How I would change decisive strike

I would make it to where it works after every unhook (except during the EGC but idk how hard it would be to make it like that) but still had only 60 seconds. however the perk would automatically deactivate when the survivor touches a gen, totem, hooked survivor or is fully healed.

I believe this would make it a true anti tunneling perk. it would still prevent killers from tunneling but would also prevent survivors from abusing it.

What do you guys think? please keep it civil down there

edit: I decided to change it from no timer to keeping the 60 because it would be still too annoying to play against.

    Genuine question

How many do you need ?

how would this give them more second chances? if you're tunneling you're literally asking to get DSed, you know at least one person in the match has it . if you choose to tunnel it's your fault for getting stunned , this change would however prevent them from making stupid plays with it like unhooking in your face only for you to grab them and get DSed.

60 seconds seems like enough to me.

You obviously do not understand what tunneling is.

Tunnelling is when you purposely go for the survivor. Not every case of the killer meeting a hooked survivor again is tunnelling.

Your idea allows the survivor to not touch a gen, go straight up to a killer and T-bag him multiple times. Take hits for other survivors etc

Or perhaps I purposely leave a survivor and I happen to find him again. We're supposed to perpetually turn the other way now?

Every unhooked survivor would purposely not do gen and go straight to the killer to make full use of their perk.

    This morning second match

Ight so here I am wondering a forest right and the killer comes outta nowhere I start running but he's right on top of me and stabs me through the back !

You might think I'm DEAD right here and no but no. I'm alive AND I'm running way faster then him for alittle bit. I wave in and out some trees and loose him. I tell my mate where I'm at and he patches me up.

So I do a Generator right trying to leave before this monster gets me and a few seconds after the lights come on BAM there he is again. So he stabs me though the chest right before I hit him with some wood I found next to a tree. You might think man empty cup is DEAD but no. I toss the wood right on the guy and then run way fast. His screaming at me I'm running and eventually because I'm too dumb to hide somewhere or try to loose him he's right behind me and STABS me right in the arse!

Man this is where I'm DEAD. But NO I use this magic power called dead hard and not only does this magic let the blade pass through me I'm also alittle bit faster then he. I jump out a window and it takes him another minute to catch up.

Then my mates jump in and try to distract him but he wont have it. I've right done taken the piss outta him. So he finally gets me and I'm not running anymore... he swept the legs. I'm a goner. He picks me up in his big meaty claws and moves too a hook to sacrifice me to the dark ones... but my freinds click a flashlight at him and he drops me... now not only am I not dying on the ground my legs work and I run away !

    He's running

    I'm running

Im bumping into things, I cant find anymore more strategically placed wood anywhere. So he does the stabbing and I fall down again. He lifts me onto a hook . I made the mistake of running right to one. I'm DEAD

But soon as his backs turned WHAT HO it's me mates again ! They lift me off and not only am I not dying but I'm up and running again. The monster stabs at me again DEAD but I still dont go do, my mate has magic that let's me not go down called borrowed time. But I keep bumping into trees and trying not to hide he's got me again dead to rights face to face as I jump back through the window i was just in for some reason but i use deadhard and I'm STILL NoT DEAd wowza. So after alittle walk around a stump for lil bit me and killer meet again. This time he got me spack DEAD grab but for some reason...

I get this super easy skillcheck so it hit it

And bam out of the killers grasp healed once again and he's stunned and I'm off and running.

Gates are open and I leave.

I got like 8 second chances and tbh I didnt play well at all but that's how every game I play goes more or less.

you bring up some really valid points , thank you for not insulting me. what if it kept its 60 seconds?

if it had the 60 seconds would the change be okay? i realize now that the infinite timer would still be abused

Yea I don't see how it could be abused now, but it would be nice if the timer perhaps slowed in chase, but it's fine without that feature. The important part is that it's no longer free invincibility.

Every suggestion is just about benefiting The Killer and improving their quality of life. None of them really address the core issue of tunneling. There are still cases where you can be tunneled beyond the 60 seconds and then what? And what about the second hook? If you want to narrow the scope of the perk, it would have to be effective in accomplishing the stated goal. Every suggestion is just a worst version of the current perk with too many additional prerequisites that are often beyond the control of the Survivor.

I see where you are coming from , I personally have never seen anyone with DS run a killer around for a whole minute. especially since they're already wounded .

but remember it would work after everyhook not just the one you hit the skill check on (which I'd consider a buff). DS is meant to be an anti tunneling perk according to the devs and I think this change would fix it.
