About console bans.
Is it solely based on reports? Or do they have a way of seeing the BS that goes on? I am shocked to get on xbox today and encounter a DCing deranking killer. Like seriously?
I tried to warn them and I wasn't rude about it at all. They just acted like a single digit IQ person saying they don't care over and over. Wants to derank...but doesn't care that they will end up banned.
If someone is doing this. Will the issue take care of itself? Or do the players need to report them?
I don't even mind deranking killers. But dcing and deranking is complete selfish BS.

You have to actually report, yes. Otherwise the mods would be reviewing literally millions of rounds.
DCing has an automated system in place, however.0 -
Bans due to disconnecting are handled automatically. They specifically ask that this not be reported.

Good. The player base of this game....my god...
Just had a guy DC on his team early as killer. Then the 2nd person who was the obsession gave up and had me kill him. I had Dying Light. I couldn't resist it. I let the last guy to survive to do gens and go to the hatch. Simply because it was BS and impossible for me to lose at that moment and unfair.
To think ive been reported FIFTY times in the last 6 months for utter nonsense.

A little difference for console, since there is no endgame chat, players often get harrassed in DMs. Like on Steam for PC, we do not ban based on communication on other platforms (ie: DMs from other players on your PSN) If you are getting harrassed by private messages, please contact the according services. (Microsoft / Sony support)

What are the odds this would happen after I made this topic. I am going to have to quit playing this game because this is getting out of hand. Just having this game being the main one you play leads me to regular toxic situations nothing like today though.
Just played a match against a team that was really agressive at unhooks. One of those teams that acts like you're being a jerk if you don't ignore the fact someone went for a hook INSTANTLY.
2 of them message me my location. Then I get DDosed. I have NEVER been ddos before. EVER. Now I am worried about getting swatted or something.
What can I do about this? One of them actually seems to have their real name in their profile.

If the abuse happens outside the game, then you need to report them to the people responsible for that platform (Microsoft, Sony, Twitch, Twitter, whatever).
