Are DC penalties good for the game?
So, in your opinion, are the healthy for the game? Imo they are because the simply punish people who abandon their team/game.
What about you? It's obviously more complicated but let me know down below.

It's not good for the game, if it's the game's fault you got kicked. Like a bug. :D Which happens to me all the bloody time. The penalties are adding up for something that's not my fault, but THEIR fault. Punish people for bugs in your trash game. Real nice Behaviour

Not at all. Survivors can still quit any time with hook suicide (or just do the gens, if they aren't being killed...) While killer is powerless to force the game to a quick end until all gens pop or hatch is open.
The DC penalty disregards HOW MANY games you play, instead how often (on a clock) you DC. If you play 2 games a day and DC just shy of once per 24 hours, it sits at 5 minute bans, but if you play 30 games a day and DC just a bit more often than once every 24 hours it escalated indefinitely. You should instead get an allowance of 1 DC per (x games, I don't know what a good number would be) so that IF you are using DCs very sparingly and playing through the vast majority of your games, you get no ban at all.

DC penalties help a bit. I think not every survivor who used to dc is now hook suiciding - that's the impression I get from my own matches.
And regarding "players getting punished for being kicked from the game all the time" - it hasn't happened to me one single time yet. And I watch several streamers, and I've never seen it happen to them, either. (It will happen to me at some point, sure, but I don't see how players can accumulate dc penalties of several hours by just getting kicked from the game.)
