Escaping with Reverse Bear Trap
Why was a survivor able to escape with an activated trap through the exit gates?

It doesn't activate unless a gen goes off AFTER it is placed.
Otherwise, it is a bug.

It was placed before. I even took them to the gate to see if they would leave so i could see the animation kill but they just ended up escaping. I noticed too that the bear trap timer sped up as i brought them closer to the gate...

If you brought them right next to the exit where the entity blocker is it wouldn't kill them, there is a line where the trap triggers, you can carry the Survivor over that line and it wouldn't kill them.

It been like this before. If they physically go toward it they died. You cannot carry them across it.

Yup, an imaginary line near the second set of brick pillars. If you drop them off your shoulder on the other side of that imaginary line, it's a free escape. If you drop they right on it (hard to do), when they hit their feet, it's an instant trap pop. Survivor can't avoid it going off.
