I was using pinky finger to spice up and change my clown gameplay and noticed something, a Nea with the blackjeans and Checkeredshirt and Afro hairstyle (all free to use cosmetics) was able to get directly hit multiple times and the instadown was ignored

You gotta be on their ass after a direct hit, that exposed effect is not long.
