OoO in the shrine, you're kidding.
What better way to make the game even more unfun for killers by adding OoO to the shrine at a time like this in Dead By Daylight. In my honest opinion, OoO needs a rework to something else.
I'm so glad I barely play killer anymore. I really wouldn't want to go into every game in fear of multiple OoOs. Seems like a buff to solo survivor.
Not only that, but the matchmaking is still #########. Do you devs really expect say a green rank killer to still potentially go up against higher-ranked survivors who have more time in the game and will most likely know how to loop well with OoO added on top? I think adding it to the shrine was a very bad move and will only hurt the game once survivors learn how to use it effectively.

Personally, I'm excited. 99% of the god OoO users already have and use it, so we're gonna have potatoes leading us to them

Just quit the game if the shrine is seriously a reason for you to complain about balance and crap on the Devs.
17 -
Lol @ every killer that complains about nerfed OoO.
How many stealth destorying perks and killers do you have now? Waaaah harder.
7 -
The perk has been out for like 3 years, right? Why are you worried about it being on the shrine when anyone worth their salt and enough hours already has the perk?
8 -
i'm curious.....how is OoO unfun for killers? you do realise that only 1 person can be obsession. correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm assuming because there can only be 1 obsession, that means that the perk will only work on 1 person right? and it also allows the killer to see where the survivor is anyway. and honestly, how often do you see OoO being used. yes its in the shrine but i suspect not many people will use it or it will be a novelty for a few days then everyone will be over it.
if you think OoO is an issue then i'm surprised you don't think MYC or IM are an issue also or unfun for a survivor. both put you in exposed effect and basically alert the killer where you are.

I'm curious...how is OoO unfun? only 1 person can be obsession also the killer can see where that survivor is anyway. yes its in the shrine but i don't really see people using it or if they do then i feel like it will be novelty for a few days then no one will care about it. a lot of people probably already have it and don't use it as it is.
if you find OoO unfun then i'm surprised you aren't saying that MYC and IM are unfun for survivors. both of which put you into exposed effect and pretty much alerts the killer where you are. killer can insta down you.
if you are worried about your obsession knowing where you are, then target them first. if they know where you are then you know where they are.

What a petty @ killers lmao.
So what if it's on the shrine, the perk has been out for years, with DS being such a popular perk it being on the shrine is just free 150k BP ez monis.
Also imagine not playing stealth killers that absolutely destroy this perk
3 -
It’s a perk that’s existed for 3 years. Move on and get over it.
1 -
If ya'll just complain about the game so much why even play it
4 -
Addiction.
1 -
There's an easy solution. Uninstall. And no, this isn't meant to be rude or an insult.
The game For Honor made me do thing I'm not too proud of, but I was pretty addicted.
You know how I overcame it? By uninstalling. Haven't played it since. No regrets.

The Shrine is randomised. It's not an anti-killer conspiracy.
16 -
I agree

most of the times its just pepegas and when they use that perj its actuelly good you know where they are pepega

Against good teams and loopers? You mean, teams that already have OoO? Let alone that OoO also gives the killer information on where the obsession is, while also having perks available like Discordance, Surveillance and BBQ that all give information on survivors across the entire map. OoO is pretty much the only survivor perk that gives information. The only reason its strong, is because of 3rd party programs. You'd really need a full SWF to truly use OoO in the first place. Let alone that there are Blindness addons and even The Third Seal, which, I agree is indeed a very situational perk, but if you truly fear OoO, its quite a useful counter to it, especially since hunting hex totems isnt really done much early game unless absolutely necessary. The fact that Hex mechanics need changing is a whole different issue. Personally, I think that Hexes should be reapplied to dull totems(with the exception of NOED and Haunted Grounds), perhaps even giving the killer the option to rebuild destroyed totems, as many of the hex totems arent really worth the risk of running. Having the capability of spending 5 seconds reapplying a hex to a totem and 5 seconds rebuilding a totem(meaning you'd need to spend 10 seconds total if all totems are destroyed), while having the effects last(meaning if you have 5 stacks on devour hope, you can reinstate it on another totem to your own choosing). With the only real counter to that being destroying all totems and following the killer if you think he/she will rebuild a totem.

"We should improve this game somewhat."
"And yet you play it. How curious. I am very smart."
1 -
Yeah but we haven't had DC penalties for those there years.

i'm gonna use it only because you mentioned it and reminded me of his existence, thx
0 -
Ugh, bruh, have you ever heard of voice comms in SWF?
Now everyone has OoO.

While I agree that OoO needs to be changed, complaining about it being in the Shrine is high level BS.
Its random. Nothing can be done about this. Furthermore, the majority of people will have OoO, since DS is a Perk of Laurie as well and I guess a lot of people will have Laurie, especially since she/her Perks are out for so long, belong to one of the most popular Franchises and at least DS is a very good reason to buy the Chapter.
So I guess if you need to complain about OoO in the Shrine, you have it pretty good. If all people in this world would have this kind of problems, it would be a pretty ok world.

