Ruin change had little change to skilled killers.

Stopped using it pre-change, won and lost then and I still win and lose now.

    55/45 Survivor to killer

    Never really used ruin

80/20 killer/survivor. I enjoy both equally, so if queue times were better it'd be closer to 50/50

This simply isn't true. A lot of the top tier killers have been vocal about the ruin changes. It also depends on the killer and build you play with.

I personally have barely used old ruin but I can still recognize its importance to others especially people who play some of the weaker killers.

You can't call people who used old ruin unskilled based on your own anecdotal experiences.

I am having a lot of fun playing killer lately, not as much fun for survivors bc some of my team mates are just total idiots and potatoes.

    I'm leaning towards killers.

    70/30

  • I've been playing Survivor more, lately. I usually play Killer if the matchmaking process takes too long. For me, it would be about 75/25. That may change pretty soon as I want to start getting better at matches as Killers I typically wouldn't use and learning their play styles.

It's about 50/50 for me. I play survivor whenever my friend wants to play but I never solo queue at all. If I want to play by myself, then it's killer all the way.

I actually find killer to be a little less stressful and enjoy playing that role more. Yeah there are games where I do get some survivors who are toxic but at least with killer I only rely on myself and not three other people to get the objective done. I also haven't had to rely on Ruin at all and I'm still able to apply map pressure.

Plus, playing on PS4 I don't have a long wait time for killer like I do with survivor.

I play killer, but it's only because I can't get a lobby as survivor. What gives?

60/40 Killer / Survivor here. Killer feels more rewarding but survivor is way less intense and way less stressful for me. Before the ruin change is was about the same but killer was more forgiving and chill.

I play survivor if the friend I usually play with wants to play, and usually killer otherwise. If I had to put percentages on it I'd imagine it ends up something like 60/40 survivor/killer in the end.

Been like that for me since I started playing the game, and still is.

I play 95% killer. Only play Survivor in a SWF group with my kids about once a month for a couple hours. One reason I play Killer when I solo is because the queue times are so long for me on PS4 as survivor. Also because when you get a good match Killer is so fun, it is 30/70 if I get a good match or not though.

    80/20, killer to survivor.

Survivor, at least for me, is boring. Stare at a generator, run around like an idiot, rescue a dude, go back to staring at a gen. I have to think more as a killer, put pressure on myself to do well, and always be ready for whatever survivors have to throw at me. This is more exciting to me (and sometimes stressful).

Top skilled killers? Which ones? The ones on reddit with 100 hours on DBD complaining about the devs hating them?

    About 50/50.

Not really hard to understand my comment above but the gist of it was:

Good/skilled players used old ruin as well.

50/50 same rank 1 on both sides Xbox Trapper and GF main

I was killer main for seven devotions. Never really touched survivor.

Now I play survivor 70% of the time. I just enjoy the team work concept and more chill games.

Although I have been doing a level 1 killer challenge . Seeing how high I can climb in rank with out spending a single blood point on killer. So far a 15!

I enjoy both equally, but play killer if my friends aren't on because it's easier. I actually am higher rank as killer, so something like 60/40 killer survivor is what I would expect it to be.

If it weren't for the Tomes, I'd probably be about 80/20 leaning toward Killer. But the tomes bend that as they're predominantly Survivor challenges.

If I am playing and friends hop on, i'll play with them.

Otherwise when I am alone I play killer.

Gave a decent balance at the start, but now I think it's about 70/30 leaning toward survivor, simply because I can't find a reason to hope on this game unless a friend is on anymore.

Killer isn't fun, nor is their incentive to play them and try. Same goes for solo survivor, it's a pain in the rear for no good reason and no reward for it. Thus, I end up asking a friend if they want to play, whether or not it's duo, triples or a 4 stack.

I want at least one person I can rely on, and the random people I get lobbied with, are never those people.

I really used to enjoy killer, but unless I am playing Billy, the rest of the killer's are not fun to play. And I really don't want to re-learn/train/practice Nurse for a third time.

The game itself, just isn't fun anymore unless I get some friends to mess around with.

50/50 but I spend less time on this game.

Because I don't want to waste my time with lobby and I want to play both side equally.

I only play Killer. I find it more fun.

I checked my stats again out of curiosity. ~55.6% killer to ~44.4% survivor.

To answer the second part, it turns out I've actually played way more killer lately. I used to be around 53%.

I play both, maybe 70/30 survivor to killer. I usually switch over to killer when I'm tired of just doing Gens.
