Nerfed versions of kindred and noed basekit

Hear me out here. So kindred basekit, but with 8m killer aura reading (Which is not increased with open handed) would improve the solo queue survivor experience a great deal, and also bring solo queue survivors a tiny bit closer to that of a SWF. Then the game can be balanced with this added information in mind.

Then noed, minus the speed boost would also incentivise survivors to cleanse and find totems, which will slow gens down. Also since everyone knows noed is in play, just make the exposed status be revealed once the final gen is done (or give a totem counter). Thus no one is caught off guard by the presence of noed ,which is a major source of frustration with the perk, and the gens are slowed. Everyone wins!

I agree that kindred can be very useful for solo survivors. Specially for new players. It won't damage having it basekit, so the real perk could be changed to something else or removed since its not character related.

About noed... while i agree that its infuriating when you get downed by it (and i include myself), it's the survivors fault entirely for not cleanse them.. and giving a totem counter its too much information. With the exception of noed, hex perks are already weak to nerf them even more.

Sadly as much as many survivors want noed to be destroyed, it MUST exist until DS and BT after last gen is powered exist, this two guarante almost all the times a free escape, so giving noed to killers for their free kills is fare right know.

Noed needs to stop being talked about because there are ways around it that entitled survivor mains ignore.

After Kindred was buffed, I don't think the basekit idea is really necessary anymore.

    Actually both really good suggestions.

I do agree NOED can be needed sometimes with gen speed, so survivors knowing it’s there would have no excuse especially if there were counters. Which also means people could stop telling me “cleanse totems,” when as a solo I have no clue how many are left or if they’re all done.

But that would also make SWF stronger. I mean, I get free kindred, so I can use something instead... so now I'm playing with 5 perks AND still in SWF. Or would this only be basekit if you are solo?

    NOED is not an issue.

    Break all totems during match.

Break NOED totem during end game.

    Maps with red twine.

    Detective's Hunch.

    Small game.

    Leaving through gates.

    Leaving through hatch.

    Your eyes.

You have plenty of counters in your arsenal.

How is it that players know and use counters to killer perks (BBQ, Discordance, Spirit Fury to name a few), yet are absolutely brain dead when it comes to NOED?

You should be playing expecting NOED every game, regardless if the killer has it or not.

You do not need to be warned that NOED is active. You do not need a totem counter. You have no excuse as a solo survivor or as a SWF.

    It really isn't that hard.

I used to think Kindred at base kit was a good idea, but after thinking it over, I think it just provides too much info about which direction a Killer might be going in for it to be base kit, even at a reduced distance. I think a more fair idea for base kit would be to have an audio cue that plays whenever the Killer goes within or away from a certain radius of a hooked Survivor.

As for no-speed-boost NOED at base kit...ehhhhh, I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Just run bloody Kindred. Even when I'm in a SWF I run it because the information it gives is crazy.

And NOED base is also laughable. Base kit should be about quality of life and optimization, not massive advantages.

    Make NOED base?

Sure, after we get DS and BT base as well.

    In other words, never.

I hate the idea of a totem counter tally system. I don’t understand why that is suggested because it would really just take away a feeling of uncertainty during end game. Having those moments after the final gen is finished and you’re just waiting to see if the killer’s hit will be an insta down or not is exciting.

What if they made it so that the killer aura reading would kick in if the killer stayed by the hook for more than ten seconds? It would make camping less effective but wouldn't give the survivors the survivor equivalent of BBQ and Chili for free. Also if a survivor went down a hook state without being hooked again then the aura reading of Kindred would kick in, since no one likes being killed on one hook.

I would say Kindred without the killer aura read, and give kindred a better killer aura read, and some additional functionality (maybe a small heal speed buff to non hooked survivors?)

Make all dull totems passively affect survivors. Maybe a 1.5 percent action speed reduction?
