New "hooks"
Are the devs married to hooks? If it's possible, I think it'd be really cool if hooks could change according to new killers. i.e. if the next killer is a murderous chef, could the hooks be giant boiling cauldrons? instead of sabotaging, players could blow out the fire, instead of hooking them, the killer could throw them in, and survs could pull each other out or try to escape but slip back in if they dont get the 4%. or if samara from the ring is next, the hooks could be tvs that she traps them in. survs could pull each other out and try to escape but get pushed back in.
instead of the entity coming from above, it could come from unde the cauldron and try to drown them or from the TV's background to try to drag them further into the tv?
idk if it'd be too much lol I'm just think out loud

It used to be every killer had their unique hooks, so if you looked at a hook you would know instantly what killer you were facing. Now all hooks are standardized to the map you're on.
So uh...maybe? On a new map meant to represent the killer they might change the decoration, but unless they go back to the old way you wouldn't see it on every level.

Takes away dev time. They'd need new animations, deal with cauldron specific bugs, etc.
People already complain about skins sapping up time. Now we have boiling water too?
Same issue with why pallets are all the same.

Killers had unique hooks? When? What did they look like?

Imagine going on coal tower but instead of the trapper themed hooks you'd see the hook wrapped in bandages like in autohaven.
The hooks are still in the game, they're just tied to the map instead of the killer now.
