Killers that have received add-on passes or reworks:

✓ Hag

✓ Trapper

✓ Wraith

✓ Freddy

✓ Nurse

✓ Doctor

Killers that definitely will be receiving add-on passes or reworks:

✓ Hillbilly

✓ Myers

✓ Huntress

✓ Leatherface

✓ Pig

Killers that have not received nor are confirmed or unconfirmed for an add-on pass or rework:

✓ Clown

✓ Spirit

✓ Legion

✓ Plague

✓ Ghostface

Killers that probably won't be recieving an add-on pass or rework (in my opinion):

✓ Demogorgon

✓ Oni

What are your hopes for the future reworks or add-on passes? What do you predict?

EDIT: Every Killer has received changes to certain extents, and I've organized this based on Killers that have gotten big fat themed updates. On another note, just because they have received these changes doesn't mean they won't receive more. Trapper definitely needs more buffs still.

When did they confirm Myers? He's only off by one, are the devs that nitpicky?

    AntiJelly Member Posts: 1,155

Why wouldn't they be? Myers is technically one of the legacy Killers, and he has got exactly 2 changes since release (4.2m/s movement speed tier in 1 and undetectable tier in 1).

He definitely has a handful of issues, and besides, Doctor was only off by about 3 add-ons.

Makes sense, though I hope Legion and Clown are buffed first

I hope they look at the chainsaw boys sometime soon.

They'd probably buff Myers to be able to rip lockers open to mori people while perma tier 3 tombstone....or at least that's my hope.

Make her not able to tunnel as hard as leatherface is able to camp.

Maybe rework the boxes or lean away from RNG key/boxes.....

That's all I would ever want from pig changes, beyond that you can buff her all you want.

What genius wanted decided to work on the killers who are almost completely fine first before the worst killers in the game?

  • Really sucks they are not doing to fix Demo's addons, so many of his iri and purple add ons are just useless compared to even his browns.

First attempt I almost get it. Had the guy dead to rights so I politely wait in front of the locker during egc. Nope.

He then messages me with all the typical slurs and deflections like bad teammates and derp derp they fed yoo. I go bruh, you were the obsession and I was getting my pwyf stacks off of you.

I got mine when some survivors messaged me about farming with party streamers so I told them how I had been trying all day so we just took the easy way out.

We haven't confirmed anything one way or the other about the Demogorgon or the Oni.

I hope they rework pigs rule set number 2. It's so useless. You're first instinct when the helmet gets slapped on is to get to the closest lit up box so it does nothing. Total waste of a red add on. At least Amanda's Letter change her into a effective stealth killer.

I also hope she gets some sort of end game back or at least some sort of final gen play style to her traps. Like all her traps reduce their timer by a small amount at last gen or something. I dunno.

Demogorgon is such a pain. Everyone knows he's coming when you teleport. And breaking pallets with his lunge is so useless. Stun time alone creates a huge gap in a chase.

Pig I could think of several additions that wouldn't break her. One is faster vaults while crouched. Another is boxes deactivating a RBT but not removing it allowing more mileage out of a single helmet.

Edit: And Oni's only problem is not seeing where a lunge lands. Otherwise he's good.

My word is not law, I'm just saying that they probably won't change those 2 Killers. Nothing big, anyways.

I'm really happy the devs are slowly going back to the weaker killers and giving them the attention they deserve. At the same time though, I have to be a bit critical. Why go through the trouble of releasing killer add-ons that are mostly useless in the first place?

With some killers, it seems like many of their add-on effects are laughably bad or the modifiers are so minute they are hardly worth running. I know it's better for them to buff things that are too weak than nerf things that are too strong, but It's just creating more work for themselves in the long run.

I think it would be beneficial for them to consult fog whisperers (who play both sides) if the proposed add-ons for new killers will be good or not. I just want to see them get it right the first time without having to worry about spending time going back and reworking everything.

I mean, besides the whole flick debacle, they got Oni hands down perfect on the first try. 100% my favorite Killer to date.

I mean that is the impression I've been getting. His shred has had a bug since he launched, and they haven't said a word about any of the issues people have brought up about him.

