Yeah, the "teleportation" is caused by lag and bad connection with Dedicated Servers as a whole, it's either caused by your connection, which might not be bad itself it's just the connection to DS's, and/or the host themselves that's lagging periodically in chases.

It's not AS common as the rubber-banding used to be before Dedicated Servers, but it's still something that happens from time to time in-game against players OR from your connection itself. Lag will always make games a lot harder or "unplayable", eliminating lag entirely is a hard feat in itself.

So do i just hope everything lines up eventually? I had the most delayed match of my life after writing this post and i just couldn't believe how delayed the killers model was compared to where he was on his screen. It made me frustrated and sad, theres no point in playing a game where the connection is uncertain. So much for trying to learn the game again when i can't or don't even want to play anymore. It seemed fine at the beginning of the game then after 15m it got seriously seriously suspicious

I'm sorry you feel that way.

As far as what you can do... I don't personally know. I would love to give you an answer to fix your problem, but I don't really have one that could fix this... if you even can that is. Maybe you can try contacting support to see if they have a solution for you, it's the best I can really offer in terms of finding an answer at least.

If it's any consolation, I do hope your issue is resolved and that you can give DBD a try again without any interruptions.

It sounds like you're experiencing the same problem a lot of people are at the moment, which is being matched with players outside your region. From the sounds of it, it's likely a matchmaking bug, which means unfortunately there's not a whole lot that you can do about it, especially as a survivor when you can't see the killer's ping. The only thing I can think of that might help you out is posting in the Technical Issues (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/technical-issues) or Bug Reports (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/categories/bug-reports) subforums and seeing if there is someone there who might know what's going on and be able to help you out.

I can even tag @MandyTalk here, she's pretty knowledgable about what's going on behind the scenes, so she may be able to let us know why people are being matched with those from other regions and whether there's a planned fix or anything like that.

Thanks guys, I had my soul crushed playing yesterday after gaining a beautiful mindset after the past few weeks of lagging and i ######### it all up because things out of my control. I fully appreciate it and if it's still a big enough problem I'll seek out technical help on the forums but because my isp has always been messy in the past I'll have to see my options if i have any.
