Should killers have a red stain still?

You are right, lets remove red stain. After that, give survivors 115% movement speed and a power. According to your logic, this has to happen, since it is something survivors cannot do. Sorry if that sounds sarcastic, but i am only using your logic.
Serious question: Do you guys even have played this game or are you playing the game at the current state? How can anybody even think of an idea that is as silly as this one, seriously? Next thread will be "remove killers power and all his perks" or "remove all the pallets and windows" or "remove terror radius at all".
Killers dont need a buff. Survivors dont need a buff. And especially not such gamebreaking stuff like this.

No, you're not. You're spinning my words to fit your agenda. With "It allows them to do something they shouldn't be able to do and that killers themselves cannot do" I was very clearly talking about the unfair amount of informations survivors have that has no counterpart (nor counterplay) on the killer's side.

The reasoning behind this 'silly' idea was the game is more fun from my point of view as a survivor when the killer hits you or appears with 0 warning.
I would guess that the vast majority of people who buy this game new and play as survivor enjoy the 'oh God it's the killer, Please dont see me or I'm dead' type of gameplay which I put up a suggestion as to how to bring this feeling back to people who've played the game for over 50 hours.
To me, I think having a game that would resemble the hypothetical real situation would be perfect. Not the killer with a torch on his head, having to walk like Michael Jackson to 'hopefully' predict where the person is they are trying to hit.
As for killers and survivors dont need buffs. How many survivor mains do you see complaining in these discussions? I see a lot of killer mains suggesting new ways to balance it as they are predominantly the ones struggling to keep up with the new speed of the games.

Due to the lack of viable killers that can't depend on their power in chases, and the strength of looping. I'd say yes. Red stain gives too much information, to survivors which is why looping is too strong.
Or the devs could make Beast of Prey (Huntress perk that removes the red stain when killers BL) base kit for all killers

I like it, learning to moonwalk was a big turning point for me as a killer, and getting a hit after mindgaming with a moonwalk feels really good. I just think it should be fixed to not shine through walls.

First of all i am not saying survivors need any buff, but also killer is more then fine at the moment. But some here act the power role is so weak, and i find this a bit laughable.
This idea is silly because it is not doable the slightest without completly breaking the game. Terror Radius and red stain are essential for survivors to stand a chance.
Also the jumpscare effect is getting old super quick. You will get used to that within a week or two and then we are exatly at the same point as we are now. A lot of effort for pretty much nothing. Look at ghostface, myers of hag. First weeks were scary, but after you experienced those killers a few times, they can not shock you anymore. Its the nature of human mind.

I will agree with this. It should stay in chases. But shouldn't be there when they're not in chase.

I'd argue yes. Having it lets you do things that you couldn't do without it. An LT wall is a great example of how it can be used to your advantage. If I approach it going forward, my stain goes around the corner and the survivor might vault thinking that I'm committing to that direction. Meanwhile if I turn around, they might think I changed directions and continue running instead of vaulting.
Without it, they're just making a blind guess (if they wait to see you, it's too late). Nobody's really outsmarting the other person there, you're both just hoping for the best.
With it, they can make an educated guess, but you can also mess with them and mindgame to get a hit.

I personally would choose to have it stay. It's one of the things I really like about the game. It adds a kind of strategy to this game that you don't find on others.

Why removing it when skilled players can use the red stain to their advantage? Makes it just easier for baby killers and removes a skillcap. No thanks, red stain must stay forever.

Moonwalking doesn't say Horror Video Game to me. It's just a workaround for a flaw in the game design.

How about adding a blue stain for survivors? You know, to increase the skill cap and to not make the game easy for baby survs? Think of the extra mind games that would become possible.

Definitely leave red stain. Survivors would get ######### on loops without it. As a killer main I believe moon walking and certain tactics like that to manipulate your red stain and make survivors think more is honestly more rewarding to me as a killer when tactics like that work .

This makes 0 sense.

It's a game ffs. Fun and balance is more important than "feeling the horror".

The red stain should be dimmed by about 40%. Removing it will just make people mad as they didn't know the killer were right behind them.
Also red stain through wall should be invisible.
I wonder if they can create a perk which will increase or reduce red stain intensity. I know beast of prey disables it but I can imagine a killer equivalent of poised being a thing where it removes the red stain for 30 seconds everytime a gen is completed.

One of the things I enjoy as a survivor is the mindgames at those jungle gyms and LT walls that make the game exciting instead of m1 simulator.
When I play on killer and manipulate my red stain to score a hit, that is awesome and I enjoy my success.
I don't think it should be removed completely.

Sort of what Beast of Pray is for. Survivors who are good at looping use the red stain to help them loop. Without it mind game looping just isn’t a thing at brick walls for example

it's a really undeserved factor that only serves to make looping more frustrating. it should be removed.
