Body Blocking

This needs to end. Survivors need a nerf or change that no longer allows them to body block hooks. This is an irritating "strategy" that survivors pull to completely deny a killer from using the hook and there are next to no consequences to it since anyone who still stands can just block the next hook and pick up any fallen teamates. This either needs to be removed entirely or have some sort of penalty akin to the entity appearing at windows after getting vaulted again and again. (also could that be added to pallets? Sounds nice to me).

You can attack the body blocker. Problem solved.

That's what I meant by it having almost no consequences and mentioned that in the post anyways. It takes 2 hits for each player, every hit has a quick cool down. And there is never just 1 body blocker. By then your prey is gone and the downed person is either picked up too or on the hook, cycle starting again.

They need to just change that to something like this. Survivors aren't blocked by survivors they can clip through eachother. If they try to void hits by getting too close together the injured person takes priority so they will do it as they would now and not use it as a cheat. Then have the killer be able to "push" survivors as they simply move if he is bumping into them.

Is this a thing? I am seeing this more often as a survivor. A killer will approach and I have to hide quickly so I use a tree that will just barely cover me. Someone else hidden near by will quickly get behind me too even though now the killer will have to be a moron to not see us. But if he does which is 90% of time. The other survivor kinda as me pressed to the tree so I can't move well. Making me the guaranteed person who takes the hit. Therefore pretty much guaranteeing I get chased instead. Just had a guy who did this get the hatch. Seriously no game gets to me like this game does sometimes....

This is one of the few hook denial methods I'm fine with.

Survivors have to take a hit for it to work. And even then it's not likely to succeed.

Just remember to smack them as soon as they get close enough. But if the survivors manage to deny the hook, tough luck. Most likely the entire team had to take a hit. Which meant they were able to coordinate effectively.

Keep in mind, taking hits wastes so much of the survivors time. Now they have to go heal.

When I'm playing Nurse, body blocking is basically a death sentence. Because now they've given me more opportunity to hunt them down.

I usually play killer but I don't see a problem with body blocking. You can use iron grasp. I find it useful since the survivors don't realize how much time you actually have and you move around a lot easier. So you'll have free hits.

Body blocking can backfire terribly if the killer has game knowledge on how to counter it. I swf so much that when I play killer I know how to counter it to turn body blocking into a positive outcome for me. Play with some friends as survivor, then watch how killers fail and you rescue your teammate, but also watch how it snowballs and your entire team almost ends up down. Then do what that killer did.

If body-blocking has got you down try Sloppy Butcher! This wonderful perk applies both the Hemmhorrage and more importantly **Mangled** status effects on hits. Use the slower recovery time to discourage altruism and stack it with any of the Nurse's perks to unleash heck upon your enemies. (Or if you have the Wraith's teachables unlocked Bloodhound is okay too I guess.)

My suggestion is to run a slugging build.
Once everyone is cleaning the floor, you can pick them up one by one without fearing anyone puting a lightsabre in your eyes or having to go through a kongo line to reach a hook. Also you can coutner DS which got buffed for some reason very reliable this way.

    I am laughing right now.

Body blocking was never an issue for me.
I just hit them and continue hooking the person, I have on my shoulders.
I know the timings and if they could wiggle off, I let them live their live as slug.
I then hunt down the players trying to save the slug and camp their ass off, because overaltruistic body blockers will definitely come to save their friends.

The only issue with this is, because of self care, getting hit isn't a real punishment anymore, it's a 20-30 second heal and that's it.
