors may attempt to free themselves from Reverse Bear Traps by searching Jigsaw Boxes located throughout the Trial Grounds to find the correct key.
    • Once a survivor successfully removed their trap, Amanda can recover it from the Jigsaw Box.

Oh yeah me too. Start inactive, of course. And still carry 4 traps at the start, so that would be a possibility of 5.

what an extremely interesting idea! sounds like a lot of fun, and a heart-racing experience.

The one issue would be if there was any way of holding the game hostage, then every survivor would be guaranteed to die

I figure there's more BHVR can do with permanent bear traps than without.

Even the current addons could work, as perhaps when Amanda downs someone she tweaks something on their helmet, giving it the effects like Face Mask, Slow Release Toxin, or Rusty Attachments and such. It requires and alteration in animation but otherwise it's the same concept; down someone, RBM2 to tweak the helm, puts them into the status effect until they search one jigsaw box.

Last Will would have to be reimagined though.

Definitely. It is probably the easiest add-on to make:

-You begin the trial Obsessed with one Survivor.

-The Obsession begins the trial wearing an inactive Reverse Bear Trap.

Nothing more, nothing less. Boom, easy Very Rare add-on.

Yes. After all, other killers have similar add-ons, so why not Amanda?
