Can we have dedicated servers turned off for a bit?
I can't keep dealing with this lag, it never has been like this before. Especially for killer because it was my own connection which is a good one giving the survivors I played with a good time as well as me. Now I'm walking into walls as survivor being teleported everywhere and as killer i am just barely making it to the hook because I keep getting teleported back to my original location.
It's not like this all the time but on the most part it is

Yeah I miss it being peer to peer. Sure I got a couple really bad matches, but overall it was a lot more consistent and fluid under that system.

Ikr, and all the super laggy matches I would just leave or kms on hook. I know they gotta run tests on it but it should be only a few games where they test dedicated servers at a time then give u some enjoyable games with a stable connection

Nope, my internet can’t handle killer so dedicated have allowed me to play killer finally

Just get wired connection, it's not very difficult to do

I cant I live in a tiny town where I couldn’t buy a cabels and amazon doesn’t deliver here, plus I would need a expensive 20 foot cable

Dedicated makes chases almost impossible and since i can't fully tell when I'm about to lag backwards or somewhere completely different, it makes the game unplayable and fuels a crazy kind of hate when my internet is barely chugging anything. random lag spike ive never experienced before, then i leave and get a nice big d/c penalty for hoping it would be different next game! nope! I find another way to lag! I wonder what else i'll ######### run into today. I'm wired and everything but i just can't wrap my head around making players connect to a central server instead of leaving the lobby before hand to leave a potential laggy ass game. Another reason i feel stuck playing a dead game(for me).

If you are a survivor and you are in a lobby with bad ping just leave and reque
With dedicated you have no choice but to play or quit the game until they do something

Your ######### connection still effects games as killer. Dont know where this misconception comes from. Dedicated hasn't really fixed anything.

Survivors are actually better off on peer-to-peer. Because no 3rd party servers means the actual interaction latency between killer and survivor is shorter, which means less bullshit hits at windows and pallets.
Peer-to-peer was a win-win for both sides.

Dedicated servers are needed they just have been configured quickly/poorly.
Game play should not be going through another computer, you'll never match a direct connection to the other players computer.
Hosting lobbies, monitoring, reporting disconnects/cheating/stats should all be done on dedicated servers.
There is a question as to why dedicated servers are based in another country which is less important but when outsourced shouldn't be happening

When I play as killer I don’t have any lag (even with 200+ ping on further servers, I usually get a stable 64 ping on EU servers)
the problem is when you are playing as survivor and go against a laggy killer..
he hits you through pallets and when you just vault a window and are far away..

But there where also matches that where fine and played far more consistently and fluidly then dedicated servers, which are constantly laggy and buggy.
