A while back, I thought it was Pinhead, but the Hellraiser chains are almost autonomous, which doesn't stack with what we've seen in this albeit brief clip. Shame.

The timing between the chain pulls suggest that for each stride being made every second the chain is pulled with the killer. A pause then followed by what I think is the killer launching the ball at a Survivor.
I think it's prison themed. A ball and chain killer.
Maybe the ball and chain can be used to destroy breakable surfaces .

Heres what I hope:
A beastly killer than literally needs to be chained down. Perhaps has some sort of porting ability but actually has a radius he can only hunt in before the chains stop him. When his ability guage is full he can become an insanely OP straight up as fast as hell beast that literally breaks off his wall chains for a durable period of time.

A literal monster or might as well be monster human who rips guts at chases. Sort of like a shredding demagorgan had a hidious OP baby with a raging Oni. he has long, very loud chains hanging from him not only as a early and clear sound warning for survivors hide but as a visual indicator to see where he went clearly with less risk of poking their heads out by watching his chails tail behind him.

Ghost Rider is part of Marvel. They would never let any of their characters be a part of DbD, lol.
If it's a licensed character, I agree that it's most likely Pinhead.

I don't get a Pinhead vibe from that.. as much as I want him to be in the game. I'd love to be wrong!

I had a theory that Nu Freddy was actually supposed to be Pinhead. He drags you into a hell dimension, requires interaction with a device to bring you back to sanity, traps that could easily have been chains slowing you down, teleportation, etc.

A cenobite, preferably Pinhead, would be an incredible addition to our roster of killers and the chains seem to be a decent clue. The laziness of the first two yanks and then the sudden acceleration at the end fall in line with a certain scene from one of the Hellraiser films. Plus, Last Year already has a chained prisoner who breaks walls, so I dunno if a repetition of ideas would be wise from BHVR on a legal basis.
Still, if it's some type of prisoner or chained beast, I'll be happy. Since I've already got my survivor main and preferred build, map and killer are all I care about and a prison map would be awesome. However, we just go reworked Lery's and the truth is, that map does give off some decrepit prison vibes in certain places, so releasing a similar themed map right after might not be the best idea.

I'm in the camp of people who think it's prisoner-themed in some way. You can see the chain snap taut at the end, which means someone (or some...Thing!) is definitely attached against its will and looking to escape.
Being snatched by The Fog is good for escaping...
Plus, the archtype fits: The Prisoner / The Escaped Killer / The Convict , etc. it fits.

I bet its a Minotaurus and as survivor we get Hercules (Kevin Sorbo is the only one^^) for the sake of the tv serie.
He was a prisoner in his labyrinth before some greek hero has kill him (have forgotten his name).
