Okay they really need to nerf keys!
I've brought this up before, but I want to see if others agree. Why do survivors leave via hatch when there is still a survivor left it's not fair to leave the other survivor behind. Especially if the killer is right there ready to close it. Just why? Why be so cruel to do that?

Leaving behind your team is part of the risk involved with keys.

My green keys! Don't nerf them please!

Risk for who? Teammates that didnt dodge the lobby when they saw a key?

Keys are quite bad right now, but so are moris. We should nerf them both.

Lol, I had a game where two survivors stood by the hatch waiting for me while their teammate was going into struggle mode. They could have easily saved them, especially since I didn't even know where the hatch was. Instead, they waited for me to find them by the hatch before abandoning their teammate.
Keys just encourage that type of behavior. It's dumb, but you can't really nerf players not working together.
I agree it needs some type of re-work, though. I'm just not sure what. Maybe add on an animation so that it's not just an instant escape. I don't know. But, again, that won't solve the problem of survivors abandoning their team.

Risk for the survivor team. Apparently survivors must always be responsible for eachother lol.

OP wants his teammates/enemies to not be dicks, he is not asking how to be a dick himself.

nerf them so you have to actually do something difficult during a game to earn their use. Mori and Keys should be used when you're completely dominating in a game rather Plan Bs for bad killers and survivors.

I have a few ideas to make them more team-centric.
1. A beam of light add-on like the map, this would be unbalanced however as the whole team could easily get away without the killer even having a chance to counter even by accident.
2. A sound event for survivors followed by a very short period of aura vision of the key-holder. Another option would be to make the previously stated beam of light temporary or make any of these effects available to the killer's awareness as well.
3. The survivor with the key gets bloodpoints for others that escape through the hatch. Since they leave the game after going through hatch, maybe it takes time to open the hatch now and said survivor doesn't jump in until they're ready, it just consumes the key and opens the hatch?
Personally, I think this event would bring about a new pressure-building situation where the killer and survivors now all know generally where the hatch is, someone has a key and the odds of escape are higher temporarily. Does the person choose to stay for teammates that are now alerted or do they have to leave them behind when escape is so close for everyone?

And the only reason you don't see them all the time now is because they were all used up in every single match for months on end a while back.

Yes both
