Devs, a question why don't you make shadowborn basekit, since stretched resolution exist?
People on pc use stretched resolution, to get a free shadowborn, on console we can't do that... many killers played on console feel just so much better with higher Fov due to lower fps and reduced max sensitivity, so when we get some love?

Stretched res only increases the vertical fov so it's not the same thing as shadowborn. Shadowborn increases the horizontal fov.

Nope, I'm pretty sure it does not increase horizontal fov. It looks like it on the video but I'm sure it's the same in reality. I did research and didn't find a single source that says the horizontal fov is higher on stretched res. I also play with stretched res, it does feel a lot nicer to play but you actually get very little benefit from playing like that.
EDIT: I just tested it ingame and it's exactly the same.

@arslaN can you screenshot to make a comparison if possible? btw i think you mean horizontal.. because it's obvious that during fatigue with that fov never lose track of survivors with nurse...it looks even better than shadowborn

The reason stated as for why shafdowborn is not basekit was very often that it'd be too strong for killers.

@Raptorrotas doesn't matter, it only would make nurse stronger, huntress at best, but people still use stretched res so whatever

Yeah I mixed them up, I meant horizontal.

As you can see, they look identical from the sides.

@arslaN yeah, it looks the same horizontal.. ty btw.. i don't know maybe there are other types of stretch? i'm a noob since i don't own a real pc, i tried with tv settings(lg) i got like 5 degree more

I tried running the game on that resolution and it's still the same for me. First one is 1600x1024

The fact that the only way to not have a nauseating experience playing Killer for long periods of time is to sacrifice a perk slot is on its own, absolutely absurd.

Shadowborn as basekit would be fine. People who say otherwise are simply overreacting, especially considering it was only reduced to mask camera clipping issues.
However Shadowborn and MnA's FoV effects would need adjusting.

No, we need killers to be blind and deaf, so the rank 15 baby survivors can be immersed!

Totally agree. If some players have to use a perk to have a benefit that other player can have free that is unfair and unbalanced.

Or just... make Shadowborn a different perk.
There's no reason FoV should be restricted to killers. If you want to be non-adjustable, at least make it so its not sickening to play with.

Shadowborn as a basekit would hurt killers more than it would help, cause survivors have a bigger chance to blind you. A bigger view means a bigger field to get blinded.
On the other hand, sure, you see more. Dk if thats nice against new players that try to hide.

I can work around and predict flashlights.
I can't work around this ######### FoV. It feels like I have to lean into my screen to see #########.

seriously guys complaining about flashlight due to shadowborn? it's true the angle is wider, but if you look at the wall there's no way you get blinded... if you are scared of flashlight run infectous fright or lightborn