So either there is nothing being done or for whatever reason they just don't want to talk about him. Makes me just assume they don't want to do anything with him just yet, but maybe that isn't the case, the thing is we honestly just don't know because there is almost no communication about these things.

I've tried, feed back, reports, responding on topic directly to devs, asking questions in the Q&A's ever since he was announced, everything I could think of all without any luck. Just dead silence.

I absolutely agree, Oni may be the best killer they released yet, which is why he's my new fave. He's not perfect though, and I really wish they would change Iridescent Family Crest. It's really disappointing for an ultra rare.

  • AntiJelly
    AntiJelly Member Posts: 1,155

I guess so. Oni does have a lot of "meh" add-ons. Specifically his ultra rares, passive recharge rate, and some of his blood orb commons and uncommons

The boxes really aren't is RNG as people think.

The only amount of rng happens in the beginning of the match after that point. It's just pure probability and Survivor luck.

Also when you say tunnel, please tell me you're not one of the people who automatically consider a pig so much as glancing in someone with a reverse bear traps direction as tunneling.

  • Ghoste
    Ghoste Member Posts: 2,135

Legion has had both a "rework" and tweaks to add-ons, and Spirit had an add-on pass recently so they should be in the first list :p Still hoping for more Legion changes though.

  • They are very RNG for that reason, I've had matches where I do a box, sprint burst to another, and that second box doesn't have it and my timer is more than half up. Like at that point if you get chased off a box by them even once you are probably going to die to the trap no matter what you do just because of bad luck. At the same time it sucks for a pig trap to just be popped off and made useless immediately because they are hella lucky.

That's just not a healthy thing for a competitive game.

As for tunneling, no I mean they full tunnel. The only thing is because of the trap they might chase someone else for like 5-10 seconds but come right back to you to make sure you can never get that trap off by any means. Sometimes they just straight tunnel you off hook to re-hook you immediately until you die too, but some use the traps to do the same thing.

They tend to be the most toxic in the post game too, just 8/10 pig experiences I have had have been just awful. Even Leatherface doesn't face camp people revving his saw as much as you get a pig who just tunnels you right off hook twice in a row.

  • Archimedes5000
    Archimedes5000 Member Posts: 1,620

Its not complete RNG, because heys are assigned at the start of the match, its not a % chance like with Bear Traps.

I think thats because there are no good Pig players anymore, tunneling as pig doesnt help you win at all, but noobs use boxes and RBT as a tracking tool.

I dont play pig much, actually I play her only with splinters (so perkless and addonless), but 1st try trap removals are a nightmare, and tunneling is not viable at all. Its way better to split pressure and trap everyone.

Legion is that crossdressing solo boy right? I think he'd be a lot happier if he had some actual friends lounging around the level. If they can't manage bots to continue chasing survivors after he pinballs someone I think his power should continue to track people outside his terror radius if only briefly.

Oh and deep wounds should just extend the duration of status effects. The bleedout state is so weak, and people counter him by running across the level anyways so it's counterproductive.

a killer being able to rip doors off of lockers (and ruin them) now that is an idea

It's selected by RNG, it could be any of the boxes because of it. The first or last one you check. It's more or less the same effect.

It helps you get 1 or 2 kills that is about it, same as leatherface camping, that is enough for a lot of folks so it's all they go for.

When that thread made the poll for who should get a rework after leatherface, most people said Legion, but second after that was Pig as the most requested; and a lot of folks brought up a lot of negative experiences they were having in their games because of these playstyles and just getting shafted by boxes; and of course her needing some buffs in a few areas.

I heard a rumor awhile back about destroying vaults and my first thought was why not lockers? They're plentiful enough and it's an action that would take up time so the killer won't be destroying every one they see.

Also thought of a synergy between destroying lockers and Iredescent Hatchet. She gets her hatchets but destroys the locker limiting her reserves but also reducing the number of hiding spots.

Then there was that one idea about Trapper getting explosives and rigging lockers. Destroyable lockers would be kickass.

Edit: Oh and ripping survivors outta lockers would destroy them too. Adds an extra level to finding someone and prevents them from trying in the same place again.

