Can someone please explain how this counts as a hit?
I'm honestly confused. There was no animation unless it was subtle asf. I just don't understand. Latency can't account for THIS much of a discrepancy.

i am going to guess what it shows and just say dedicated servers.
If a killer somehow has 200 ping he will hit you from far away. It is the same with hitting a survivor while they are dropping pallets. I have exceptionally low ping and i CAN'T hit through pallets like you see twitch streamers do.

Just know that the killer was closer then you thought it was, server delay, they are working on it.

no. no. i refuse to believe this is dedicated servers. i refuse to believe latency was the only determining factor in this nonsense. clearly there's a bug.

when i slow it down i finally see the animation for the hit but the palette was being pulled down during the animation and it was clear they were each on the other side of the palette. if server delay is this huge then ######### is BHVR doing with their server?

They explained it on the devstream before the last devstream.
You cant see it on this vid as this is the survivor playing, if you would look at the killers POV it would make sense that the hit connected.
The servers will give the killer the hit if the hit worked from the killers perspective most of the time, this can lead to hits that you would cry BS on from a survivor side and again, they are working on this.

Whats wrong with that hit? I don't see the problem. That's not even dedi server that's boyo dropping the pallet too late.

this happens to me 100 times. it is really bad. they should only make the hit if you arent throwing the pallet down. as soon as you throw pallet, the hit shouldnt get through anymore. same with windows, 1 meter from window and you can still get hit

watch the devstream before the last, they are talking pretty much only about this and why it happens and what they are going to do about it.
And if you are going to claim that is just them saying something but not actual proof they are working on it, then fine, no proof can be provided that would convince you at that point.

I was honestly curious if they've made any public announcement on dedicated servers. The hits aren't fair 2/3's of the time.

Latecy is one thing. I'll chalk it up to that if it's like .25/.5 second disparity. But how can latency account for an animation not being anywhere near the hitbox?
I've seen the dev stream and I still can't chalk this up to latency
