Do they deliberately make it difficult to see a key coming in ?

I mean there is a perk for your exact problem, it's not like ruin is a good perk anymore so I doubt you have it in your go to killer perk build.

Killers are not walking away ?
Looks at survivor wait times, looks at killer wait times. shrugs
Looks at surv wait times again for the reds to get once again another green/purple rank killer.
Conclusion don't let anyone fool you that people are walking away from playing killer, that's.............FAKE NEWS !!!
Well then count, if you are correct, any concerns about lack of killers and all the consequences that follow through from that now need not be concerned about, cause as you inform us, killers are not walking away, nuh uh, it's just me.

Survivors can't see anything let alone a mori before the match loads. That's why I don't feel bad about throwing a key on until the 6 second mark of the timer on the rare occasion that I am bringing a key

How about Ruin? Baby survivors dont remember it anymore? lol

I don't have to be sold on the mori (offering) are bs. I'm coming from the view as killer who doesn't use mori as such the whole yeah but what about mori for killer as a counter to keys doesn't do anything for me here.
If i'm survivor and some one does the mori (offering) thing, I don't consider it a game, my attitude is fine take the kills have all the kills if you really want, lets just do this quickly so we can move on. I mean I could do something similar as killer where I don't see the "invisible" key at the lobby but then see it in game that doesn't involve the d/c.
Well that's if I can bother with another survivor que ? but who got time for that, where did all the killers go anyway. No where apparently, everything is fine, or as so I've been told.

You're right on the mark with that one.

I’m not talking about people choosing not to play killer ever again, I’m talking about people choosing to disconnect in the middle of a game just because they are carrying a key. If you can’t see that then you are just seeing what you want. This discussion is going nowhere so I’ll leave you to your petty rambling.
There is NO explanation where you say that you’re disconnecting midgame and coming out to be the “good guy” in this discussion. You’re ruining the game for everybody else. End of story.

Everything here is wrong, if the survivors 3 gen'd themselves and I have all of them injured and on death hook is that a loosing situation? Because it's completely unfair that I can down and hook one of them only for the other three to instantly escape through the hatch across the map, "standing on the hatch" to get hits doesn't work, if you hit them they can pass through you and open the hatch, also "its okay if someone goes through hatch, just close it and automatically repair the last gen for the other survivors" is pretty much what you just said

Excuse me ? You were clearly disputing my whole killers are walking away, and you were like, nah YOU are walking away blah blah blah. Then I referenced that whole survivor wait times vs killer time thing.
So no you don't get to make up revisionist history of what did or did not take place.
Did i mention that what is going to be left as reasonable killers leave is longer wait times to get a camping LF/hard tunnel mori killers cause everyone else has fracked off ?
But, but, YOU are ruining the game.
Kinda hard to ruin it ( at least on the killer side) when you play less and less till the point you hardly play at all.
Still having trouble figuring it out me thinks.

As a killer main all I can saw it's not that hard to see if you look at there hand and it doesn't open up it's a key. If the hand snaps into place they just equiped the key right there. If you find it hard to play around a key just use Franklin's. If it's mid match and you didn't see it you should see it when you knock them then tunnel them out of the game to remove the key and wait to see if it drops. A key is a item you can play around if you pay attention and it's really not that hard unless they are playing a stealth play style. Hope you learn that it's not that hard to counter keys and most of the time when they get used it's only 1 or 2 survivors that escape which is the average or above average kills that you just got.

Go back and reread my initial post in this thread which you chose to debate me over. There is no revisionist history here. You took my opinion on the subject of disconnecting and went on a different tangent. My point remains the same as it always did. The only person disconnecting because of people carrying keys is YOU.

Sometimes I hear about using tunnel/mori as a response to key.
Suffice to say if we are talking about tunnel/mori as a response to a problem, something has gone greatly wrong, also I think you need to update your survivor rule book, 21st edition now available in all good book stores.
I have to disagree there have been times I have looked real hard, have NOT seen the key.
Crazy idea, here me out, make the key as easy to see as a med kit/box, I know, I know, I'm a mad man with mad ideas.

Real talk here, if you're having trouble seeing keys, maybe look at the hand instead? See, if a survivor has no item their right hand is open and empty. So if they're holding a key their hand will be a fist to grip the item. Maybe stop trying to look for a small hard to see object instead of looking for the sign that it's there?
0 -
Of course looking for the key I look for the closed fist/holding item. But that doesn't necessarily mean a key is there. Also there is the issue of how much of the hand you can see depending how they are standing.
Again, we don't have these conversations on medkits now do we.
So again, by design ?

If the key is as easy to see as other items then I would not d/c, since I would dodge it in the first place. Kinda feel people who complain about the d/c on key miss that. it's all about d/c, d/c OMG the d/c. And for the sake of accuracy the d/c comes at the start of the game, when you first see the key in game, NOT mid game.
I think I can speak for other killers/former killers out there when I say with all the added bs a "reasonable" killer has to put up with, i'm not going to get f*cked over by a key, an invisible key I can't sometimes see in the lobby, something which has happens alot more lately I assume because of the key challenges.
Insult me all fooking day if you want, say nasty things, claim i'm ruining the game and what ever else you got.
That's a line for me to walk away from killer, and Ill bet i'm not the only one.
If every survivor had your attitude, you wouldn't have to worry about killers "ruining the game" cause there wouldn't be anyway.
Reasonable people walk away when things become unreasonable, so guess who is left when the reasonable killers go away ?
Still having trouble figuring it out ?
I'm gonna take a guess what is going in your head right now................. D/C, D/C,D/C, D/C

Keys actually help killers more than they realize. People with keys tend to hide all game and then they stop doing gens altogether when the hatch spawns and spend the rest of the match looking for it even when the game is still in reach. In most cases a key acts as a distraction and hurts the team overall especially in solo matches. In swf matches where everyone is communicating it's more of an issue for killer. But in solo keys suck and as a solo survivor I avoid lobbies where someone brings one.

lol the more you try to make excuses the more guilty you sound. D/C at the beginning is even worse than in the middle because at least we earned some points up until then. There’s nothing more aggravating than just barely starting the game only to have it cancelled that second because somebody left. I’m sure it has happened to everybody and has groaned over it before. And all because of a person like you. Thanks buddy! You rule!

