Breakout

Anyone have any good altruistic builds that center around the breakout perk? Been bored with the standard meta builds and trying some different stuff. Been trying sabo builds and using flashlights to go along breakout. Anyone have much success with it?

I used breakout very recently and it actually worked...once. I was also playing with my friends so I could actually coordinate it and make it work. I think for it to be a good perk, the range to activate needs to be buffed. 6m is nothing. Imo it should be around 10 or 12.

I've gotten it to work a few times. Sometimes I bait enough swings from the killer to get the save without taking a hit.

Break Out is basically an anti-basement if you have a bodyblock. Unless the killer picked a person up right at the stairs than there is not much you can do.

Counters Agitation too because of the movement speed bonus. Had quite a few killers try to hit me thinking they were faster than I was. As long as you dont make sharp corners while he is trying to hit you you should be fine.

Mettle of Man, Break Out, Empathy/Bond, Tenacity/Unbreakable is usually what I go for. Tenacity/Unbreakable for that extra hit/bodyblock that might help them wiggle out. However most the time killers will pick you up instead, so Decisive Strike might also be a good choice if you prefer that type of playstyle.

Great when the mods seem to know so much about playing survivor...

What are u even talking about... they were answering a question

Don't normally see the mods respond with such knowledge about playing killer.

Maybe they pefer survivor more. Just because they are a mod doesnt mean they have complete knowledge over every little thing for both sides.

Seems a lot of people responsible for this this game prefer survivor more. Makes a lot of sense when you see how bad playing killer feels.

Yes because the mod is responsible for balancing the game for killers therefore they must play more killer because they have no idea what it is like to play killer

I have a hard time believing mods do not give information to those responsible for balancing, about how people are reacting on the forums.

U say this like I said they dont. It's up to the devs what they want to add or not. Targeting out a mod isnt doing u anything

I haven't fully tested it yet but...

I call it "Escort". Mettle of Man, Breakout, Small Game, Inner Strength.

For each totem you find you can take a hit. After 3 totems you have MOM. Breakout is to potentially get survivors to struggle free.

If you bring Styptic Agent you can take 2 hits on a single hook which with Breakout is pretty much a guarantee they will struggle free, and 2 stacks on MOM.

Who cares? Seems unnecessary that you're trying to call a mod out because they play survivor. This thread had nothing to do with killer.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste a perk slot for a perk that works once in about 15 games.

If you REALLY want to try it though you might wanna combine it with something that lets you know where your teammates are like "bond" or "empathy" as you have to be close enough for Breakout to make ANY difference considering hooks are everywhere.

If you have a purple "instaheal" you can use it to take an additional hit at the hook. That's two protection hits at once so maybe Mettle Of Man could work with that combo as well.

Breakout, Empathy or Bond, Mettle Of Man + purple instaheal.

The last perk could be Dead Hard so you can bait a 3rd swing at the hook. Not only that but this way you have at least 1 perk for yourself.

    So basically:

    - Breakout

    - Mettle Of Man

    - Empathy or Bond

    - Dead Hard

    + Purple Instaheal

Me and my swf grp was bored and we were playing for a day a sabo squad with Alex toolbox, Mettle of Men, Breakout, Borrow and Dead Hard. It was a ton of fun to 99 all the hooks and then sabo it infront of the Killer, he will never make it to another hook because of Breakout.

The funny thing is, we still managed to escape most of the time because we were still doing gens while we sabo'd, we made soo many Killers really salty and they most of the time dc.

Empathy is a good perk to combine with Breakout, cause you know in advance where your mate might go down and can get close early so you can use your perk. For the active part Mettle of Men is the next best thing to get this protection hits. We're gonna live forever makes them even generate bloodpoints. And personally I would take Decisive Strike.

Maybe a styptic is a good addition to, for it allows you to take one more protection hit.

What about breakout, flipflop, tenacity, unbreakable?

Flipflop gives a decent amount of wiggle bar if slugged. Tenacity lets you move and recover faster, unbreakable punishes slugging as 2nd last survivor

Breakout is very situational and when people try to use it its usually the wrong situation. I seen one person that used it amazingly well during first tome. Stopped like 4 basement hooks.

Yep I can do that! It in a swf, there's specific places in every map where you know there's no hooks near by. The strode map if you're upstairs in any house, the school in badham and much more. Breakout+ a kit with the purple add-on to take 1 more hit while bodyblocking. Sprint burst combines very well with the 7% increased speed that breakout gives. Obviously if you're with a friend ask him to add boil over to his build it's the strongest.

The ash perk is great but it's rare to get 3

I suppose if something is running boil over and you have breakout, would that stack the buff to wiggle speed? You'd have to coordinate that of course.

Beefy med kit, mettle of man, breakout, unbreakable, we're going to live forever. Easy 4 stacks of wglf and I even got lucky several times managing to activate mettle of man twice in 1 game :)

I love breakout, I use it in almost all my builds as I get many saves w it. My meta build is dead hard, hope, breakout, decisive strike. My build built for breakout is empathy, dead hard, hope, (soon to be saboteur as breaking hooks gonna be meta)
