Maining one killer or playing various killers

Do you play the same killer over and over again to learn all the ins and outs about that killer

I try to play different killers but always seem to go back to pig

When I started, I mained Wraith to learn how to chase, track and outsmart survivors.
This is all you need to learn to be good with the majority of killers.
I main Hag because her strategic gameplay style is pretty fun, but it takes quite a bit of practice to keep up with the tactics survivors can do in response.
The same can't be said about other killers.

Luckily I absolutely suck as killer, wich means at rank reset I'm around rank 16 and usually end up around rank 13-10 depending on how much time i have to play.
That allows me to use any killer i feel like playing. Bad side is that it means grinding several killers and that is very painful

I play all killers, some more then others of course but can't use only one I get bored to bits.

Pig's my main, but I play most of the Killers off and on. Partly for variety, partly because I don't feel comfortable making gameplay changes to a Killer I haven't played enough to understand well.

probably 3-4 consistently, the rest either when i have dailies, achievements, archives or when i get bored.

Im "28 stabs" because originally I was Legion main. No, I change killers every month. Right now I enjoy the Pig. I dont change killers to find the best one, I get bored of the same killer. I can switch back to hag or Ghostface. I guess they are my favourites.

I started where many people start. Wraith and Trapper.
Wraith is still the one I enjoy the most, because of the challenge.

I consistently switch between Spirit, Plague, Myers, Pig, Oni, and Ghostface. I would play Hag and Demogorgon but they destroy my FPS on console so I try to avoid them.
I don’t really have a “main” killer but back when Spirit was released I basically only played her. Same with Plague. So I guess those two would be my “main killers”.

I also play various killers. The killer I play most rn is spirit cuz I try to learn her. Gameplay wise the doctor,God he is hot

I play most of the cast with the exception of nurse due to console controls and fps, plague - I find her boring, ghostface and demo, because I don't wanna buy them

Doctor plague then mike or ghostface
Step one
It always goes the same. Play doctor, get mad that dispite knowing where everyone is at still having nothing to catch them with. Watching them heal in front of you.
Step two
Play plague making sure that everyone gets sick so they cant heal. The escape with bt or DH or DS meta with 100 second chance perks. Get frustrated
Step three mori time.
Play GF to one shot. Mori off of tunnel if overly toxic survivor night tombstone mike
Optional. If messaged repeatedly, challenge to private match and play nurse no addons no perks. Mori tho

In the event of getting wrecked on final option proceed to eject disk. Promptly break in half. Weep openly. Reorder Dbd from Amazon prime while on tearstained pillows. Tell my wife "I'm fine."

I try to mix it up but I definitely have my favorites.

if you want to get good into something, you have to focus your effort in that thing. mastering killers is the same, you'll never be master in all of them, you have to prioritize one of them. but of course playing only one may get boring, than it's up to you decide

I usually main Huntress but I also play a bit of Trapper, Ghostface, Clown and Demogorgon.
I frequently play a bit of Legion and Plague as well. I rarely play Spirit because I haven't got decent perks for her yet.

I play them all, it depends on what mood I'm currently in.
If I feel like being strategic: trapper or hag.
If I feel like brute forcing: clown or hillbilly
If I feel like being stealthy: Myers or ghostface.
If I want to mori someone: Demogorgon.
If I want something different: the rest of the cast.
My playstyle means I am the absolute worst with doctor. Every one is like ooo he can see you at any point. Y'know what? Survivors see the scream orbs too and that means they know where you are too.
This kills the Heartbound.

When the game came out I didn't really main anyone until Myers dropped, while I play a lot of other killers I easily have the most amount of hours on Myers out of anyone, but then when The Demogorgon released I didn't like his power, but Stranger Things being my favorite show I wanted to learn him, and I quickly discovered how much depth he has to him, and he quickly became one of my favorite killers. So I would say I "main" Myers and Demo, but I do play other killers just not as often, I like the Oni, Legion, Trapper, and Doctor.

I have my main killers that I play more than others, but there’s also killers I have a fairly high kill rate with but I don’t play them. It’s just about trying to have fun and getting challenges done for at this point

I use to only play Hag, however there have been frame issues when playing her on Console lately. Nowadays I play a lot of everything aside from the chainsaw bois.

I want to main a killer but none of the current ones are quite "up my alley" enough. Hoping the next killer will change that. Of course I've been hoping the next killer will change it for years and no luck so far so uhh... odds aren't exactly in my favor.
Or are they? Technically every killer they add that I don't have much interest in is one more idea out of the way unless they pull a leatherface or ghostface again

Depends on the difficulty of the killers you want to play.
If its a hard killer like nurse or weak killer like clown then I would recommend focusing on maining them instead of playing them between killers otherwise you'll get clowned on by good survivors.
Killesr like GF, Myers, spirit etc I find you can play inbetween other killers

I played hag for almost 200 hours of my in-game life, until I decided to spend money and get the spirit, pig, demogorgon, doctor, and ghostface. But after Oni... I'm married to him now.

I play killers the same way I play survivors I just use one till I get through all their stuff and then I move onto a new one unless I get a daily. Whenever I got enough BP to speed through prestige I go back to the old one.

Because of this crappy group ranking i cant play all the killers i want. I want to try others but held back by that silly ranking. If i do i am goign to get stomped on and that is not good for the confidence. So i stick with the ones i know how to play rather than getting pooped on game after game until i derank enough to actually be able to use them somewhat under more fairer conditions.

Put them into mad 3 and they wont be doing anything but attempting to get way from you.

I switch off daily whichever killer I feel like playing. I was a Mike main for the longest time now I play Oni. I’d say if you want to truly master a killer then play that one till you get bored.

Freddy mostly and sometimes other top tier killers as I like to keep my "fair" playstyle while still giving survivors run for their money.

I started as a swf main but started playing killer a lot more when my buddy and I had a falling out so old Doc was the first killer I got really good at then I picked up most of the others and the three I play most are Doc, Hag, and Legion but I will play a variety to keep it fresh, just switch to doc or hag when I want a better chance to get that 4k

Yo mind me asking for demo tips? Everytime i play him I get bullied.
I do just fine as Myers and Legion (my mains) but in red ranks I tend to be destroyed as Demo, I did watch a good Pouncing guide and its helped alot, but still I tend to get gen rushed because I cant keep pressure up.

I have a few I "main" (Legion, Pig, Spirit, Wraith, Oni) but I try to play different killers regularly. Say if I play 5 games as killer, 3 will be not on that list.
I do it to:
50% - change of pace. It gets old using the same build/power all day.
50%- to familiarize myself with their powers, tactics, etc for when I play survivor, or find a new love for s different killer after changes/patches.
I was pleasantly surprised at how fun Huntress is when you dont get Lerys and miss every hatchet.

I have only 1 killer really main, because I believe that to be focused on just 1 matter will always be better as someone to try to be perfect in everything possible.
That said, I have also other killers and even survivors play, but my gametime with them is not comparable to the 1 killer I have main.

I need variety but I have a favorite or 2 that I use if I feel like the survivors are gonna try very hard to finish the game in 6 mins. I don't know how people can stick with the same killer over and over lol the game isn't deep enough to keep my interest with just 1 killer.