OMG THE D/C !!!
Wow so unexpected.........
Here is a fun fact for you, I decided to not play killer tonight, you know take a break from "ruining the game"
As I wait and wait and wait for a survivor game.
Why people no play killer ? Why I can't get game. Killer needs to learn to play killer no matter what, me mad, me sad.
You still don't get it.
But, but, but the D/C.......

What's really going to blow your mind is a third of the time that key you dodged or are a DC penalty for can't even open the hatch.
1 -
lol. As if a disconnecting killer is better than no killer at all. I’m personally glad you’re done because it’ll be less time wasted for everybody else. :)
0 -
All your actions show me your that kind of survivor who is part of the problem that pushes people away from the killer side.
Your tiny mind thinks as such, killer d/c's unseen key, insult, insult, I win, good he don't play killer "time" will be saved.
BIG PICTURE, reasonable killers walk away, can't make the cost/benefit side of playing killer work and your overall waiting time increases and you get an increase in probability of bad games, eg Facing camping LF/Ebony Mori tunnel, because why bother playing reasonable if your just going to get ######### on ? Killers walk, yes even if you keep insulting them, even if you tell them, hey just play under these conditions, do it, I demand it, they still walk, and that is what makes your position self defeating, as the consequences of this mentality come to fruition and there you are wasting so much "time" on the survivor side.
Yeah but...................THE D/C !!!
Good luck, I just get the feeling your gonna need it.

Lol! You are quite the hoot. I play both survivor AND killer and, believe me, as far as this conversation goes I am pulling punches. Why? Because it isn’t worth it. You keep referring to yourself as a “reasonable” killer. Sorry. You’re anything but. You disconnect over keys. KEYS!!! That’s just asinine. But hey whatever floats your boat man. Just a quick mention that keys aren’t going away ever, and there are challenges created to use them. Have fun!
0 -
That's the toxic survivor mentality right there, hey killer your gonna play regardless of conditions, your gonna play by the survivor rule book, and your gonna let yourself get screwed over by keys.
You expect people to continue a bad deal, utterly self defeating position.
A leads to B Leads to C.........I won't explain this again to you.
Your not arguing with me, your arguing against human nature/self interest, like I said good luck.
I just get the feeling your own stupidity blinds you. But hey, lots of stupid in the world.
0 -
And you’re arguing against the rules of the game. Keys are as valid as flashlights, toolboxes, and med kits. But you have chosen keys to be your main gripe. An item that 90% of the time gets wasted, and not all of them are even capable of opening the hatch. You keep accusing me of being toxic, but I am not the one in this conversation that is disconnecting because somebody has chosen to use a legit item that I don’t like used. Do you think I as a killer like flashlights shined in my face at every pallet I break? Of course not, but I don’t disconnect over it. Grow thicker skin or don’t play the game. I don’t give a rat if people escape me using keys because killing absolutely everybody isn’t essential to my self worth. I’m sure that it you were any good of a killer you could shut that stuff down. Use Franklin’s Demise if it bothers you that bad. Just stop ruining people’s game over your bruised ego. Sheesh!

Yeah nice strawman on that whole ego thing, tough guy takes down strawman of their own making, declares themself winner.
And yet the killers still walk away...
But it's YOU that is ruining the game
I'm done with the stupid.

Survivors dont know about moris why should killers know about keys?
0 -
I've always said moris are bs, I don't use them (except for a meme or something between known people). I've never seen a mori offering game as an actual game of dbd game, I see it more like a game of chess where some person just slams the chess board on the ground and screams dominos ######### and declares themself the winner. In both situations I'd just like to get it over and done quickly and move on, and even better to be avoided all together if possible, like keys...
So the mori thing when i'm playing killer isn't part of my equation since I don't use it and expanding on your own reasoning, if i don't use moris why do I have to deal with keys ? Am I going to take action to avoid that bs if possible ? Your God damm right I am.
Keys and Moris are the low hanging fruit that can easily be dealt with, as I see these things bringing more pain than joy and can just either get deleted or reworked.
The reason we should be more focused on the killer side of things isn't because the survivor side is nothing but puppies and rainbows, but rather that the killer side of things is worse.......much worse. The whole survivor wait times and who they eventually get matched with is a testament to that.

I get it now. You make rules for yourself and have a hissy fit when others don’t follow your unwritten laws. Gotcha. It’s like playing chess and getting mad at others for using a knight. You are a laugh riot!

Why DC over a key? Do your best and move on. Keep going and you'll get to the point where keys don't phase you :)

Saying that would be me saying don't bring moris either but yall aren't gonna do that tho right?

"Sincerely, a killer who gets to hide their moris until the loading screen"

I completely agree, something needs to be done about the key's visibility. @not_Queen @PatBrutal @Peanits
Here is an example : One of the Claudette is holding a key, tell me which one.
The least that could be done, is make them silver instead of black, so at least we could see some silver shine near the hands of the survivors.

Well said.
