Aren't DC penalties supposed to reset to 5min after a couple days?
Crashed for first time in 3 or 4 days. Played probably 50+ games in the 3 or 4 days since last crash where I'd gotten a 15min penalty.
I received a 15min penalty not 5min, I was under the impression it reset. Ps4 if that matters.

It would decay from 15 to 10 and then you crashed making it 15 again.... how’s that hard to understand?

There is no 10min ban. They escalate from 5 to 15 to XX. The 4 days in between should have reduced it to 0.
How hard is it not to comment on something you are completely ignorant of?

It's 15 minutes for 2 DC's within a 24 Hour Period.
It's 5 Minutes for your first DC, if you DC again within 24 hours, it will increase to 15 minutes.
Stop DC'ing and complaining about it on the forums.

A - I'm not complaining I am reporting a bug
B - I play a lot I crash every 30 games or so. People rarely intentionally DC where they can simply suicide on the hook nowadays fyi.

As a non-Dc Player ima big Fan of the penatly system! It doesnt solve entirely the behaviour of players, but it helps.
If you got Potatoe Internet, your problem. Its 2020, and even if its not "competitve"... its kind of competitve, so dont play such games with such bad internet.

Mmm you got me there, but your post says (3) to 4 days meaning it can decay to 5 then go to 15 then. So I got you 😉 it would have been 3 days and it decayed on the second. Why is it so hard to not be ignorant yourself.
Speaking of the 2 day mark seems that’s been edited out? I dont know what happened to the assumption of 2 days prompting my reply. Perhaps it was just a guess all along and if so I agree the dev should just announce the decay time.

DC penalty is exclusively targeted towards killers.
If a Survivor's having a bad time, they can kill themselves in under 10 seconds (or the killer is holding the game hostage, which is reportable/bannable) while the only thing a killer can do to get out of a game quicker without DCing is AFKing... which is, guess what, "Unsportsmanlike", and reportable!

Seriously though, he told you what was up. It decays, it doesnt reset.
You saying it's another 15 min ban means you're either fibbing about the time frames or what ban you were on, or even that you crashed and didnt DC.

Wow, the amount of people who flat out refuse to read and respond only to what they wanted to hear is depressing. His penalty should have completely reset over a 3 day period. Why this is so hard for so many people to understand is concerning. Whether he's lying is a different matter. Y'all should at least be able to understand what he's saying and respond appropriately if you want to pretend that your responses have any meaning.

Because i do support the penalty system. 3 days or not 3 Days, for me he could be perma banned, i couldnt care less about dcíng people, know how to fix the issue? dont dc. Very simple.

This wouldn't be the first time over the years when something wasn't working as intended and people didn't care then it showed up fixed in the patch notes a month or two later.

Okay so here is how it works as far I as I can gather.
copy + paste from another thread:
"First time: 5 mintues
2nd time: 5 minutes
3rd: 15 minutes
4th: 15 minutes
5th: 30 minutes
6th: 30 minutes
7th: 60 minutes"
So if you had DC'd 4 times then your last penalty would be 15 minutes. If you decay at a rate of one rank per day then yes, after a couple of days you can still DC and be right back at 15 minutes. It's easy to lose track of these kind of things. It could be 2 days 22hrs (which you would perceive as 3 days) between disconnects and you would go from rank 2 right back to rank 3 (15 mins). It seems more likely that you just lost track of them as opposed to it not working right. Regardless this is one of those topics that won't generate a lot of sympathy from players and your attitude doesn't really help either.

I thought the game tracked whenever a player unintentionally left the trial? Was that not right? There has been a few times where I got disconnected from a match at no fault of my own. I have very strong internet and occasionally I have noticed that this is the only online game that I play that disconnects me for no reason.
TC, I understand what you're saying but they have to close monitor intentional DC's versus the unintentional.

This is why I'm against the penalty. It's buggy, messy and not fit for this game. I feel like they shouldn't have rushed it and fixed the bugs and stuff. Plus it's way too harsh for a party game.
Example: Overwatch only has a penalty when you leave 7 matches, and it starts soft but then it soft-band you from joining for a few minutes, then gives you an exp penalty. All that increases with the number of bans and only decreases with games played on their entirety.
That seems like a much better system

I agree here. People who play a lot (including me) encounter many Crashes, bugs, hostage situations etc so it should be the same penalty like someone who plays 2 gamey per day and rage quits in both of them

They do decay, one level every 12 hour im pretty sure.
