Bubba's chainsaw should have a overheat mechanic.
So he can't just hold it ready on someone on the hook and it is impossible to save. As he holds the charge it eventually stops and there is a period of time he simply cannot use it. Not sure how this is not a thing with how his power is. This only time his power is in issue is when hes guarding the basement or a hook and no one likes him for it and its his iconic douche thing he does.

Bubba chainsaw is very weak compared to billy chainsaw, you can literally loop a leatherface the entire match if you are good enough and he have 0 map control. I don't see any reason to nerf his power.
If you are being camped you can still be saved with BT. If you are in the basement.. well bad luck. Try not to get downed there.

I am asking for a power that is made for face camping to have a limit on how long he can hold that charge at one time. It would not affect his normal gameplay at all you completely missed the point of my original post.

Same goes for you, my suggestion would not affect his normal gameplay at all. I am very aware of how weak he is but I am talking about the times he does have someone and can face camp without a chance at rescue. You cannot get a BT save against a camping bubba.

No, you are missing the point of Bubba. His one, and only real strength, is that he can guard hooks extremely well. Trying to change that shows that you don't understand his current, and sad, state of balance.
Even if your absurd change were to go through, bubba's would just sit next to the hook and start rev'ing when someone tries to go for the save. Adding an overheat mechanic wouldn't change anything.

Tell me how making it so he cannot infinitely hold his chainsaw ready to attack a real game changing nerf outside of stopping camping? When a bubba is going to saw your before your on a hook he gets up on you charges and immediately releases to down you he normally would never hold it down for long periods of time. I feel like you guys are trolling.

If multiple survivors attempted a save there would be a chance to get the save. Any killer can linger around a hook and stop 1 survivor from saving another or at least it's going to be a hook swap

Sadly that's the only thing hes good at. His power is based around camping specially in the basement with insidious. He should have a completely different power if you want him to be nerfed with a cooldown because that ruins his only strengh.

As for the multi-down... guess where the best opportunity to utilize that is? While camping a hook.

What make it different though? He can still stand in front of the hooked person, looking around for saviours. If he confirmed the saviour not faking a save, he charges up and boom, still down both of them.

Bubba can be stronger than people realize, but his kit is very weak. Limiting that more is not only a waste of time, but just not necessary.
A survivor can outrun his chainsaw if he doesnt charge it right behind him, windows are a major weakness of his, and even brushing against a wall is enough to make him tantrum... he doesn't need an overheat mechanic anyway.

I like this idea but as someone else said, he would need some buffs in return, something that makes him better in regular gameplay.

Leatherface is the worst killer when it comes to chases and map pressure but there is one thing he does excell at and that's camping. When a leatherface camps there is literally no "winning" for survivors. If they try to save they all get downed in which case they all get sacrificed and depip. If they just do gens and leave they still depip and get few bp. This is why leatherface is such an annoying killer for survivors. Not that he's strong but that his power is only good for camping and that's what most people use him for.
His power should be reworked. Not nerfed necessarily, but changed completely like Freddy was.

Don't know how multiple survivors is an argument to your nerf suggestion. Multiple survivors can still save someone, just one needs to stay hidden, another needs to take the down. The hidden one then needs to BT save while the chainsaw is on cooldown.
Btw, I even saw BT saves by an injured survivor giving himself styptic before and both get out of the basement. Sure, you need that rare addon to make such a play and that time I saw it, the saver needed to bait a hit because he was healthy before the save. But that was legendary play and would also be removed with your nerf.
And to add: his chainsaw is loud. You don't need Kinderd to tell everybody "pls go do gens to punish it"

So what if he just stands there instead? If he sees a survivor coming up he would just start charging his chainsaw, wouldn't he? By the time you rescued the hooked survivor he's got it fully charged and he's ready to down you... I don't think this change would affect the camping Bubba at all to be honest.

But that is directly related to how strong he is, and therefore, how he should be balanced. The only reason you might not want to acknowledge this is to prove your own argument for a mechanic that doesn't need to exist. Holding the chainsaw can be used to force a bad decision and having an overheat mechanic gets rid of the only mindgame potential of his power.
Bubba needs a rework, in all honesty, but limiting his normal kit is not the solution.
Besides, I forgot to add this, but @Deadeye has a point: If he continues to rev the saw, hes letting everyone know that he is in a chase or with a person. Everyone knows to work on gens then, since they are not in immediate danger.
If you would do it for Bubba, would you do it for Billy too, since he also has a chainsaw? Both rely on their chainsaws for their power, but billy is stronger just because he can also use his power to navigate the map at incredible speed.

Counter Idea: Overheating Bubba's chainsaw causes it to literally catch on fire. Burning survivors have their hook progress and bleedout speeds doubled, for maximum camping efficiency. That's right, we're doubling down on his camp potential. Think you can finish all the gens before this first guy dies on hook? Not anymore, gen-rushers.

You have a point but they can't do this to Leatherface without giving him something in return. His chase is too weak. If they buff the hell out of him in other aspects then I'd be fine with losing his camping aspect.
