Archive Challenge Ideas!
Let's give some of our own ideas for Archive Challenges. Creating a bunch of challenges without a lot of them being repeats seems difficult to me. Maybe by providing some challenges from the community, we can see a good shift in challenges for the future!
Here are some ideas of my own. I'd also like to see what everyone else comes up with!
Killer
Unorthodox - As (current featured killer), sacrifice 2/3/4 (increasing as the Tome levels increase) survivors to the Entity while only using teachable perks from other killers. Must be done in a single trial.
Access Denied! - After closing the hatch, sacrifice the last remaining survivor X amount of times.
My House! My rules! - Down a survivor in an area where you have broken down a wall. Must be done in a single trial.
Apex Predator - Down a survivor as they're vaulting through a window or over a pallet X amount of times.
Mind Games - Sacrifice 1 survivor to the entity after opening the Exit Gate yourself.
Survivor
Utility Belt - Fully use up 1/2 items that you acquired after a match has started. Must be done in a single trial.
Excessive Force - Use a pallet to save a survivor from the killer's grasp X amount of times.
Vault Master - Successfully avoid a basic attack by jumping through a window or over a pallet 1/2/3 times. Must be done in a single trial.
Risky Rescuer - Unhook X amount of survivors from the basement. Must unhook them safely.
Eye for an Eye - Help a survivor escape the killer's grasp by allowing yourself to be knocked into the dying state 1 time.

Hell no to Access Denied and Mind Games. The first one relies way too much on RNG and the second one is only doable if you let all five gens go (you can't close the Hatch to start the EGC and open the gate). I hate challenges that heavily rely on RNG or require you to basically lose the game.
Eye for an Eye sounds like it'll be a huge pain in the ass to get, especially when perks like Mad Grit, Iron Grasp, and Agitation exist and the Killer can just decide not to chase after you.
Excessive Force is going to be annoying to get because Killers check to make sure no one's going for a save and the timing isn't the easiest to get down. Making it like 1 or 2 saves and not in a single game would be ok.
Risky Rescuer is also going to be annoying because Killers aren't always in range of the basement and getting unhooks can be really competitive. You might leave your gen and run to the basement only to realize that someone else got there first, meaning you just wasted your time. Finishing the normal unhook challenges is already bad enough. This is just going to be hell to finish.
Your other ideas are fine though.

Tainted Meat: Hook all 4 survivors in the same hook once
Lucky: Find an item with green rarity or higher using plunderer’s instinct
Patient: Down a survivor without lunging at them.
12 -
Keep em bleeding - have all four survivors in Deep Wound status at any one time
Don't bother mending... - reapply deep wound to a survivor who has mended during current duration of Feral Frenzy
Keep em sick - have all four survivors in Broken status at any one time
3 -
I mean... They're called "challenges" for a reason.
3 -
One for you - Drop an Item which another survivor escapes with.
Hands off - Use Franklins Demise to make the same survivor drop 2 items in a single match.
Over and out - Escape a chase 3 times using dance with me or quick and quiet
No time to die - Survive until the exit gates are powered 5 times.
Don't wanna miss a Feng - Don't miss a single skill check and escape 3 times using the perk Technician.
Fault Regression - Cause survivors to miss 5 skill checks in a single game.
Slow and steady - Hit 30 good skill checks.
A Safe Place - Hide in a locker to block your aura being read 4 times in a single match.
Totem Patrol - Using Detectives Hunch destroy 3 totems in a single match.
Over here - Use a map with a glass bead to mark a generator which you finish to other survivors 2 times in a single match.
No pain No gain - Achieve max stacks of autodidact 3 times.
Pallet resistance - Use Enduring and be stunned 10 times.
DESTROY! - Destroy 8 pallets or breakable walls with your secondary attack (chainsaw, shred, Oni smash etc.) In a single match.
Silent but deadly - Hit a survivor shortly after coming out of undetectable 15 times.
Cold Shoulder - Accidentally sandbag a teammate 8 times in a single match

The Challenges We Need
Sportsmanlike: Say "gg wp!" in the end game chat 2/4/6/8 times.
Spreading The Love: Commend another player 4/6/8/12 times.

Challenges also need to be fun. Look at the first Tome for example. The Dark Sense, Six Feet Under, and EGC challenges were not easy but they also were not fun to attempt, so most players hated them. Do you honestly think players are going to have fun getting downed over and over just to complete Eye for an Eye or play a hundred Killer games just because they had bad Hatch RNG? Do you think they'll want to throw a game and possibly ruin one Survivor's fun completely just to complete Mind Games?

Self-Sufficient: Fully heal yourself 1 time and escape the trial.
I’ll Do It Myself: Fully recover from the dying state 1 time.
Guardian of the Gates: Have all other Survivors escape before you do using the Perk No One Left Behind.

