Personal prediction on upcoming survivor sided hard nerf
With alot of companies realising the potentional in pvp multiplayer horrors Resident Evil Nemesis, Doom Eternal, Predator Hunting Grounds. It'd be safe to assume BHVR have some concerns on the future and popularity of DBD.
Ruin nerf was hugely frowned upon and they obviously did it for a persific reason in order to get some "reasonable" game balancing in order to prevent a lot of players jumping ship once said titles are released within the next couple of months.
Maps are getting reworked, Perks are getting nerfs, gens will be next. How they do it i personally am eager to know what they'll come up with.
But i know and they surely know DBD will start to lose a good majority of the playerbase once these titles are released.
As an example how many threads have we had begging for Nemesis from RE as a playable killer?!?!
RE Nemesis is coming out with a PVP multiplayer horror built into the game.
Just sayin...

Doom Eternal. Horror. What kind of horror game is there where I can literally rip monster heads off with my bear hands. Is there a pvp mode where we're demons and got to hide from doomguy that I don't know about?
I doubt it. Everyone said the same about Last Year and while it had potential it, much like DBD, felt like it came out unfinished and with the killers feeling weak. It's better now-especially the fiend- Hide or Die will probably give DBD a run for its money though but DBD still does the CHASE better than both of these direct rival games.
If DBD wants to compete they should actually focus on that factor and put more stuff on their maps and attempt to make the games feel quicker. I suspect that the ruin change was an attempt to stramline the process of gen pressure. A lot of the perks lately don't involve gens and reward chasing.
Surge-a gen regression perk that rewards downing someone quickly in a chase- Cruel Iimits, Mind Breaker, all chase perks. Oni's Tactics give you a layout so you can predict chases and plan around them easier.
Nemesis literally empowers you for getting stunned which most likely will happen from a pallet.
Blood Echo makes everyone bleed out and can't activate certain ability that help in chases. Encouraging you to immediately seek out and chase rather gen patrol.
I suspect that the chase will be getting more focus. A recent leak indicates a new killer might have a "wallbreak" ability of some sort and if that is the case I think that seals it. They may be finally working on the enviroments or at least adding new abilities that do so to promote aggressive hunting than gen defense mentality. Hell, both the deamogorgan and oni have abilities that allow them mobility and to move faster.
So, if anything, we may be seeing killer buffs. In a way. I doubt survivors themselves will be touched much, but this change of dynamic will be sudden and disorientating just as much for killers as it is for them. Up to now the game has been about milking time for either side as much as possible.

I think we killers have endured enough. I used to play Friday the 13th all the time, but changed to DBD when I found out I could always be killer when I wanted, not leaving it up to a dice roll. Then, just like with F13th, I realized all the imperfections this game had. Don't let DBD be another Friday the 13th, BHVR, or I WILL move to a newer, more polished, and BALANCED game where my fun will not be limited by the incompetent dev team.

I mean technically F13 died because a lack of support which is ironic because a lot of players want bE to stop supporting the game with DLC and focus on bugs, balance, and optimizations.

Oh, neat. I was already going to get doom eternal but this just makes me more interested.

Killer mains upset its not balanced around the 4k again. Killer isn’t THAT hard. If you’re struggling every game then you need to improve.
With survivors now suiciding on hook rather than disconnecting, how do you think that will affect the stats? I can tell you this much, there won’t be any hard survivor nerfs.

I predict that tool boxes with have their values slightly nerfed, and maybe some of the rarities will be increased like Commodious being an Ultra rare item as it always should have been.

Good luck finding one.

I'm not playing atm, I quit before Ruin was nerfed and have just been watching fro the sidelines. I won't bother getting into a huge debate with you as everyones opinion is different.
Ruin was used in 80% of games - you can't judge whether gen speed is a problem when a slowdown perk is being used as soon as the game starts on a consistent basis. I'm not going to get into the mathmatics of it all as nurmerous factors come into it map RNG, tool boxes, some killers have weak early game etc etc.
Survivours suiciding have nothing to do with gen progression therefore will have no effect on stats, those games aren't the games they'll be looking at as survivors won't hook suicide if they're winning.
Their gaze is on the 5 minute GG EZ BABY KILLER
Some may debate killers win some and lose some, which is correct. However. It's not when you're completely powerless to do anything about it. We've all had those games.

This game will kill itself. No need for any other game to do it.
