Name 5 perks (survivor and killer) that are too pointless to use.

There are a lot of perks that need reworks for various reasons.

But this thread is about the perks that are just...just so useless, so pointless, they are just never ever worth using.

Personally (and logically) I feel there are more of these on the survivor side, ill start with my list:

Killer:

Mindbreaker - Territorial Imperative - Hangman's Trick...thats honestly it for me, the rest I feel all has SOME use.

Survivor:

Buckle Up - Boil Over - Sole Survivor - Camaradarie (only because other survivors have to know you have it in order to make use of it, which they dont)

I would also like to add that more perks would have been added, but some still make SOME sense if used in a combo, like Up the Ante and Slippery Meat, but both of these are reaaaaally bad on their own.

survivor - slippery meat, deja vu, boil over, buckle up, technician, saboteur, camaraderie, sole survivor, windows of opportunity, breakout, up the ante, and the list could go on..

    Mindbreaker: recommended on stealth killers.

Unrelenting: honestly underrated, but still meh at the same time.

Change "recommended" to "only possible sometimes somewhat usable on" and I agree.

And yes Unrelenting can work out decently, survivors who try to dodge attacks have a timing in their heads, if you suddenly go faster they tend to not be read, hence I did not put unrelenting in there.

Sorry but I’ve gotta say Mind breaker can be really good on stealth killers and highly mobile ones.

Most useless perks in my opinion would be:

    -déjà vu

    -territorial imperative

    -sole survivor

    -lightborn

    -no one left behind

personally i would say there are a lot more useless survivor perks than killer ones.

i completely forgot about lightborn lol it's not very good but it can be somewhat useful if there's 4 flashlights

I don't think there are any useless perks, just many that could use a little buff.

    Survivor

    1) Buckle Up - I think if the perk had some bonus speed to healing downed survivors, it could be used somewhat

    2) Dance With Me - if it had 5 seconds duration, I think it would be better.

    3) Distortion - 5 Tokens?

    4) Mettle of Man - I've not activated it once since it was reworked to Protection Hits

    5) Self Care - it was tied with Slippery Meat for 5th spot on the list, but wasting 32 seconds on healing Yourself and not doing anything useful is damaging whole team, I think.

    Killer

    1) I'm All Ears - I'm All For removing cooldown from it, so it's Killer's version of Alert

    2) Predator - if it had longer scratch mark duration similar to Bloodhound's longer blood stain duration, it could be useful

    3) Shadowborn - M&A is superior, would need new effect added to be useful

Couldn't see any other 'useless' Killer perks.

I dont agree with territorial, its actually not bad on Bubba because if you get caught in basement against bubba its gg for you, situational but still. Id take out territorial and put Zenshin Tactics here.

Shadowborn may be not a good perk on all killers but it's definitely not the worst.

A lot of killer perks are situational, like Shadowborn vs. MnA, ironically I find Shadowborn better on Doc, since I get my big tr for static blasting, and MnA on Wraith, since his tr doesn't matter. The only ones which are usually non useful are Huntress perks, since Lullaby disappears quickly, BoP really only gives you BP, since the undetectable doesn't amount to much at Bloodlust, and territorial imperative only helps a basement build, either bubba or a basement guardian. Special mention goes to Demo's perks, since they sound okay on paper, but in practice they're basically huge gambles, though Surge can do well if you can get a good 3 gen going.

Someone said windows of opportunity above as a useless perk. I have 3k hours in game, red ranks (not that this matters really) and quite a bit of dbd knowledge. Windows can be super useful for people learning the game or even people trying to learn newer maps. I think windows is super underrated.

    Killer -

unrelenting, (75% of the game you wouldn’t use its 🤮🤮🤮)

insidious, (NEVER use this perk as a killer its trash)

    light born, (100% filth)

brutal strength, (honestly just used for the extra gen kicking speed)

monstrous shrine. (Unless ur playing a basement game)

    survivor -

buckle up (killers mostly pick up a downed survivor immediately so you will get very little usage),

slippery meat (since it only works on trapper its trash),

left behind (only works in a radius and is a waste of a perk slot)

sole survivor (you never know if your the first some killed maybe handy for “f my teammates” stealth)

This is not happening - (jesus christ just bring resilience)

Camaraderie seems kinda useful ngl it pauses the hook progression which in some cases means surviving or death

I don’t like it because for it to work the killer has to be near you and survs have to know you have it

small is good against trapper, hag and freddy(fake pallets). aaand if you just wanna destroy totems and are on a map where they're harder to find, small game helps. it's obviously not a great perk, but not useless either.

As a newer player, deja vu has actually been super helpful at finding generators; especially when there's only a few remaining, spread out across the map. It might not be great for red ranks, but it's saved me a lot of time searching a huge map for the last generator.

It says on the forum that “if another survivor is within 16 meters of your hook” i dont see anything that involves the killer

Seeing a lot of dislike for territorial, i'v always gotten mileage out of this perk (especially when combo'd with monstrous) when iv used it, heck iv had it reveal the last survivor alive cause they touched the steps when looking for the hatch. No ones explained as to why the perk is useless. It notify's you when someone enters the one place they shouldn't be. It's pretty decent since it feeds you information that no other perk grants, when someone is going for an unhook or going into the only literal dead end is pretty decent. Not the best, since it require distance from the basement, but decent. (If a perk didnt have a "Con" like almost every killer perk had then it would be somewhat broken.)

Speaking of monstrous, it could be improved slightly, it does wonders now and then but would actually be best implemented into the basement hooks itself and Monstrous Shrine getting a overhaul.

Zanshin Tactics is pretty much useless, it doesn't really change how you will behave, outside of Doctor which is interesting since you can deny thing's a lot faster until you hit someone.

Unrelenting got hit hard awhile back and is rare to see, its effect is barely noticeable and doesn't really provide anything else.

Beast Of Prey needs a rework of sorts, it got its cool-down reduced but its not something the killer can really use as they can't see there red stain so you see no effect from it. Plus the fact that the survivor can just move there camera freely defeats the property it grants the killer. If it was a first person camera then there would be some effect the survivor since they wouldn't be able to judge the distance. Plus the fact you need to reach Bloodlust 1 to get use out of it.

Hangman's is a rare pick in any game, since sabotaging hooks or traps is pretty much pointless as its not an objective and only works well if the groups a team or someones wasting the whole match to make sure it takes effect.

MindBreaker is utterly useless, survivor detection perks and the terror radius alone grant them the time they need to remove the exhaustion. Needs a buff or an overhaul.

Hex Third Seal is also pretty bad. If the notification appeared when auras were blocked instead of on hit. Its also a hex perk.

Wow 7 killer perks, i don't think theirs any real useless survivor perk's outside of Buckle up, because its buckle up. Iv never seen buckle up have an opportunity to be useful.
