Camaraderie has the same problem as old Kindred, so it should have the same solution.
Just to put it in perspective, here is old Kindred:
While you are on a hook, it takes effect. But with the new version:
...it works with ANYBODY on the hook. For Camaraderie, it's backwards. Camaraderie pauses your hook timer when somebody comes close, which is actually really good if you're in a party, but pretty unnoticable while playing alone.
Here's current Camaraderie for reference:
My suggestion is to make it work with other Survivors in the struggle phase too, when YOU come close to them. So, if someone else is on the struggle phase and you come near them(16m), they will be notified and their timer is paused for the given time. Like Kindred, this may seem really strong, but this change will simply strengthen the perk to its maximum potential, which is what it needs. Also, if four people run this perk, someone could struggle on the hook for a ludicrous amount of time if coordinated correctly.
Also, PLEASE make it so that people are notified when Camaraderie activates, such as making your hook icon in the bottom left corner light up like it would with an obsession switch, or the same way Vigil does. It'll make this perk a lot better for solo players like myself. So, this is what the perk should look like:
Camaraderie
Life has taught you the importance of friendship which has given you strength.
If you are within 16 meters of another Survivor on a hook in the Struggle Phase, their Struggle Phase timer is paused for 26/30/34 seconds.
If another Survivor is within 16 meters of your hook during in the Struggle Phase, your Struggle Phase timer is paused for 26/30/34 seconds.

That’s literally what I thought the perk did originally. And I was very disappointed when I tried to use it and figured out it was super bad

I just wish it would give you a little mark on your hook icon that you have Camaraderie

Anything like that is what I’m hoping for. The bar flashing isn’t enough info.

The flashing bar also appears for killer if I am not mistaken. The killer should not know about Camaraderie and I find this to be the most frustrating part about Camaraderie.

The bar actually does not flash from the Killer’s perspective.

Oh I must be making things up in my head then because I always found it odd how killers always knew I was going to get saved without vision of the hook and before another survivor started the unhook sorry 😂

That just goes to show how hard it is to notice. 😅