The devs don't set the shrine; it's random.

A PERK I DON'T LIKE IS ON THE SHRINE?????? YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO PAY FOR IT????
Uninstalling.
4 -
Dont think Ive ever had a problem with OoO. Most players who use it overestimate there chase abilities and any killer worth their salt will be able to easily capitalise on it.
0 -
I like it, i can easily spot where they're going in loops thanks to my cloaked mode.
0 -
OoO is two eyes and a nose in the middle.
Point made. :p
3 -
I'm not kidding c:<
0 -
I've known this for a long time, and 99.9% agree, the second o is actually a gasp UuU
1 -
All 4 survivors can see you if everyone runs it. It only makes one person the obsession. And unless you have undetectable, or the survivor(s) with it are in your terror radius, they can't see you. So unless you're playing a stealth killer(Ghostface, Pig, Legion with Iridescent Button, etc.), all eyes will be on you. It's especially bad if you're someone like Trapper, Huntress, Hag, or maybe even Deathslinger, you're less likely to get traps/land hatchets/hit spears, etc.
2 -
1. Not much of a difference weather your the obsession or not
2. It's mostly used amoungst swf so they can get information. Killers location, what the killer is doing. This perk especially unfun for Trapper and Hag because they can see where you placed the trap and disarm them
1 -
Imo OoO needs a cooldown
0 -
Then do so, and stay there.
If you're willing to DC because you dont like a part of the game you're playing, KNOWING it's in there, you're just going in knowing you may ######### over 4 people because you cant handle tougher than ezpz situations.

I made a OoO rework, but not many people noticed it sadly
"Object Of Obsession: This perk in its current state is so highly rewarding in SWF that it hurts as killer to be facing OoO. This perk will no longer reveal the killers aura....yet. Object Of Obsession will activate when going down, when going down and being hooked the killers aura is revealed to everyone for 4/5/6 seconds, BUT after being unhooked, you will now have your aura revealed to the killer for 8/7/6 seconds when unhooking survivors."
You are not the only one who hates OoO, but this can make the perk better

*Laughs in Omega blink Nurse main*
Yes. More OoO users.
2 -
Laughs in Scratched Mirror Michael
2 -
Oh no, OoO is in the shrine, this is the end of the world!!!!
Entitled baby killers need to stop complaining about every bullshit, its getting old.
1 -
It works on multiple if others have it they’re not the obsession but it still works on it
0 -
The issue with OoO is SWF, OoO gives out alot of info early to an SWF.
But try to keep a conversation civil
1 -
Yes, it does. And it is in the shrine. Those devs are so mean to killers... Mean enough someone opend a thread about OoO beeing in the shrine. Sorry if my comment was a bit harsh, but i am running out of empathy for killers slowly but surley if they keep complaining about every possbile nonsense.

Stealth killers trump OoO
0 -
And BBQ and then Hex Ruin back to back a number of months ago was perfectly fine though right?

I have experienced glitches with this perk with a huntress in kyf. Aura was reading even when we were 5 feet from each other giving my location. Killers can also (without this glitch) use this perk for a advantage. I have seen this done b4 by a friend in kyf. You got to establish a plan for said perk when a survivor is using it. I mean is it fair that a killer chooses a map and can see you through walls? Yes! Because its a survival game and you work with builds to see what works for you and just do the best you can. Its really not a perk used a lot by survivors either tbh. I rarely see it. Also as far as lobby times go. Day time seems to have fast lobbies where night is a much longer. Trying getting some hours of daylight play.

So many survivors on this thread jeez. I bet y'all would flock to the forums if it did get nerfed huh? LuL
1 -
I don't think this is an issue. object is horrible because the 1 percent of players you encounter using it are usually really damn good. Have you ever gone against someone using it who is not good at looping? It's laughable really. Most survivors are not that good which is the only reason we can win games as clown etc. So if more people start using object it is going to be gg ez

OoO isn't an easy perk to casually use. It's going to lead to more deaths than anything else.
0 -
Exactly
0 -
Wow there. This isn't a place for sense.
2 -
I wouldn't be so afraid of OoO being in the shrine if I was you. New survivors will use it incorrectly and allow a blood bath to happen.
0 -
OoO was never nerfed.
0 -
It doesn't work on Tier 1 Myers. Night Shroud Ghostface, a cloaked Wraith, or a crouching Pig. It used to work on them. So it was indirectly nerfed.
0 -
Then target the person that has it which is usually what happens anyway. And even if that person is in SWF it’s no different if that person is in SWF and isn’t running OoO. SWF communicates regardless if someone is running that perk and at least one of the survivors know where the killer is most of the game anyway because the objective is to kill everyone before survivors escape.
I can be in SWF without OoO and still tell people where traps are or where I saw the killer place one or where the killer is. If you have kindred then you know if the killer is camping etc..
my point is, If you’re in SWF, regardless if someone is running OoO or not you are still communicating so there’s OoO really doesn’t make a difference.
