How do you play killer without getting extremely stressed ?
I've played this game for 2 years now and I still find my self stressed during most matches, whether it be the terrible map design screwing me over or the occasional bully squad. I wanna know how you play this game without being stressed. I'm not tryna lose all my hair !

Create a secondary account and start from rank 20 with wraith or bubba or any killer you want. Use Steam family share (so you don't have to buy the game twice). It's so fun, but try not to destroy them, you can control the flow of the match, dont make it a sh*tty experience for a new player, help them learn, let them rescue, even let them do some gens, let them throw pallets, let them stun you sometimes so they can have some bloodpoints, 2-hook everyone, even slug or pick them up and free them, maybe even let some of them escape, give tips at the end of the match. Overall, have fun and let everyone have fun.
It's so relaxing, not really challenging, but relaxing and you'll laugh your ass off sometimes. N00bs are fun to watch.
Granted, rank 20 is boring, but ranks 18-13 are really funny, there are people with like 100 hours who understand the game, yet they do stupid things and you laugh your ass off.

Depends, gen rush or pallet looping?

Stop caring about how it ends. If they want to just do gens as fast as possible and get out - hell, I'll even open the door for them.

Keep your expectations low and you will never be dissapointed

Tried this.
I stopped caring about HOW it ends, but it turned into caring about WHEN it ends. You can't force the exit gates open if they refuse to repair the last gen until they've all had their share of tag-team bullying the piΓ±ata for points...

Just play Bubba and use a basement or pure camping build.

Deal with it and move on.
In the near future, i hope things change for both sides

You need to stop caring about entitys score. Its 1v1 game, unless survivors dont do generators. Dont reason with anyone. Play only with Rancor, Mori or Pigs traps to deny easy exit gates to at least 1 guy. If 1 guy die early, you can try to get more.

I've not had that problem - ironically bully squads are more entertaining to me than the normal game.

Play killer, tilt...switch over to survivor and watch others tilt while relaxing.

I play with moris. I have tons of them.

i dont think there really is a way.
i think the best thing is to just not care about games you know are a lost case. if you get worked up, trying your hardest just to get completely fcked by the map you play on / some OP item (hello, keys) you'll end up being frustrated and then you wont want to continue playing.

You don't. Killer experience is either boringly frustrating or frustratingly boring.

I don't want to play this game anymore. Every single game I get nowadays is boring. As survivor if my teammates are no potatos that just do nothing and stay crouched or stay in a locker(I see when I am at the hook) or the game flies so fast that I have no fun. As killer if I don't get a game that is so easy because the team are potatoes and there is no fun, what's happens is that the gen flies so fast that i still have no fun. I'm leaving this game for a while.

Most matches are pretty straight forward for me. Find a person, do the looping, hook the person, rinse and repeat until I win or I lose. I just don't get all that stressed anymore, I used to no doubt but the more I play, the less it bothers me. I'm just used to everything the survivors can do so I don't get as stressed when they do them. I've also lost plenty of times by this point so it doesn't really bother me as much.
When I do have a game that stresses me to high heaven for whatever reason, I'll just play a couple meme games. Go around as Ghostface and t-bag people, hide at an exit gate with Noed as Wraith, 50/50 Pig, Mad Grit backpacking, Franklins and trapping/camping items, Bubba's basement, etc. Doing a couple games like that every once in a while where you just have fun and don't actively try to win is pretty stress relieving.
Hell, if even one survivor gives up their item to me or starts to meme in an otherwise serious game, I'll 95% of the time just stop trying and mess around for the rest of it. Treating the game as a game helps a lot to keep me going in it. We're not getting paid to play after all so have fun in anyway you can.

Not play that much killer to keep them in green ranks for killer, have two spare accounts since Xbox messed up making them my Xbox Live accounts, rename them for free because first change, then have two accounts in brown.
Play whatever I find enjoyable and strong on main at green, play literally anything I can in brown simply because.

I got good with Nurse. Maps matter a whole lot less when Nurse is involved. Otherwise, I adjust my expectations accordingly if I'm using an M1 killer. The mid to lower tier of the roster is super weak right now in the meta. Even B tier is rough.

You don't. You play a few games and then quit and play something else after a frustrating game.

Then go afk and watch YT for 5 mins. They get bored when you dont respond or fuel their trolling.

You intentionally lose a game every now and again.
Maybe you play Wraith and define a "win" as "the Rancor guy died".
Maybe you play Myers with the rule that "I'm not allowed to move until I'm T3".
Maybe you play Bubba and guard the basement chest above all else.
Maybe you play Legion.

