Dead Hard can replace DS
Dead Hard pretty much prevents you from being slugged right after an un-safe hook, when you use it right.
And if the Killer has to chose who to chase 9/10 times they'll pick the person who hasn't been hooked than tunnel the person who has been.
Decisive is usually only necessary when the Killer is proxy camping because the unhook is injured and easy to slug, but a well timed Dead Hard prevents that (it's actually a god-send for getting out of the basement when your teammate doesn't have BT)

Or the killer easily baits the dead hard and the survivor goes down anyway.
Not a good replacement at all.

Dead Hard is one of the more balanced abilities in the game because the Killer has to swing. Whether or not you get faked out is your fault

Dead hard is really just useful for on demand distance gain if you screw up with dedicated servers.
I find about 50% of the time I try use the i-frames from it the perk goes off and I am exhausted but I go down anyways

@Might_Oakk Believe me. We've all been there getting hit with the exhausted Dead Hard notification is par for the course. Kinda like getting hit through pallet stuns. But when Dead Hard works, its awesome. For me its like maybe 20% of the time when it gets dedicated so its more do-able

Dead hard is strong because you can make distance with it and make it to windows or pallets you wouldn't otherwise.
Dodging hits with it doesn't work most of the time because of dedicated servers and killers can bait it easily , no matter how good the survivor is. I am not good at killer and even I can do that.

The killer doesnt have to swing at all.
They simply bait it, it's the most counterable thing in the game. Not to mention that it's now labelled "Dedicated" Hard

Uhh Dead Hard is trash. It doesn't work half the time. Even when it does it's a one off. The killer isn't falling for it twice.
