Please, PLEASE make the next killer original!
The Devs have so much more freedom to incorporate lore and tie that lore into other characters. They have SO much more flexibility for creativity and balance for an original killer. It is overall healthier for the game as a whole.
Please. Make DBD original again!

I mean, balance and creativity wise they did pretty well with Ghostface and new Freddy. I don't really think licensed characters hold that back in most circumstances.

It would definitely be too late at this point to change that if the next killer is licensed; that sort of thing would need to be decided way earlier on. We're getting close to the release at this point.
But for the record, the character being licensed or not has nothing to do with balance. We are free to balance them however we see fit.

Yeah it's just that original characters overall tend to have more interesting powers and themes + Cool cosmetics every few weeks (unless you're Adam lol.)

I hope so too, I love original chapters, they are just all ... amazing. Not saying that licence chapters are worse, but they are just abit... predictable and dull for my opinion. I love to get suprised completly by a original chapter!

I like original killers more. It's easier to accept that a killer did not the on or other action or getting looped if it is a original killer.
To see the same by some possible licensed killer is a experience I would never like to have.
But that is just my opinion.

I'm the opposite. I prefer licensed killers. As a huge horror fan it's fun to see all these franchises crossover with each other.

Well by Ghostface it fits, I need to say. Everytime I watch Scream, I am not really sure if I watch a Horror movie, or a Horror-Comedy movie (there are several scenes I just need to laugh - the freddy easteregg, how he got hit by an freezer and so on...) and the demi thing I didn't know and about Freddy I not really care, but Meyers I found actual not really impressing if you not play him 1 shot style.
The alien and the terminator I would not like to see as example in dbd. They both could easy smash every loop spot away. The terminator is being able to drag cars up... I would not like to see him running around in loops if I am honest.
But everything how he it likes. If you can find fun in it, its good because for that hopes everyone here ;).
