Legion Rework discussion (again)
Why should Legion get a rework?
Legion is supposed to be a killer that sucks in 1v1, but gets a lot of value in 1v4.
Up to this point, EVERY Legion failed to meet these requirements. Old Legion could bully 1 survivior until he bleeds out, new Legion cant get even 1 down even if he hit every survivior during frenzy.
So what is wrong with Legion right now?
- His power is not a threat. There is literally no reason to mend, you can just genrush until you are running out of the timer. You can see videos of Legions getting 20 frenzy hit combo and COMPLETELY NOTHING happens.
- He gets no pressure from his power. There is no reason to heal either. This is why such a weak perk like Thanatophobia is used on him, his power is so useless that you need to pressure surviviors to heal using external sources. Not that it really forces them to do anything, the debuff is not much.
- His power does not help in chases. You go to a survivior, frenzy to catch him, hit him, EAT THE 4 SECOND STUN and then chase him with your normal speed again. It would be eaaier to M1 normally... Not to mention m1 reduces your power meter... Of course you need to be careful here, we dont want to give Legion 1v1 buff, only 1v4 buff, as mentioned in point 1.
- His power is too easy to miss. Opposite from many people say, I think that losing frenzy on miss is fine. BUT, AIM DRESSIMG MAKES YOU MISS FRENZY HITS AND THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
So how do we fix Legion? Lets start with the least crazy ideas:
- Reduce Frenzy cooldown (fatigue) for every hit while in Frenzy. Simple buff in 1v4 situation, does nothing to 1v1 situations. So basically getting multiple frenzy hits will reward you with an easier post frenzy chase. Seems fair to me, it rewards skill and camt be abused
- (No, just removing "lose frenzy on miss" and "lose 50% power on M1 hit" wouldnt fix anything)
- FIX HITBOXES AND REMOVE AIM DRESSING. Self explanatory. Less bullshit Frenzy misses = slightly stronger Legion

4.LEGION REWORK IDEA
- On Feral Frenzy hit give a Frenzy token to a hit survivior.
- Hitting anoher survivior with FF will apply another token to every survivior that already has a token.
- Leaving FF in any way will erase all tokens.
- Mending will erase all tokens applied to that survivior
- Once survivior reaches 4 TOKENS he will SCREAM and will be applied "Deep Deep Wound" status effect (temporary name)
- When a survivior who has "DDW" status effect gets hit with Feral Frenzy attack, HE WILL BE PUT IN A DYING STATE.
EXPLANATION:
- Scenario 1, no one mends: You hit survivior A with FF. Nothing visible happens, but token is applied. Without leaving FF you find and hit survivior B. Now A has 2 tokens, B has 1. Then the same way you hit survivior C. Now its A:3, B:2, C:1. Then you hit survivior D. So now its A:4 B:3, C:2, D:1. Survivior A screams. You find and hit him with FF. Survivior A is now downed. Now B has reached 4 tokens. It repeats until everyone is downed. OMG SO OP. Please read point 2.
- Scenario 2, SOMEONE mends: You hit survivior A, go for, B, C, D, BUT in the meantime, survivior A mends. So now its A:0, B:3, C:2, D:1. So now, to apply DDW, you HAVE to find survivior A AGAIN. Once you find him, its A1, B4, C3, D1. Everything repeats, BUT the whole OP cycle is paused once someone mends, and is completely destroyed if Legion runs out of Frenzy.
- So, how do you counter this OP #########? 1. Spread out. If Legion cant get 4 hits, then nothing happens. 2. Mend and run away. Buys you time to run away like in 1. 3. Stun the Legion. Simple as that.

First this isn't really a rework it's more like a revert back to old legion which I'm ok with.
Second this forum will probably be placed into another category since it not part of general discussion range.

- Well its not reverting back, ots quite different and cant be abised in 1v1, it also requires you to hit ALL 4 SURVIVIORS IN ONE FRENZY. If they mend, you will need even more hits.
- No, this post is mainly about "why Legion should get a rework" my ideas are just an addition. I even put the "full rework idea" in the comment, because its not the most important thing.

Legion doesn't need a rework! I love playing this killer the way he is (at this point im gonna say i do play at red ranks before anyone says im probably like rank 15 and my opinion doesnt count) Applying deepwound to more than 2 survs is really enjoyabke and satysfying. After putting some time into this killer i really do think he's fine. You will know when it's worth trying to catch up certain surv with FF and when to chase someone who you have just hit with FF. Very good thing about Legion is that hes short, witch really helps in mindgames more than you think (where mindgames are a big part of this game). Often survs dont heal making hook rescues very hard for them, resulting in hook trades. I really don't know why ppl think he's unplayble. Maybe they are using a bad perk setup? Then i will recomend mine.
Corrupt intervention
Absolutely nessesary. Prevents 2 gens poping within 2 mins into the game. Corrupt make survs be closer to each other with benefits Legions power.
Spirit Fury & Enduring
I run this combo because you never respect pallets. Often survs are too greedy with allows you get a free hit. Sometimes when you have you spirit fury active and a surv is runing to a pallet and you know you will get a hit for sure. Wait till surv will get to the pallet (but not close enough to allow him to drop it) hit them, and they may stun you witch will result in downing them almost immediately
The last perk is your choise. If youre starting to learn i would recommend NOED for obvious reasons. If you are more experienced. Pop goes the weasel is perfect choise.