God I hope they don't do some of these. Like "excessive force" use a pallet to save a survivor from a killer's grasp x amount of times. So much of that is out of a player's control. What are you supposed to do? Follow the killer around the entire time waiting for him/her to down a survivor conveniently next to a pallet and just pray that the killer doesn't bother looking around before picking up? It's obviously not impossible to perform a pallet save but how many games do you think it would take if you were actively trying? How much are you screwing the team by not actually working gens while trying to get in position to be nearby for a pallet save? This would be awful. Playing as a killer, I can say it is super rare for survivors to save another survivor with a pallet when playing against me. Like 1 in a 100 games type rare.
I think it's a good idea for players to submit ideas for challenges. I just hope everyone takes the time to really think about how those challenges would actually play out in the real world. Some ideas seem good on paper but then in practice they are terrible. Like that open the hatch with a key challenge. It doesn't seem too bad in theory. Then you see how people actually play the game while trying to get hatch escapes and it's just miserable. The guy with the key just going from locker to locker waiting for his team to finish enough gens and die so the hatch can spawn.

I'd like to see challenges that reward specific vaults (I know it's map dependant but whatever)
Or just vault x times in a chase
Or slide across x pallets in a chase
Those two are underutilized and could be fun.
Or mistake challenges.
Fast vault x times when not in the killers terror radius (It'll bring a challenge real quick)
Pick up an item another player dropped, sacrificed survivor items at the hook doesn't count. (encourages item trading)
Parlay - Drop an item when the killer is looking at you
Point x times
Crouch x times
Killer's kinda got all the bases covered from what I can tell. There's not really much you can actually do as a killer ironically enough. You find the survivor, you hit the survivor. Your entire kit has a lot less meme potential unless you're just naturally a memelord.

I loved the Ornithologist challenges in the first tome.
1 -
I feel like Hands off will be better with "HANDS OFF THE MERCHANDISE"
3 -
Honestly I want them to stop with the challenges and put that same effort into something longer lasting. More dailies or something, or killer perks like distressing in a way, that nerf you but increase your bloodpoint gains significantly.
Maybe challenge offerings that once you get in a blood web they can be re-used and not consumed, and unique to each killer. Like "Trap 5 survivors this game for 100% bloodpoints in devious awarded post game" as Trapper; or something like that.
3 -
Some ideas are interesting, others need major adjustments. Think of the player experience, too much RNG is bad. "The planets must be perfectly aligned" isn't fun and creates a challenge bottleneck where everyone gets stuck trying to do the same task. It also makes the challenges frustrating and not ultimately challenging. The Perk related ones are a cool way to introduce/force you to try new perks so these I love unless they condition too much RNG. Challenges can also be used to introduce players to foreign play styles and try behaving in new unfamiliar ways than the usual BM.
Safely Unhook a Survivor during EGC.
Use Bond to HELP a Survivor in an active Chase by getting The Killer's attention.
Engage a min 30s Chase with The Killer without using a single pallet.
After a Survivor is rescued, Chase after any Survivor other than the newly rescued one.
Hook every Survivor you down within 30s of putting them in the dying state during a single trial.
RNG Challenges:
While the Exit Gates are open, successfully cleanse NOED.
Successfully cleanse Hex: Devour Hope while suffering from the Exposed status effect.
The pattern is encouraging behavior that is more positive for each role and to get people to try to be less toxic and selfish. Also some education ones, like please cleanse Devour as soon as they get three tokens instead of healing and rescuing people to get close to Mori time.

Bold Commitment - Finish repairing a generator within 10 meters of the Killer.
Pretty Great - Hit 2 great skill checks in a row.
Savior - While using the perk No One Left Behind, unhook a survivor and have them escape the trial before you escape or die. (Unhook does not need to be in EGC, just so long as someone you unhooked during the trial escapes before you).

Thanks. I honestly would rather have one of my tougher ones than one of the tedious 'attain at least a gold emblem in chaser/devout 5 times'.
I don't mind a little difficulty as long as you can alter your build to take on a different playstyle to get them done.
I'm not a fan of all the challenges being 'escape as this character using this perk'
I've thought of a few more decent challenges so I might do a second list.
2 -
Not Again... - Pallet Stun the killer whilst injured 5 times.
Resourceful Recognition - Pick up 2 dropped pallets in a single match using Any Means Necessary.
ComboBreak - Destroy 5 pallets within 30 seconds.
Lifesaver - Unhook a survivor that's within 3 seconds of dying on the hook.
Come with me - Carry Survivors a total of 100m.
Death Death Revolution - Kill 2 survivors within the space of 20 seconds. (If Mori from the end of the first animation to the start of the next mori animation) or (from the point of a confirmed death hook rather than when the death animation completes)
A Staged Crime - As Jane complete 30 seconds of cooperative actions with another Survivor.
Medicinal Junkie - Loot 4 medkits in chests.
Deathwish - Survive for 10 total minutes with a broken key.
Time to Move! - As Bill finish Mending deep wounds twice in a single match.
Fukin ad enuff - As David King Flashlight blind killers for a total of 7 seconds.
Vigil-ante - Escape using the perk Vigil or Up the Ante.
Belly of the Beast - Unhook a Survivor in the basement 3 times.
Symphony of Agony - Have aftercare active for a total of 10 minutes.
Sketchy Picture - Consume a total of 6 Distortion tokens.

Maddening Mist - Use a mist offering in 3 trials and escape
I hold The Power - Use a map offering and survive the trial on that map
Don't Leave Me! - Use a shroud offering to start with one other player, both of you must survive
