Is slugging the last survivor holding the game hostage?

This is a debate I had with a friend and curious to hear others thoughts. So, playing both sides, is it reportable offense if you stay at the exit game during the end game collapse? Is it also a reportable offense for killers to slug the last person until the last possible second before bleeding out? I feel killers have the advantage over survivors when it comes to holding the game hostage as the survivor will die no matter what if they wait during the end game collapse or get slugged. If the survivor is waiting at the exit gate, the killer just downs them and they can move on. However, if the killer slugs the last survivor and picks them up at the very last second before hooking them, isn't that holding the game hostage when they could have done so even after the DS timer? I also hate having my time wasted waiting for my friend to die when the killer is just hovering over their slugging body. I'd rather have the killer pick my friend up and kill them so we can all move on to the next match. It takes longer for the bleed out timer to expire than the end game collapse. When solo, I would hate to wait for my bleed out timer to be the last possible second and then get hooked. When playing killer, I would just "escort" the survivors so I can move on to the next game. In the end, I'm upset either way at having my time wasted. However, it's worse being the survivor being slugged than the killer "escorting." But, I do not think either side is reportable. Again, curious about thoughts and I'm pretty sure where they would lean.

Since the game can end (either the guy bleeds out or he recovers somehow and escapes) it is not taking the game hostage. If you are hanging around the exit gate, still not taking the game hostage as the EGC will eventually force them out or they will die. If you wait until the very last second to pick them up and then hook them, again not holding the game hostage as once you hook the last survivor they die and the game ends. None of what you described would ever been acted on.

No, they bleed out if not hooked or healed

My thoughts exactly. I've had a game where the killer blocked a survivor in one of the rooms on the second floor of Haddonfield or Badham Pre-school. But, that was a loooooong time ago and before end game collapse or the report system. The survivor eventually DC'd as me and the other two survivors did the gens and gates.

No because it provides that’s survivor the chance to find the hatch, and if not the hatch, it gives them the chance to gain points in survival and boldness by avoiding the killer.

the developers will hopefully return to looking at end game for a single slugged survivor to see if there is a way to make that end part more enjoyable, or maybe provide a “bleed out quicker” button or something. But in the end it forms forms a time limit and provides both sides the opportunity to gain points.

I would love a fast bleed out timer option if being slugged to the last possible second while the killer is hovering over me longer than a DS CD.

Neither of these are holding the game hostage

Depends honestly. Some killers just make it overboard and slug survivors making the game extend for simply TO MUCH time. Played against a Pig once that basically just kept slugging a random and me and the game lasted for almost an hour( she took about 20 minutes on killing the other two) we both knew were the hatch was. I simply got bored and once she downed me for the third time in that slugfest she was pulling. I Dc’ed ,Dwight escaped and l got hate mail by the killer for just getting absolutely bored with this cheesy strat. It’s just annoying and cheap and it can somewhat be considered taking the game for hostage since the bleed out time is so excruciatingly long.

BTW this was before endgame collapse was a thing.

I really think that slugged survivors should be able to escape still even if killer stomps on the hatch. They would be able to do this by automatically opening exit gates once hatch gets stomped on, or let slugged survivors pull themselves up to open gates themselves. Besides, I really Want One of those “you shouldn’t have gotten so cocky” moments more often. Don’t leave me on the ground for your own needs and wants out of the match. It’s my time your wasting here.

everyone Deserves a chance at all times to be some kind of threat whether it’s escaping or fighting back in any way. Feeling hopeless isn’t why I paid money for a video game. And I don’t appreciate it in this one. Especially a game that keeps asking for more money for clothing, characters, perks and whatnot. It’s nonsense. It’s not fun for the survivors to get smacked around as I’ve seen it happen and have their time wasted by people playing killers holding their earned bloodpoints Hostage like that. It’s childish and I won’t spend another dollar on this game until I see some improvements on survivor side of things. Add a suicide option for crying out loud. Give us a way out that doesn’t include killer abusing other people’s time where we could actually benefit from that too. Honestly I could care less. Give us a way out before killers abuse our time that’s all.

I don’t think adjusting bleed out time to make it shorter is what I’m saying either - I feel as though as a survivor if at any point you feel your time is being consumed by the killer just commit suicide option should appear once in dying state. Otherwise let slugged survivors crawl their damn way out if they can make it. Hatch closed ? Just Crawl out

It should be an option to use if you have been slugged for over...90 seconds. My reason:

    1) DS is a 60 second CD max. This gives the killer an extra 30 seconds if they feel that the survivor has DS and the survivor can't use the fast bleed out option right away after the DS CD.

    2) If the killer is BMing the survivor(s) by slugging them, survivors shouldn't have to waste their time sitting there for the whole bleed out timer. I'd rather want to move on to the next game especially if I get crows on my head and not getting picked up.

No, there would be less killers then there already is, if you could get banned for slugging lol it's pretty much the point of infectious fright, well I think that's the point of the perk lol. It's annoying for sure, maybe it could get a ban on the right situation, say Killer and another survivor are just standing over your slugged body waiting for you to die, kinda like working with the killer, but I guess that all depends on the slugged players ability to get annoyed so quick lol
