Using the same button for more than one action
This is a pain in the butt for me.
Just now I was being chased by a killer...went to vault a window...pushed R1 for a quick vault...and picked up a discarded medi-kit that been left in front of the vault.
And of course we've all had the situation when we've gone to self-heal or heal another survivor...pushed the button...and pulled down a pallet...alerting the killer and ending up being found.
This really gets up my nose.

You dont really have much other oprions on console...
But on PC it should be fully customised, Im not sure, but I think it already is.

Yes but that doesn't help situations like the vault/object dilemma I mentioned. Especially when you're in a chase.

Ive run into this alot... The amount of times I'll go to pick someone up, only to vault a window... Its kinda a catch 22 since I've sorta been trained to beware of possible flashlight saves while picking up, so if I turn AWAY from a window when I pick up, I'm leaving myself open to a flashlight.

Ive dropped a pallet accidentaly when i was almost done healing myself and there was skill check coming. The healing completed just before hitting the skill check and i just dropped the pallet because of it.

But it shouldn't be a thing. The pick-up object button should be simply reassigned, thus eliminating the issue.

Whatever button is free and a visable option the PS4 pad.

Maybe to the same button to put objects down. I dont know about console, but for PC the button to drop an object isnt shared with anything else. I dont foresee a problem that could arise if when I pushed that button...it swapped out the object in my hand for whatever object im currently over if I have one in my hand.

Jumping in a locker next to the window is a problem also

The best way would be to just give an option to reassign controls on consoles too. Its nothing bad, ot just requires devs to put some effort.

I feel like a problem is alot of actions are currently lumped together. Reassigning your "action" button to R2 instead of R1 isnt gonna help you. They need to split up the "action" button into separate things.

There's a new accessory for ps4 controllers you can attach that adds two more triggers to the back of the controller. Would be cool if we could assign different actions to those

There are plenty of buttons even on console that aren't used, the use option should be changed into self-care drop pallets, vault, pick up etc that way you can actually separate them out to different buttons

on pc this is also a pain. locker prompts that are near windows are so incredibly frusterating