Exactly! But my point is that even if you get 28 HITS DURING ONE FRENZY, you still get absolutely NOTHING. You still get 4 second stun, surviviors can still mend, they can stil do gens, your downing potential doesnt increase at all.
The change ideas I came up with are based on a fact that Legion is fun against multiple surviviors, and that shouldnt change. All they do is increase the reward that Legion gets for REALLY SKILLFULL PLAYS.
Because currently Legion has a very low effectiveness even at high skill. Very good Clown can end chases quicker by throwing very good bottles and disabling loops, very good Legion can get 28 hits in one frenzy amd gets nothing from it.

Nothing? Survivors are injured. They need to mend witch wastes them 12 seconds and then they need to heal. If they decide not to then:
-They are easier to track
-They are down in one hit in any point of the game
I mean, what more do you expect if someone stays injured? To have slower gen repair speed? How does billy benefit if the people stay injured? Maybe you shloud make a thrad about him then.

Legion doesnt have enough power or mobility to benefit from surviviors being injured.
Billy can use sprint as mobility tool and then M1, to immediately catch surviviors in deadzones, to break pallets, etc. Plague has corrupt purge that will destroy injured surviviors. Legion cant use his power for that because of the 4 second cooldown.

I play Legion at Rank 1. I 4K'd 25 games in a row with him. I do not think he is a good Killer, here is why.
Firstly, if the Survivors do not heal, you have no power. Legion's power is supposed to be mild slowdown, however, if the Survivors decide to push gens, Legion is in a bad spot.
Secondly, as you pointed out, if they do not heal, they are one hit. However, Legion isn't stealthy. He has a 32m TR. That gives injured Survivors plenty of time to run to a loop, which he has no way of cutting short.
Thirdly, he has no map pressure. I have not met a single person who uses Feral Frenzy to traverse the map. Why? Because FF removes scratchmarks, blood, gives you a 4 second stun and darkens your screen. To top this off, it isn't even that fast.
Finally, his chase potential is limited. If you are using FF to injure people, it works very well. It is possible to outplay the Legion, but he does have the advantage. If you stay injured and simply loop him though, he is a pure M1 Killer. He has no stealth or chase ability to cut loops short.

My problem with legion is that his most fun part is when he goes really fast!
And I'm actively punished for it with a big stun, a slow cooldown and immediate stun should the janky hit detection go off because some survivor skittered infront me like a glitch. God forbit the servers even lag for a second. His power is worthless if survivors split up and does very little to injured to survivors. In legion defense despite being F tier he does have decent injury pressure and he can synergies alright with things like blood echo. His frenzy vaulting also has never did me well. I noticed most of the time his vaulting is so slow that my frenzy charge will run out before I catch up close enough to strike.
When legion first got released he had this...mixed message.
His trailer shows him as sneaking up right close to another survivor, looking like one himself, which gives the idea he was going to be stealthy to some extent. He was showing running about, giving the idea he was going to be fast. Both of these concepts are fun. A killer that can pass itself off as a survivor....or a killer than just...FAST...for once?
But nope.
We got neither. His terror radius defeats anyone mistaking for a survivor unless you run...maybe...tinkerer...and that's it.
And his speed between the stun, the so limited timer and the injury only power kind of ruins it.
I just want a fast killer.....legion originally was built to be a stab happy fast killer but because the maps are SO barren he was OP. If the maps actually had something besides pallets and loops he would of been great. But because survivors couldn't do much agaisnt him...and when they do could legion couldn't much agaisnt them. He was effectively blunted to this....unfun of slap and trail.
I guess the rework idealy I would want is.
Legion is always in frenzy-or at the very least frenzy last for a long, long time.
Frenzy Legion terror radius is even bigger but non frenzy legion terror radius is even smaller. Allowing him to jump scare when he breaks into one.
Frenzy legion killer instinct range is very short and he has less add ons to affect it nor make it too far.
When Frenzy legion downsomeone he exits frenzy WITHOUT a stun. His power has a very slow recharge until he can enter it again.
Frenzy legion mechanic will be reworked for the chase. Not the mend timer. Maybe the longer he is in a chase without getting a hit his power gauge goes down. Hitting someone fills it back up to the top.
Neither normal nor frenzy legion can break pallets. Normal legion vault is much slower than frenzy legion.
Frenzy no longer inflicts deep wounds. Frenzy Legion attack has a longer cool down. It is during this cooldown that killer instinct is active. Killer instinct deactivates when the cooldown is finished.
Theses are all big changes...but...no one wanted a killer who can pressure a small gaggle of survivors some injured status. We wanted a fast killer who is good with chases. That's it. There's nothing wrong with having a killer...who's mechanic is based around being fast...being just....fast!
We need more killers that promote survivors to want to stealth anyway than just pallet tour and loop.