Well if your a nurse main like me... You don't, the survivors team up and use party chat or discord and then they are 100% sure to constantly remain in contact on where you are and what your doing as if they have telepathy. Honestly I'm all for playing with friends but the whole outside source of communication is a bit rediculous in terms of this game... There should be an implementation on an in game voice chat that you can use (given you could only hear your survivor friends that are near, a good example would be something like VR Chat has) but until that is fixed... You will be teabagged, looped, pointed at and flashlight spammed as well as harassed in the chat afterwards for being a "POS killer" and all sorts of other fun things to be said...
The honest to Entity way (haha lol, see what I did there?) To have fun and not get stressed in my opinion is to remember that if your the killer... You've already lost, the devs have made this very heavily survivor sided (I mostly play killer, but I have some experience as a survivor and let me tell you, I still make more blood points dying alongside potatoes than I do hunting swf) and I see how easy it is to play survivor at higher ranks. You want to have fun? Remember it's a game and someone has to lose/win... So why ever try to win? Odds are that if your killer and you aren't playing dirty, it won't be you anyhow

Play one of the killers that shuts down loops like nurse, spirit, trapper, hag, freddy, etc.
I've been playing trapper and having a great time. I don't expect to win because I come in cheap on the add ons so I'm just having fun.

Come to the realisation that there is nothing YOU can do to win the game and that it is up to them to screw up.
Just enjoy the fact that you probably made more bp by losing using bbq then they did winning by gen rush.
It only takes 8 or 9 minutes for a single survivor to do 5 gens. There is zero excuse for the game to still be going by the 10 minute mark.

With your eyes closed; chances of having fun are better that way

Honestly I've stopped caring. 4 stacks of BBQ is a win for me. Why are you getting stressed out over things that are completely out of your control? Nobody's going to think that you should've won a match on Cowshed or Preschool against a SWF death squad. You shouldn't stress yourself out over the game screwing you over, it's not your fault so why even go to the trouble of stressing? Just chill and have fun.

I donβt get stressed as killer because it isnβt like the survivors can actually kill me. Plus a lot of times thereβs no need to kill them all if I have particular challenges in mind. If I complete a challenge in a round I consider it a personal win even if everybody escapes. I did what I needed to do.

I play both sides almost equally nowadays so for me I try not to let it get to me and look for crazy moves or techniques that are well executed but if I'm getting bullied a lot I'll just moonwalk around or spin in circles so they can't have their fun using my hag or doc as a punching bag. If it's a particularly awful trial I just go to the basement and go afk and get a snack or a drink to get away and calm down and hopefully they'll have their objective done and leave cause they can't bully the killer anymore.

don't be entitled to get 4ks every match and it becomes a lot less stressful. you can play casually and get 2-3k, and get 4k if you do extra good. and it's not end of the world if you get 0-1k because of course you sometimes lose if the survivors are better than you. that's what pips and ranks are for, you stay in the rank where you belong and rank up/down if you adapt or get rusty. it's not like killers should sweat and win every match and complain here if they lose one match. because the players who are better usually win, and there's always someone better and worse than you.
so in a nutshell, just play casually and don't expect to 4k every match. don't take it as a competitive game, just play casually and if survivors are toxic or something, ignore them and don't take everything so personally

and if you have a bad match, don't sweat and stress because what the hell it's just a game, not a life death situation. just move on to the next match, everyone has bad matches sometimes
0 -
Same here. I've had matches where I was getting crushed so bad that I just shook my head, rolled my eyes, and stood by the exit until it was powered so I can open it and get the match over. I always try my best, but there are times when you just know you stand a snowball's chance in hell..

Practice mainly. The game is quite frustrating for killers when you start off, but as you gain experience it gets less and less difficult as you'll find yourself naturally learning how to get survivors off gens and how to catch them at strong tiles. Also, with experience comes the knowledge that sometimes you'll outplay your opponent and sometimes you'll be the one who gets outplayed - knowing that makes it a lot less frustrating when you find yourself in a difficult spot during a match.

regarding your question, the answer is easy. I dont play killer anymore. Survivor only. Much less stressful, and actually enjoyable due to its easy-ness
0 -
View it as just a game.
That's how i've always done it, worked wonders after my burnout.
0 -
play survivor because "good" survivors will tell you that you're bad and that killer isn't bad whenever THEY play.
0 -
instead of focusing on hooking and killing, try to focus on maximize bloodpoints, smash as many booties as you can then it's a win for you. Play fair, no camping and tunneling, slug if you want. If you get 4K, extraordinary, if not, doesn't matter.

I just want to not feel like ######### because I downed one person and 2 gens popped immediately, even if I did get a 3k or 2k eventually

Just donβt follow the survivor rule book and playing killer gets a lot more enjoyable.

Killer is so stressful
The answer is... I quit killer
Recently got bullied by survivors so bad so many times in a row I installed the game.
Playing survivor is alot Easyer

Just delete the Dedicated Servers and DS, i think this will balance the game once at all... i play both side, and play surv is more relaxing: sit a gen (without the old ruin) and M1, a killer comes to you, loop and throw the pallet and slow him a little bit... then maybe u die but at least u did the pip or not lost... with killer you have to tryhard everytime, even if someone doesn't DC or does not have the DS, bc genrush is almost uncunterable with the most of killers

Play survivor = calm
Play killer = stressed

Play a lot of survivor.
Gather informations about what you found strong, smart, skilled but also what pissed you off ( that is replicable ) and what caught you by surprise and list all these things up.
Go back to killer and try the new things you've learned.
The fact that you are playing the lonewolf role can be satisfying in itself but it lacks collective data, multiple minds will always grant a handful of idea that you would have missed by yourself.
