Why are solo survivors suddenly as altruistic as swf

Just had a game where i got gen rushed so i camped one of them when the gates opened and they just kept unhooking without bt right infront of me i turned a 1k into 3k i actually felt bad for them. And they werent even a swf. I keep getting games like this since ruin nerf (i never used ruin). So are survivors suddenly overconfident or is it just me

It does not sound like they were very altruistic, more like they were farming you.

Either overconfident, or idiots. I choose the latter. I always get them without BT unhooking while the killer just watches 3 feet away tapping his foot waiting to redown me. Fun times!

Too much altruism and too little objectives is very common from my experience. Altruism emblems are competitive, so many survivors rush saves before their teammates can.

I don’t think emblems are the issue.. I think when the objective portion of the game is 1 minute longer than EGC the survivors feel a bold unhook is somehow gonna pay off. They also feel like a killer should go stand in a corner or something? Not really sure what there thinking honestly. No BT no unhook when the doors are open.

Depends on the situation. I've had solo games where people made all the classic swf plays with zero communication and an abundance of pointing. Flashlight saves, hook sabotage, body blocking the unhooker so they have an extra health state, etc.

They took a risk and failed. But they're not at fault for trying. I have too many games counting the number of hooks they feed the killer because no one can manage anything else.

    Kindred.

I used to play as a “sole survivor” before the kindred buff because I hated going to unhook my team as I had no idea what is the rest of my team doing. Most of the time I either got caught by the killer and hindered my team, or someone else would beat me to the unhook and make me waste great time on not doing gens. But now that I get plenty of information, I can optimally work on gens and help my team at the same time as if I’m kinda playing in a SWF group!

On regular game where 2-3 people get hooked once all 5 gens are finished it would be pretty boring to just leave so I rather see clown fiesta at the hook than leave.

I dont care if I die or live I just want some interaction between sides.

I try not to leave anyone behind, but sometimes you gotta let the killer have one. It makes no sense to rush the basement when Leatherface is sitting at the stairs waiting for you…

Why do people mistake this behavior as SWF only?

Because only SWF could possibly understand the concept of holding m1 where someone has been hooked, don't ya know?

Idk why everyone is acting like this is new. It's been like this for a long time.

Altruism is the only SHARED emblem.

@toxicnancymain how much damage did you deal out in the game? More to the point, was it enoughfor iridescent Altruism?

It's shared but people are after that sweet safe unhook bonus. Only the person who unhooks gets that.