I mean since killers are the only caracters with unique powers and play styles. I like the idea of reworking, changing what killer powers do from time to time. Therefore the balance and metas is constantly shifting and that way game will keep being fun more.

The thing is is the rework they gonna do be focused on buffing or nerfing the existing powers. Like with a nurse.

Also if they gonna rework killers i hope they keep the going trend and rework at least one map with a killer, with main focus on balancing broken loops, palletes and gen distances, so that every killer has a chance to do something and also acordingly to buff some survs perk so that they can keep with the game.

Also i would like to see some big reworks or new balance from time to time on survs perks. Example they nerf current meta perks like ds, bt, adrenaline but buff insanely self care, MoM, spritn and so on... So that surv side can change perks too and have fun with diferent perks too.

Legion had a complete rework of add ons. Should definitely be on top list. Really this thread is pure speculation. Most of the killers listed on "Killers that definitely will be receiving add-on passes or reworks" I haven't seen any confirmation on. I feel pretty confident that Hillbilly and Leatherface will at some point. A lot of the add ons are really bad and there is a distinct lack of iridescent add ons. I think I saw something about Leatherface being looked at in the nearish future. But I haven't seen anything at all about Huntress or Myers. If I missed something then I'd appreciate links.

I really like the idea Otz had in his video, that every trap has a set number of boxes that needs to be searched in order to remove it. So 1 trap is removed 1st try, second on 3rd, third on 4th, fourht on 2nd etc. Its still RNG, but one you see someone open it on a 1st try, you know that the next trap will not go down that easy, and that its impossible for miltiple surviviors to get it on the first try. This wouldnt solve all problems, but at least one of them.

Idc how they do add-ons personally as i dont ever use them but i'd like all the killers at base to be good without them. Trapper needs alot of improvements and I think Nurse's cooldown was a little much.

  • AntiJelly
    AntiJelly Member Posts: 1,155

    @Dreamnomad @Ghoste

Legion got a fix, not a rework. I wouldn't even call it an add-on pass. He's still terrible and also pretty much the same.

Spirit got a change to about 3 or 4 of her add-ons, and a small change to her power. Again, fixes, not reworks or add-on pass.

  • thesuicidefox
    thesuicidefox Member Posts: 8,223

Spirit is just fine the way she is. She got a "rework" recently, no need to do a damn thing about her.

Ghostface is fine too. They just need to fix the buggy AF stalk break mechanic.

  • StuMacher
    StuMacher Member Posts: 110

I like the iridescent idea. It limits and forces killers to move almost like trapper and picking up his traps.

I imagine an animation where the door getting ripped off would be a bit more enjoyable to watch.

Please don't rework Myers too much.

I love facing current version of Myers especially forever tier 1 Myers -> He know where you were, you can run but you cant hide.

Exactly my words.. And this is happenning every time.. I think a lot of people here soule love to talk these testers.. Dodať they see this? After de s games every killer inde that most of his addons are not bad but utterly useless.. Basically all you need is rat liver and guts its really said... No idea why they are doing it... Same with maps everyone hates big and dark maps and what do they do ? Lets release another one like that

  • AntiJelly
    AntiJelly Member Posts: 1,155

I imagine if when Myers did get touched up, he wouldn't be reworked that much. They would probably just do an add-on pass for him and that'd be it.

the spirit changes were: Collision during Yamaoka’s Haunting, Window vaulting animation, Adjusted speed curve post-phase, Add-on changes to 6 of her add ons, one of them being a big one most people use (prayer beads)

she already had her rework. legion is constantly getting add on changes so he should just stay on that list and never leave lol. They have confirmed pig, legion add on changes, hill billy, leatherface and myers. they never said 100% huntress. If you want your list fact based you should update it to be true on what has happened and has been 100% confirmed otherwise it will just stay as an opinion based list, which there is nothing wrong with that at all but some people wont take it/you as seriously. Showing proof of what the devs confirmed as well would help those that have never seen it mentioned.

    example

pig most likely wont be getting a huge buff like alot of people thinks she needs but she is getting an add on rework Soon™

the last word i had seen about ghostface was that there are no plans to change him yet
