PS4 Hacker Found ! Devs Help
Hi people of the Fog and Devs, i was playing has Killer Trapper when i found that player with a globe nickname and a perk that it doesn t exists in dbd. Looks like he hacked something form cross play... DEVS plz Help... This is why i don t want Cross play in this game...

Cross play would be amazing. Hackers are hackers. On every console.

Hackers dont exist on Ps4 and Xbox one. The hackers in dbd are PC players.

Also that perk would be awful on swf teams where they can afford to lose a survivor or two. It would make gen speeds 50 percent faster, not counting any previous progress or stacking on gens

That changes nothing of what I said.
Besides, they should root out the hackers and deal with them regardless. Not allowing crossplay JUST because pc can hack isnt a reason. If anything, cross play would just enable more awareness.

I almost don t play dbd to be honest, i am main killer but right now its impossible with this damn gen rush or gen speed repair.. If this game start get cross play i am done with the game i simply unistall the game and thats it...

Look at the leader boards for CoD and tell me PS4 and Xbox One don't have hackers. It may be harder for them to hack a console but it can still be done. I was a console player most of my life until I converted to the master race about 5 years ago. I saw plenty of hackers. You could easily spot them too. On xbox if someone's gamertag had 100-200 achievement points you can bet that's a hacker. Odds are they were banned before and had to make a new account. You get achievements for turning on the game. Brand new players would have more than that if they were truly playing the game.

I hope you sent an in game report about this. I also recommend sending a ticket to support as well for safe measure.

Not saying it can't happen, but pretty hard to hack the consoles. Apparently that perk exists as an unused perk and can only be obtained by hacking. It was an early version of left behind--for every survivor that escapes you get a speed action bonus of 7.5, 15 and 25% Frankly I like seeing the hatches better than the speed bonus. So yeah, I'd report the person.

I had a legacy billy the other night with that globe icon. He sort of sucked. Why hack just to play crossplay?

The ps4 hasn't been officially jail broken yet.. hackers and modders are not a problem on the current gen. The only cheats available are exploits in game depending on the title.
There is jail break / custom firmware available but it can only be used offline. Consoles with tampered firmware are unable to connect to online services.
However some PC players have found a way to connect to ps4 and xbox matchmaking with the new dedicated servers. This isn't the first post about this js

As for the "PC players hacking the game and playing against console players" part. I kind of want to see top tier console survivors go against a god nurse whose on pc >.>

How is it easy to somehow have their own crossplay? I have googled it and searched every mod forum and such a thing is top secret or non existent.

Servers dont require any verification, you can link yourself to the PS4 server with a PC without issues.
Crossplay icon is there because DBD on all platforms uses the same things, there is crossplay between steam other PC launchers, so the crossplay icon is on other platforms too

Behavior does not handle anti cheat, nor do they handle server protection, so I doubt they will do anything about it.

Imagine being a cheater and thinking you "win" when you escape. I think Tru described them best when he said they are people with a really competitive brain but have no skill to back it up so they feel the need to cheat.

Cheaters are everywhere. Consoles with Modchips, PC gamers with cheatware. It is a never-ending battle and there isn't much a person can do about it if the game does not have an active mod that observes a match. Im going to bet this game has about 5,000 active matches at any one point in time. I dont think they can spectate that many. :P

Nope, didnt find anything like that, I think it would be fairly hard to do without having technical knowledge.
Also I wouldnt reccommend this for a casual playing, as this is potentially banable, so you would be screwed if BHVR decided to do something about it.

Actually that not true when I played dbd early on ps4. before the whole clown update. a hacker went up to the top of a tree and spam the notification I didn't report at the time because I thought it was a game bug.
