Complaints on Bans - The harsh truth that most cannot come to terms with

The title says all. I hear all of these players REJOICING bans and wanting more bans for all sorts of reasons.

Do you really want ANYONE left playing the game at this point? This is becoming as bad as the Overwatch community.

"everyone should be banned for everything, if things aren't going my way".

To all of you whom play with pugs and complain about the DC.FORM YOUR OWN 4-MAN SWF GROUP. If you don't like what others are doing.

YOU PUG. You face the consequences.

.I hosted servers for various valve, source-dedicated games and can certainly bring the light here that people have to realize. You want FREE access to the game and money rolling in. You gotta learn SOCIAL sciences and marketing. or you aren't going to make a dime to keep the doors open. That means understanding that this is a VIDEO game where it matches RANDOS.

The harsh truth, for those whom are mature, to understand. From an administrative standpoint:

This game has to sift through 30,000+ potential players and make a match.

EXAMPLE: You get "kenny from New Jersey at noon, Jill from Texas at 11am, Bubba from Colorado at 10am, and Brad from Washington at 9am. All to play Dead by daylight. One person is really good at the game, the next could be quite bad. and the last person could be a pro.

You know. If any one of these 4 aren't happy and decide to leave the match. At least they were guaranteed to keep on re-q'ing and give some MONEY to buy a Costume, a new Killer, a new survivor. maybe even some of the other promotional stuff offered by the company.

But if Kenny, Jill, Bubba, or "the other guy" are sitting there in a long ban-penalty after the game crashed, or they felt something wasn't fair. Decides they no longer feel welcome to spend money. Do you think that this game will remain going strong anymore?

I mean yes, you still remain. you got to PLAY when they left. Stick around and get your points. Heck, most of the time the KILLERS would let PEOPLE FARM still!

It might be a bit frustrating yes, to lose because your team mate wasn't playing anymore. BUT telling people that their opinions are no longer valid and we dont want you here.

This means less money coming in. IT Means YOUR Q TIMES GO UP!. and your content will be delivered MUCH slower. This becomes more of a "cult". than a community of gamers.

----

Saying anything along the lines of "oh you cry baby about sympathizing dcers or do it yourself". newsflash; I've done this type of work before, hosting games. The world will NEVER be perfect and since the dawn of the internet age. DC's happen. It is an ONLINE VIDEO GAME. Get use to it.

Unlike many armchair commandos I encounter online whom have never even telnet or putty' into a server to work on it. Newsflash; This game is a great game, but the community will drive ITSELF out and very quickly. There aren't exactly good titles LIKE THIS GAME that are out there.

Don't destroy this community with this "ban everything nonsense" . adapt or FORM YOUR OWN TEAMS. Get friends.😎

This is what I’ve been saying. People getting punished for server issues and game crashes and gamebreaking bugs. People will stop playing if it becomes too much.

Then there is the fact that disconnects were a way for people to vent off steam with some of the BS in the game. Not saying it was right but there is a lot of stuff in this game that tilts people that you wouldn’t find in other games.

The penalties should have started out small so random crashes or bugs wouldn’t be an issue and then escalated. It should be the worst offenders that get hit the hardest.

This way right now just tends to hurt people that play the most. I feel like it might be enough to put some people off playing.

Yeah, I agree something has to change. Good post btw!

I find it sad that people post so many awful things about banning people for PETTY things. It no longer becomes a video game that is fun.

The penalties could have been 3-4 minutes at most. Since the staff makes the ONE valid argument. That rage quitting became too much.

The stacking penalty ban stuff is overboard. Especially for computer error.
